Nice video Dave. Gauges are not something to scrimp on. Always buy at least one step above what you can afford. Remember hot rodding is buying parts you don't need with money you don't have to impress people you don't know. Thank you for your time.

The speedometer to trans hook up is as simple to connect as can be. Very slick set up.

Nothing against Dakota Digital or "Brothers / Holley" making some money, but boy, it adds up quick. Repairing a 67 C10 as a retired ASE Master fell into my lap as son quit the project he wanted. I spent $100 on an 87 era 700R4 and the standard 40 tooth tone ring call reluctor. It's OEM slides off the output shaft and a 92-95 "F-body" Camero, Firebird slides on with a pipe. Stopping at forward scribe mark places is dead center of sensors hole. The same sensor those years used two wires that generate an A/C signal the PCM rectifies into terminals call VSS Hi, VSS low. Makes no difference which wire you use as it simply produces an "On/Off signal taking low to ground. I add a ground wire at frame next to the trans, wrap it in drill nine times per foot to reduce any RFI" into the cable. I terminate ground outside harness next to the PCM and wrap it in foil tape. A single VSS wire goes to an aftermarket speedo which most simple has you mark a mile post, drive and stop (Read Instructions) so instead of GPS and having 3 satellites communicate which is lost in tunnels or high builds, this keeps work with your choice of tire size, final drive ratio or gear selection like the Over Drive 0.70:1 found in the 700R4, 4L60e, 4L65e or what is in your ride. Just remember to get the sensors connector, solder copper cores and shrink tube all with a dab of dielectric grease to eliminate high resistance from moisture and microscopic movements call "Fretting" from vibration as found in injectors found in "TBS". Make a wiring diagram to show colors, connector cavities and create a service manual unique for your ride. Helps for future repairs, adds valve to the vehicle and keeps labor cost down if it quits running when 300 miles from nowhere. It's in your favor, not the repair tech. Professional, no problems, part numbers including "Earls Fitting" hose size, length and part number if damaged. Stay safe! DK, Omaha.

This video by Dave from Brothers Trucks how-to on having functional kustom gauges which is very important have to know mph , temperature & fuel mileage on classic truck without guessing or worst being on side of road.

A great way to get rid of idiot lights in the directions sounds idiot-proof. Nice original looking cluster with functional updates. I see I thought why would I want a computer in my old truck? Then I thought it gets rid of a lot of old 50-year wiring and above all that printed circuit board on the back! I remember having a soldering jumper wires on those things when I was a kid and that's pretty hard to do. A good way to protect all that time and money invested in the updates and not depend on 50 plus year old idiot lights. On the other side of things that's a nice looking old truck you got there. Looks like about 1962.

Long time a fan of your work. It actually inspired me to do a project on C10 1965 truck. The plan is to chop 2-4 inches on the cab. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
