    In this video, Adam and Todd go over the key to a more powerful turn. We have heard it before on this channel but the Hip Bump allows the golfer to rotate freely through the swing. This tip is essential for all golfers who want to strike the ball with consistency and efficiency.

    Adam I started playing golf a little over a year ago. I took 3 lessons to start and have been scouring all of youtube for help. After all this time your videos have finally helped things click for me. Now I am finally seeing what I practice out on the golf course. I still have ways to go but I just wanted to stop and mention how much I appreciate the way you teach. I will continue to follow as I keep learning. Thank you.

    For many years, I've been dealing with a shortened lead leg while playing, tirelessly searching for instructors and online resources to address my leg length discrepancy, but without any success-until I came across your guidance. The hip bump, as the initial setup correction, effectively rectifies both the spine angle and the misalignment of the shoulders and hips that often accompany leg length discrepancies. I'm truly grateful for your validation that this is a common issue among golfers and for your innovative solution to help us overcome it.

    Very important that you mentioned the shorter leg. Big difference now with interpretation. I’m the opposite with leg length and I’m left eye dominant. It makes a difference in setup, big time. Most people including teachers ignore my pleas for its importance. Thanks

    This is a great video as others I have seen regarding hip rotation (I'm a lefty) talk about turning your front knee "around the corner" during the downswing for proper rotation. That move, in my case, seems to require another unnecessary timing mechanism. Where your fromt leg post seems to naturally lead to proper hip rotation...good stuff!

    Adam, I discovered your videos a few months ago. I'vej watched nearly all of your channel archives. Love your teaching of the fundamentals, articulation and positive energy. I like the "back to the basics" approach of emphasizing fundamentals. Especially like your passionate work with talented junior & collegiate players. Would love to see some more clips of lessons with mid handicap 50+ students, too.
    How the weight shifts in the swing is critical. Such a challenge for most not just to do, but to understand and correctly feel. So I'm loving this video with Todd!
    Question: What drill(s) would you recommend for the following player profile and issue(s)?
    * 50 Y.O. 6'3" semi-fit player
    * Right leg length discrepancy (shorter) with weaker right glute with healing labral tear
    * Two way miss from tendency to "collapse" the right knee and "hang back" (ie leave weight) on right side, into and through impact.
    * Player miss tendency is the dreaded two way miss of occasional big block cuts, or pull hooks sent out of play and leading to one-three big, soul crushing numbers per 18 round.
    * Player "early extends/moves pelvis into the ball" at impact. Complains of "feeling to steep" in the downswing and "stands up out of spine angle" to flatten the shaft/"drop it into the slot"
    Keep up your awesome work. Would love to come take a lesson sometime.

    Adam, first of all I love your instruction, professionalism and energy. You mentioned your left leg being a little shorter. My right leg is 2 inches shorter than my left. I’m a great driver of the golf ball and a massively high ball hitter with just about every club. It’s very easy for me to stay behind the ball but I obviously struggle getting to my lead side. I also wear an orthotic to mitigate the length difference a little but do you have any “feels” or setup suggestions to help? I’ve been through a few instructors and never really found the “solution”. Thank you in advance if you have the opportunity to respond.

    I love the bump, I used to stack and tilt and got the worst shanks ever. Bumping allows me to shift my weight effortlessly without trying to counter balance my body. I went to a coach previously that had instant video feedback and I would lead forward to counter balance taking the club away and then try to time the downswing/impact.

    I spent 3 years trying to learn Stack & Tilt, including getting lessons from both Andy and Mike. Both are really great guys and Mike is a ball hitting machine. That being said, S&T ruined my game! Because of my S&T background, what your video starts to explain at 1:33 with regard to getting your right hip pocket to go back and your "weight" going to the right is very difficult for me to do. I tend to "hang" on my left side because of the S&T influence. I'm going to try the lead leg swing drill you demonstrate at 7:10 and see if that will help me feel what posting on my left hip feels like, without falling back into my old bad S&T habits. 🙏

    Been working on stuff similar, I've found that bad golfers including myself when I'm playing bad have loud feet. You can kind of get by with it with driver but watching pros I don't see a lot of foot lift with irons but it's always taught as a bandaid if you can't rotate lift your foot etc. But really if you stay grounded like you are it's more powerful

    Hey Adam, “push off the brace” - is a trail foot push that initiates the downswing?
    I’m used to a slight lateral shift to get pressure to lead side but as you don’t do this I’m wondering what I should be trying to do. You say here that the upper body turn is what transfers the weight, but kinematically we need to start the downswing with the lower body, right? Thanks 🙏
