I recommend either the LX-9 or the EP-960 models. They both have the extended bar for the ankle adjustments and they both have the longer handles to assist in getting out of the incline positions. In my opinion, Teeter is the class of these inversion tables. At 83 years old and living alone I tend to limit myself to a 60 degree setting. 3-5 minutes a day works miracles.
Got mine two weeks ago. BEST health decision I ever made. Car accident going to work left me with 2-3 compression fracture in my spine (L1,L2), fractured tailbone, bulging disks in neck(C4,C5) and tons of shoulder pain along with it. Been off work for over a year now and this is the one thing after buying every foam roller, paying for massages and chiro, CBD yadda yadda, neck and back stretchers, changing sleeping patterns, pain pills, self adjusting, wifey walking on my back…. This is the one thing that lets me know brighter days are coming ❤
Bless your heart, I was a cheerleader & played softball for 10+ yrs in HS & ended up w/a herniated disc @ 18 & surgery at 19....fast forward to age 53 & several spine surgeries later (1 failed lower fusion & 1 redo lower fusion) 1 neck fusion & having another above that one next month....your disc will start to herniate all the way up/down if the wrong surgeon gets hold of you. PLEASE continue the inversion therapy, take care of your spine & I Pray you live a long, pain free life! We are getting my Husband one of the Teeter brand so he can keep doing ju jitsu! Thanks for this tutorial & for the confidence in the machine!🌻😊

My Husband is 6’2” 280lbs and the table holds him steadily, works smoothly & so far is helping a LOT We are hoping that daily use will help him avoid surgery.🤞🏼I Pray that you will continue to heal to 100% & wish you a future with a Strong, Healthy Spine!!🤩
@@kenmastersmasterYou are correct, I just happened to get an overzealous surgeon with my 1st lumbar fusion (he fused too many levels, I was only 25 & already had 4 previous & successful microdiscectomies by a neurosurgeon; I could still play softball etc after those but the fusion disabled me for life. Thankfully after the bad/1st fusion collapsed a more skilled sports spine surgeon was able to remove the Harrington rods & screws & refuse with donor bone & it’s held up beautifully for 20+ years (can’t do anything about arthritis though 😩). I saw in your other comment you are considering microsurgery on your disc, even 30 yrs ago mine helped tremendously (I was young, stubborn & dumb & got back to playing ball too quickly & needed more surgeries). I am 81 yrs old and have been using my Teeter for the past 12 yrs. I have had back problems ever since being in military service. Tried a lot of different things to get my back to function better but it has been a struggle. The Teeter has been a real life saver for me, I only have to streach for a count of 60 and it usually gets me back to where my back pain is relieved, if not then I use a ice pack on my back for a few hours and I am able to deal with my back. My Teeter is not quit as fancy as yours but it sure has done the job for me. Get video.
Love to it hear it! I am going to be putting out another video soon about this and all of the other products and tricks I’ve been using to keep my back healthy!
Hi Riley, I'm looking forward to an update on this Teeter table as well as some of the other items you have tried to help with your back recovery. I've injured my back a couple of "good" times. I'm in the worst shape ever due to fear of injury. I was always very active with a physical job and surfing. Not anymore. I barely make it out of the house. I desperately want to improve, but mentally blocked. I still have nerve issues with 2 bulging disks in my low back. Quick question/short answer ... do you still use this as part of your routine and do you recommend? Sorry, that was 2 questions 😅
Just bought this exact model and it's absolute heaven for my back. I was influenced by an elderly man I knew years ago who had one set up in his living room- it basically took up the whole living room, it was that important to him. IYKYK 🙃
I have no issues with inversion tables from Amazon, I have tried 3 so far one from a big 5 years back and a couple from Amazon. Most fail to realize Amazon has all the big names too, I just got a new inversion table for $200 which is definitely not the cheapest either on Amazon and its pretty solid, more solid than the $300 one I got from big 5 and it also has massage and heat unlike the more expensive one.
