Man I miss these videos. I learned so much from them. It’s always a shame to see companies change when they get bought out.
These videos are awesome. Absolutely invaluable for us younger guys who never owned these trucks before and don't have anyone around to teach us. Never touched a carb until I rescued an 85 C20 from a rancher last month :)
Why did you go for a c20 instead of a c10? Just curious cause I notice a lot of people have the c20's
Dave, once again, a very good explanation of what not to do and what you should do. Sealants, thread locker, high temp wire loom wrap plus shrink tubing. Nice touch on tinning the wire ends before the go under the controller box terminals.
It is few who would include a ground with the VSS (Vehicle Speed Signal) and in dealers from the VSS to Crank Angle Sensor are chucked in a drill & vise, twisted 9 times per foot which reduces or eliminates RFI for a clean input signal.
I enjoy wiring from
scratch and use nylon wire ties held loosely until wires are run, added, or relocated or moved. Then cut away and sacrificed as the loom is installed.
(Tech Tip) If your budget allows for split convoluted harness, just be aware of temp ranges for materials because they are different. But when tapping a "Y" or "Termination", add a little black weatherstrip adhesive to the tag end. When rolled and pushed into place, it will not come apart and loosen.) Dielectric grease is very important additive for copper terminals inside the plastic connectors. They are protected from moisture, water and temp changes that produce dew! Under the dash, I like to provide a marked ground 2-3" in length. It makes for a quick consistent point of ground for testing and diagnostics. Eyelet on end to steering column and 1/2" tinned tag end for test light or digital multi meter (DMM), it will come in handy if out of town and a circuit failure occurs.

Dave, my son and I have watched so many of your videos while we restore my grandpa's 63 C10, we feel like you're an old friend. Thanks for being part of our family!
Awww thanks man really needed that right now. Really appreciate it 🙏
Dave when are you coming back? We miss your videos
@A.R.T.Customs I miss your videos on Brothers trucks. Hopefully you are doing well after your departure after the Holley fiasco.
@@A.R.T.Customs my two sons and I have square bodies and have also learned so much from you on the Brothers Truck Parts channel. Just subscribed to A.R.T. Customs with notifications turned on. Looking forward to continuing to learn from you.
Thanks for your guidance and advice for this project, some people just don’t like doing electrical or dashboard work, you make it seem easy, thanks David, see you next Tuesday!
Well this is 10 months later from this episode. I don't remember leaving you a message so recently as in a month ago. But I'm still subscribed to this channel and still hoping that something comes about.
Dave’s got cool hair.
I wish I had Dave’s hair.
Gotta get me one of those gauge clusters for my square.
Just noticed nó videos for past two weeks. What's going on? I count on Dave's content every week. I'm knee deep a 1966 C10 restomod and Dave's tips are invaluable.
Brian, Brothers is working on creating more helpful videos for our followers and we will be back to sharing them soon.
Dave, exactly what I plan to do to my '66 C10. I'll revisit once I'm ready to install it. Keep up the great work.
Very nice!!! Keep doing these videos, they are very informative.
I hope Dave is doing alright. Haven’t seen a video in a while.
Keep on keeping on y’all! 🛻💨
Doing the same thing on my 62 C10 project soon....well, after all the metal work is done. Easiest way to get my 5 speed to work the speedo, ha.
Excellent video. I had a shop install 5.3LS in my 61 three years ago. The shop installed the Dakota gauges so I had very little knowledge on how it was installed. This was great! Presently my voltage gauge drops lower when I turn on lights or push the brake. I checked voltage at the battery all good, suspect a bad ground. I noticed you did not mention the voltage gauge set up. Thanks for sharing your know how!
I really enjoy your weekly videos but haven’t seen any for a while. I hope all is well with Dave!
Nice job David thanks for sharing 🇺🇸looks great
Thanks!! Needed this man!!!
DAMN MISS YA DAVE
another tuesday and no video from Dave Welch and Brothers Truck. What's going on? I miss Dave's videos and his insightful instruction. When can we expect more content?
Hello we are working on creating more helpful content for our follower and will be sharing again soon.
Well I just watched your speedometer cluster installation. It looks nice and it looks like it could be stock from the face of it.
Excellent presentation bro
WoW....!!!! nice work...!!!!!
Have you guys ever thought about a kit to install a touchscreen head unit in or on the dash for GPS, Satellite Radio, Bluetooth, Multiple Cameras? You upgrade everything else to retromod old trucks. I thought of putting it in the Cigarette lighter/ashtray. Would be cool.
Dear friends I miss your videos!😢 They have to come back! greetings from Argentina!! 🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷
awesome
WHAT HAPPENED!!! These videos are incredible. Imagine my disappointment not seeing a new one. Will it be coming out soon?
Hello, Brothers is working on creating more helpful videos and will be sharing soon.
I’ve got my 69 C10 cab a little crooked to the frame. It sits about 2 inches to the right or it’s rotating clockwise and isn’t square in comparison to the frame. I was wondering if you guys have any tips to square this away
These videos are great, where is the next video???
Hello David, Brothers is working on creating more helpful videos to share soon.
Hi Dave! Long story short...I tried to buy a beater for my son and apparently accidentally bought a classic. Can you do a video about how to delete the evap canister and what to reroute? He has a 1985 Silverado. The truck wont start since we removed it.
Did Brothers discontinue parts for the 49-51 Chevy 3100 pickup truck? If so did they sell that inventory to another company? My 51 3100 has a front disk brake kit and it would be nice to know where I could buy replacement parts should something break in the future.
Hello, Brothers still offers parts for 1947-87 Chevy & GMC trucks you can use the link below to shop. You can also call our customer services line 1-800-977-BROS.

@@BROTHERSTruckPartsTV Thanks, I was looking for "3100" in the Holley website drop-down menu. I see it's under "Truck" in a very long list of options. Holley could lose some customers and I think they should change the menu from "Truck" to "3100 Truck".
Oh brother where art thou?? Hey I'm not big George Clooney fan but the question ⁉️ fits.
Brothers will be returning soon with new helpful videos.
@@BROTHERSTruckPartsTV thank you and I hope that you're having a decent time off. Maybe even a vacation. There's been many who have wondered and are concerned. Well if nothing else is nice to know when you are missed.
Is there ever going to be any new videos?
Nope
@@A.R.T.Customs What happened?
Holley corporation
@@A.R.T.Customs That sucks, the videos were always great and informative. Have we seen the last of Dave on the youtube?
Man, its been almost a year since a video. Sorry guys time to unsubscribe.
So Holley put an end to all these nice informative videos? :(
