    In this San Diego golf lesson, Porzak Golf helps Jimmy with getting his aim with his feet and shoulders correct in his setup. Jimmy was coming too far from the inside due to a hand path that was too "deep". Adam Porzak helps Jimmy with keeping his arms more in front of his body on the way down, improving his golf hand path. These golf tips and golf drills will help you if you have the same problem. Thanks for watching this golf lesson!

    Great tips, picking up a lot of good info on the structure of the swing itself. Also some process which many skip over. Thanks!

    For two years I have been refining my setup, and with great success(I believe that 90 percent of missed shots happen because of faulty setup), but this refined set of concepts of the how to setup sequence helped to refine my process and in only two weeks. thank you again for this detailed analysis...stressdr.

    Good morning. Jimmy was releasing the club early and some what behind him. You then had him keep his arms more out in front of him and the hands moving to the left. When releasing the club through the ball is there a deliberate hit made at the ball with the hands or is it all centrifugal force and gravity. I love your teachings. Thank you.

    That's exactly what I do is come a little over it in the ball going straight butt left or that spinny over draw. I like what you said about getting the hands out more in front of your body but then that makes me feel like I'm going to go more left

    6:54 I’ll line it up on the toe a bit because when I raise the club head up to the ball, it’s right in the middle, I rest it on the ground, it’s lined up on the toe again. That helped me from hitting balls off the the heel. 👍🏼🤷🏽

    Eric, you mentioned keeping the hands below the club on the downswing until it releases at parallel. How do you do that? Do you hold off the release with the right hand or is it achieved through faster body rotation through the ball? Thanks.

    Everything has worked that you've taught, its simple and explained with reason behind it. You have a great way of presenting. I'm striking it great, but in this vid the hand path explanation around 18 minute mark didn't work for me, i copied it from watching in slow motion. Just wondering if you exaggerated the motion for feel purposes? (You're showing how to stop early release because of having the hands behind then dropping the club). I went out to copy this and just didn't work but it did get me to keep my angles and keep the club above the hands for longer and maybe that was all you were trying to show, thanks for all your help, golf is exciting again!

    Watched this a few times love it and get something new every time. Question the feeling of getting more left jimmy started doing with his irons and later wedges. Would that carry into driver/longer clubs also?

    • @PorzakGolf
      @PorzakGolf  2 роки тому

      It depends on the player, everyone has different tendencies with different clubs. Only if he needed to, then yes he could. But i don't remember that being the case that day.

    Feeling the right shoulder move out towards the ball (over the top-ish) could also help the handpath, correct?

    Do you ever have students train with the impact ball or smart ball? I feel like that accomplishes the hands in front of the body item that you are teaching at the end of this video.

    • @PorzakGolf
      @PorzakGolf  2 роки тому +1

      Hey Corey, I've never seen Adam or Mike use these training aids, I think I have heard Adam recommend the smart ball to someone. Both are great training aids. They are really good about getting the feels and drills into the swing as fast as possible with little outside help. - Gabe

    So it’s almost like you want him to feel like he’s hitting it left? That will take his path where you’re wanting it??

      For this lesson at this time, yes! As you can see it worked out well for Jimmy, straightened his flight and contact improved:) - Gabe

    You say keep your hands infront of your chest throughout your backswing, but every golfer you show clearly does not have their hands in front of their chest at the top of their backswing. Your examples just don't line up with your instruction. Am I missing something?