I have had mine for years. It’s saves me. However, when I moved someone else took it apart, I did not check the pivot point. I luckily had my Ugg boots on because I have a bad ankle and find wearing snow boots unlaced or Ugg’s cushion my ankles. Well thank god because I got stuck upside down. I could not get myself back up. Well now I know how it can happen. But I was able to slide my feet pretty easily out of the boots and slowly lowered myself to the floor. So for now on those are the only shoes I wear when I use it. Of course I have it balanced properly again but learned a valuable lesson. Especially if others use it and move the positions at all. So test what would you do if that happened, with a buddy!. Also second safety… I always wear my I watch or keep my phone on me or both. I really love this. I sit all day and I could not live without it to decompress and relax my back muscles.

I just bought one yesterday just for the exercise factor. I have no back pain but love the feel of being upside down and stretching. I have always streched using a chin up bar but this is another level
I have two inversion tables. This one is definitely the best one on the market. You stated that you also have been seeing doctors and getting shots. Are these cortisone shots? How many have you had since the injury. What other steps have you taken in your rehab? Thank you in advance.
Yeah I’ve seen 2 doctors now. Got an MRI which showed 2 herniated disks, but only one of them was hitting a nerve. The shots I got were cortisone, it was a whole procedure to get it, but went smooth. They said it would help for 3 months, I am beyond that timing now and I feel so much better still. The things I have done that helped the most: -Started sleeping with a pillow between my legs, I’m a side sleeper. And on for lumbar support. -Avoid any squats and deadlifts for at least a year - docs orders -Inversion table -back strengthening exercises (this is probably one of the biggest things) I tried so many things, even bought a tens unit, massage chair, special shoe inserts. But what I listed held me the most. I feel almost 100% back to normal! I’ll make a video is all things I’ve done that helped (and didn’t)!
@@RileySorensen I've injured my back lifting numerous times (always deadlifting or squatting). When you have a herniated or bulging disc, you have it for life. However, my flair up last year was the worst. My back would give out on me almost every 2 months. I waisted so much time on doctor visits. Everything from chiropractors to spine surgeons to physical therapists. It wasn't until I found Dr. Stuart McGill and his book "Back Mechanic" did I begin to finally after years of lower back pain see relief. I never opted for an injection because I never wanted to mask the pain. I wanted to know and feel the pain so it would help me understand what I was doing to cause it. In my 20s and 30s when I would injury my lower back it would take only a couple of weeks to recover. Now that I am 40 I can tell you it takes much longer. For this reason I have stopped barbell squats and deadlifts. I do other safer and frankly efficient lower back and core exercises. The McGill Big 3 have been a lifesaver for me. His book truly saved my life when everyone else failed me in the medical field. Be careful and try not to get anymore injections as it can be a road to surgery due to it weakening the surrounding tissues.
That is great advice, I am happy to hear you found things that are working for you. I’ll have to look into all that. And I will definitely be very careful from here on out. Thanks!

Great video! Thanks for breaking it all down. I appreciate it. I just liked amd subscribed. I'm looking for more info on the Teeter inversion and will keep an eye out here. Cheers
I'm 80 now ...been using my Teeter for 6 years now I've had back problems since I was 44 and actually hired a table for a week 😮 Now I use mine about 10 mins a day a couple times a day I do various moves stretching all my body and also I do ISOMETRIC EXERCISES whilst inverted It works for me I feel stronger and confident. That photo of me was at about 74 year's of age. Not much different looking now But more wrinkles 😂😂 Teeter. Great tables and I feel good knowing I can do this sort of thing. And hopefully keep using it for many more years 🙂🙂😎😎
To unlock the ankles… as in his video.. Push the handle toward your legs to release the tension, then press the button down with heal of your hand. And wear ankle padded snow boot or Uggs to slide out if you get stuck as well. Also, don’t lock your ankles tight.
I just finished putting mine together, nobody home now so tried inverting to like 60 degrees (phone in my pocket just incase, LOL) but have to learn to really do it, was hard to move back, so next time will have a spotter, I am 5,3 216 pounds, instructions says something about being overweight and not using it but only found out after already got it, I have not seen any videos of any overweight person using it so will find out if it can help me stretch, got back and waist sprained at work and when what doctor gave me does not work with the immobilizing pain, bought this one, would see if PT approves and WC insurance may pay for it; $431.00 at Amazon currently. Got some back pain by using it that one time for few seconds, maybe because the effort I made to get myself in the straight position, so have to learn to control the movement effortless.
Someone gifted me a Harison inversion table, heavy duty, because my weight has skyrocketed due to my inability to exercise and be mobile from my hernia and another bulging disk. I just got it 2 days ago and have been easing into it at just 20 degrees for a minute or two, several times a day. I already feel lighter and more mobile. I am not dragging my feet as much. This thing might save my life.
Good stuff.I will tell you that I bought a cheap one on Amazon innova brand for $124. But it's solid and there's nothing really cheap at all about it. I'm a 200 lb man and it holds 300 lbs. Everything locks into place very solidly and it doesn't wobble. I believe maybe you're making money trying to help to sell teeters. Seems like a lot of expensive add-ons too when you can just put a pillow behind your neck or something.
@@RileySorensen My doctor says its years of activities I love to do: lifting, brazilian jiu jitsu, judo and cycling. At 48, I recently had a bout of severe back pain from just carrying a 25 lbs back pack and walking all day.
I have an herniated L5. It is extremely painful at times. I also have disc degeneration which only makes it worse. This is the device that I need. Thank you for the very nicely done video with instructions, opinions and tips. I will be going for the LX9 model though. I figure if I'm going to do it I may as well go for the gold. bro, u gotta get the vibration body pad + neck heat pad to go with your neck compressor. got my Teeter at the beginning of the pandemic. Two years later, 85% sciatica gone! life-changing impact. and if I had to choose one option ... definitely vibration body pad. /bklyn 👑
I love mine I have 3 herniated disk for the last 20 years my DR want to do surgery and I don’t want , the cortisol shot didn’t help also , the only issue is I have pain in my ankle all day after used the inversion table
Hmm that’s a bummer. I have a video coming out soon to talk about everything else I am doing to help with my pain, this is definitely not the only thing that helps me
Teeter saved me from surgery L4-L5. I am 74, retired Physical Therapist Assistant. Surgery was scheduled. I got the table began to get immediate relief. I feel so good I forget to use it. I try to use it everyday for therapietic maintenance. ❤❤❤❤
I got inversion table two days ago , i srated using it on angle 25 degree for only like 3 minutes then i felt Nauseous and dizzy since that momment until now ! Why this happened to me!!
I often sit at a computer desk for too long and I also found out that some autistic people feel better if they hang upside down (Apparently it helps the vestibular system). I am now getting an X3 in a few days and I'm going to see if it helps with both issues.
After 4 months, it definitely helps. During strong pollen season, autistic people get fatigue from the pollen, but the inversion table somehow helps to suppress that. I'm getting the neck attachment soon.
@@jimmymcgill5572 it was a cortisol shot. It lasts for about 3 months. It helped a lot, but it doesn’t heal anything. It greatly helped with the pain. And while you are out of the pain you are able to move around (carefully) which can help your back heal a bit more.
Have another table and it saved my life I was really down couldnt eat my bowel movemnet didnt work Horror Doctors said iam ok etc imagine Table saved me
I got the version that is $200 less and as far as I can tell, you only get the handles at your hips and different ankle lock handle. Not worth that much more in my opinion. Great products tho.
Is there a way to get out of this device if the ankle system is to get stuck? I bought the lx9 and got it about a week ago, and on my fourth time using it, the ankle system would not unlock, I was locked to the the device for about half an hour and could not get out, after countless times pressing the button with all my might trying to release the lock it finally released, I almost fainted due to being ina weird position and pressure on my ankles, and almost injured my back even more, I have searched all over to see if there is some other way to unlock the ankle lock if it were to malfunction and haven't seen anything, I've even reach out to teeter about it and no response. While I'm sure this equipment can help back issues, I disagree that the ankle lock is safe and designed well, if I knew there was not another way to unlock this I would have never purchased sad to say
@@RileySorensen thank u for your reply, I did this , but I think the locking system itself was faulty when I received. I hope they can make another way out of this thing .
I've had the original teeter for about 20 years now. It has the little spring loaded knob that you pull. Very simple and works fine. But if you're trying to stretch your back it makes no sense to me that you have to bend down to pull the knob to release the pin. Almost as soon as i got mine I attached a cord to the knob. The other end is attached to the handles on the side. When I'm done I just pull on the rope to pull up on the pin and disengage the ankle locking mechanism.
Good question, I do it for 2-3 minutes a few times a day if possible. I’ve been a little inconsistent overall, but when I feel my back getting bad again I will start using it more. It definitely seems to help.

It helps keep your spine decompressed and can help with reabsorbing the nutrients around. This can be done other ways too, like hanging from a bar, holding your self up on the side of a counter for a minute or two.
Why does he sound like a politician lol u know when u get that feeling and see the exact full make and model in the title that this is likely a sales pitch. Please tell ur not gaining financially from the review or getting any sponsors etc because my instinct tells me otherwise.
I can see why you might think that haha but no I’m not getting paid nor sponsored in anyway. I bought this with my own money and research so I wanted to share it.
First con I see right off the bat… your plastic table, is already weakening around all of the attachment points. This is one of the biggest problems I see in their reviews. Cheap thin plastic. Hard pass.

Very helpful info. I think Ill be getting this version. May I ask how you got a herniated disc? I had the worst experience as well about a month ago.
Yeah, it was from lifting. Bad form on the last rep or two. Learned my lesson. What caused yours?
@@RileySorensen My doctor says its years of activities I love to do: lifting, brazilian jiu jitsu, judo and cycling. At 48, I recently had a bout of severe back pain from just carrying a 25 lbs back pack and walking all day.
Worst feeling ever.
@@andyapsay8220how are you now? I’m 3 months in and it’s so bad
it will stop hurting slowly on its own,no bending lifting , let someone else carry water in house
Wonder if you’ve tried the newer version where you lean your front half over facing forward? No hanging from your feet.
LOL
Again, thank you and I hope you recover fully because you are young and have a full life yet to live.
bro, u gotta get the vibration body pad + neck heat pad to go with your neck compressor.
got my Teeter at the beginning of the pandemic. Two years later, 85% sciatica gone! life-changing impact.
and if I had to choose one option ... definitely vibration body pad.
/bklyn 👑
I’ll give that a go, thanks for the recommendation!
Did you ever do the video on all the things you bought for your herniated disc? Not seeing it.
Inversion + a round of Prednisone just quashed my every other year flare
What did you do to get 2 herniated disc? You’re slim & in shape. Just curious what u did. I have inversion table & use often. There good
Lifting weights! I got more focused on finishing the reps than listening to my body. I felt a pop and was out for a long time.
What shots in back did you get and how long did they last
@@jimmymcgill5572 it was a cortisol shot. It lasts for about 3 months. It helped a lot, but it doesn’t heal anything. It greatly helped with the pain. And while you are out of the pain you are able to move around (carefully) which can help your back heal a bit more.
Dude thanks for doing this
Glad it helped! I am making my follow up videos for this now!
This really works..I have one...
Have another table and it saved my life
I was really down couldnt eat my bowel movemnet didnt work
Horror
Doctors said iam ok etc imagine
Table saved me
I got the version that is $200 less and as far as I can tell, you only get the handles at your hips and different ankle lock handle. Not worth that much more in my opinion. Great products tho.
I have only had a cheap one from Amazon.. and it's awesome.
Are the hinges you move for storage and to remove from storage mode metal or plastic?
They are metal
Sorry to hear that happened to you! Yes this is best to get out, check out this part of my video 04:19
@@RileySorensen thank u for your reply, I did this , but I think the locking system itself was faulty when I received. I hope they can make another way out of this thing .
I leave mine loose enough that I can get in & out by turning my feet to the side.
@@map7463I have this version as well. Was thinking the same thing 😂. Great idea!
Could the inversion table pull apart your knees long term?
in theory but I’ve never had any issues
For how long brother I do for 5 mins what do you do now ?
Good question, I do it for 2-3 minutes a few times a day if possible. I’ve been a little inconsistent overall, but when I feel my back getting bad again I will start using it more. It definitely seems to help.
Does this 'Help with 'Retrolisthesis, which i have ? Apparently my MRI shows my Disk moved Foward 2 mm after a Fall or Degenerative Disc...Am 62 year old Male , Lean, 165 wt..in Good Shape and have Lumbar Bulging disc on my L -4 L - 5 Sl & Bulging on my Cervical/ Neck ? 👤
Retrolysthesis just means the vertebra is moving forward, and yes, it can be helpful to hang upside down. I have a retroflexed dens which is where C2 impinges upon the spinal cord, and hanging upside down feels very good. Go to the Centeno Schulz Clinic if you need your ligaments and discs fixed. I’ve had to have stem cell surgery because of the parachute accident I had in the Army. I have 13 herniated discs in my spine-from C1 to T5 and L5/S-1.
@@toscadonna Tosca , what can they do for me & were are they located ? Can they put my 'Disc back in Place..I also have 2 Incedental 'Labrum Tears on both sides of my Hip a M R I ,Showed. @@toscadonna oh my that is awful I am in canada and seriously considering purchasing the inversion table how long did it take for you to feel better
Have you tried a reverse hyper?
do you have a mri scan from after using the inversion table?
I don’t but I don’t have back pain nearly as often. I have more tips and tricks I’ve learned that I will share here soon!
@@RileySorensen why not get one, it will scientifically confirm your progress?
Yes that's true @@king0vdarkness
@Riley Sorensen Thanks for the review. Straight to the point & solid definitely helped make my decision 👍🏽👍🏽
Innova makes a damn good one too. Many say they are better than Teeter.
good to know!
Which one would you suggest Wagon?
Nice
Thanks
Long term benefits ?
It helps keep your spine decompressed and can help with reabsorbing the nutrients around. This can be done other ways too, like hanging from a bar, holding your self up on the side of a counter for a minute or two.
How are doing now do you use it everyday ? And if your pain has gone why not geta new mri too see if it has actually changed something@@RileySorensen
I have been told about something better than Cortisone. Its called Sinvix. Its a shot for joints, knees, etc.
How much cost for this
How do you only have 882 subs well 883 now
How much does it weight
@ 70 lbs.
how hard to assemble?
No it was easy to assemble!
The LX9 has a better frame....Well worth the extra $70
Teeter is not better but 3x more money.
What would you suggest instead?
Why does he sound like a politician lol u know when u get that feeling and see the exact full make and model in the title that this is likely a sales pitch. Please tell ur not gaining financially from the review or getting any sponsors etc because my instinct tells me otherwise.
I can see why you might think that haha but no I’m not getting paid nor sponsored in anyway. I bought this with my own money and research so I wanted to share it.
First con I see right off the bat… your plastic table, is already weakening around all of the attachment points. This is one of the biggest problems I see in their reviews. Cheap thin plastic. Hard pass.
Saved me thousands on chiropractor adjustments. Had mine 3 years I’m 6ft 4in 250lbs. If it’s cheap and nasty then I’ve not witnessed it
I heard tha tu should back off the twist in the back while upside down, that that could cause nasty tension. true or false?
Hang by 1 leg to get a deep hip stretch and the occasional hip pop. Inversion tables are a great investment.
Idk why I detect lying in his voice. This man is a paid salesman!
Haha I paid with it all with my own money, no affiliation or marketing, buy or don’t I don’t care:)
@@RileySorensen you are a salesman! You probably just want people upside down so their money falls out of their pockets!
Not for 500 bucks I got 1 at sames club for 179.99 and that is great works perfectly fine to me
