Get ready for an in-depth preview of the 2024 F1 Canadian Grand Prix! This race is set to be one of the most unpredictable yet, with Red Bull facing unexpected challenges with their RB20 car, particularly on the tricky Montreal track known for its hybrid street circuit characteristics. The team has been struggling with curb handling, a problem that's persisted since the RB18, and it's proving tough to fix. Meanwhile, Ferrari and McLaren are closing the gap fast. Ferrari has been benefiting from shared parts, steadily improving their performance, and McLaren is making significant progress, leading to a more competitive top tier.
Mercedes is also in the mix, emerging as the fourth fastest team with steady improvements to their W15 car. While they might not be competing for victories just yet, Lewis Hamilton is aiming for a strong finish in Montreal, the track where he secured his first win. The driver dynamics at Red Bull are heating up with Yuki Tsunoda's position uncertain due to the team's preference for experienced drivers like Sergio Pérez, who brings significant sponsorship, and the ever-popular Daniel Ricciardo, whose performance continues to be a key factor.
Our bold predictions for the Canadian Grand Prix reveal potential surprises, with Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri poised to challenge for podium positions, depending on race conditions and car performance. Will Red Bull overcome their technical issues? Can Ferrari and McLaren maintain their momentum? How will Mercedes fare in this crucial race? Hardest working man I’ve ever seen
All this Yapping on the top of a ladder is very well thought out, and the volume you release it all at? Insane
Boy is working at height constantly ….should we notify HSE ?
Nobody praises me when I climb up the attic to talk to myself.
You do know the volume on UA-cam is adjustable, You can listen to all videos at various ranges of volume, Are you struggling to hear some content creators??, You can turn the volume up, If someone is too loud you can turn the volume down.

This aged great with Checo just getting resigned🤣
Yuki deserves more respect from red bull imo. He's clearly very talented with the way he's been pushing that RB. They better realize what they have before he dips.
Yuki and Liam are being hard done by. As far as RBR are concerned, Yuki is more useful as spearheading the billboard team.
@@LawVS yeah well... Yukis contract ends this season so they may want to start considering if possibly losing him is worth it. Liam is a good talent but I don't think he's been able to prove it in several races like Yuki has. A few teams are gonna have an eye on him and idk if head driver of the development team is gonna be enough to keep him around. Guess we'll see though I could be completely off base 😂
They only have Yuki because of Honda. IMO Daniel’s career is almost over. He doesn’t have it
@@RedHaloManiac95 oh I know but I think they're wrong for doing so. He has a lot of potential and is already seemingly a pretty good driver. Daniel is on the way out tho yeah
@@TheSickGman09 now that he has been signed, I wonder if he went for RB because of lack of options or if it was a case of it being the best he can get?
Wow, I just got to the part of your last video where you said "stay tuned for my predictions video tomorrow" and you upload this. Awesome
Closed captioning intrepeted "Racing Bulls" as "Racing Balls". Spot on. LOL.
I NEED TO SEE A PEREZ STAYING UNTIL 2026 VIDEO LMAO
Rumors has it, the squeaky noise from the “latter” is an add on sound. #lattergate 😂 love the content.

@@THExAndrewxO - I think his tire wear skill isn't there just yet. He's on the right track for pace, and his tire wear is improving but he needs a little more in his tire wear sense.

Meh his Gohan impression is better
That was marvelous.
Probably quicker than Ricciardo on any racing circuit

Damn this dude benefited from that thumbnail with checo’s 2 year extension
I had a feeling something was gonna happen.
McLaren probably has the best car right now. If Norris can hold back his mistakes and nail qualifying, He is in for a shot.
The local forecast calls for 70% chance of rain on Saturday and rain for Sunday. It should make things even more interesting...
the top 5 fixed for the whole year
Max , Lando , Piastri , Charles and Sainz

Have you gotten a call from Alpine to drive for the next year yet?
They're not THAT desperate!

Me watching this as the news drops checo is signing through 2026.
The power of merch sales.
The cool spot got a lot bigger now
I realised the spot was cool but small.
I would predict Max to win but now imma say either RedBull, Ferrari, or Mclaren will win
So one of the top six cars will win. Good god, if you're right it will make you a genius!! 😂😂😂
Anyone from the top 20 can win tbh
Lisan al gahib!!!!!
Very probable it’s going to be a Mclaren or Ferrari
Piastri 💯
Great video, instant subscribe
im actually surprised that peolpe just see the amount of money that checo brings. its not only north america, but also latin america. There is a lot of support for checo on spanish speaking countries.
So excited for my home race! Had I known at the beginning of the season that teams other than red bull would have been in contention for the podium, I would have gotten myself a ticket, but oh well. I guess I'll have to bring my ladder if I want to catch a glimpse.
As always, banger content from your end. Keep it coming!
Czech just got a 2 year contract with Redbull. LETS GO CHECO‼️
Where are all the people who said this year was a race for second place and it would be boring like last year?
Then Red Bull gets a one, two in Canada and this season is back to normal!
I'm pretty sure it's not related, but it's kinda crazy how RB stopped being dominant ever since the Newey announcement dropped. 😅
That's just the car sulking.
Agree. There’s no way it’s a coincidence, I think it’s clear as day he’s very much on the back burner for car development.
Can we all agree this man offers the best F1 content on UA-cam right now!
I like Red Bull but i am extremely disapointed with their driver choices.
Checo should not stay in RB, they should get Sainz or promote Yuki.
And for VCARB they have 2 hot candidates: Liam and Hadjar. If Hadjar keeps this form in F2 he will win it. Then what ? He should have a seat.
Makes no sense them keeping Riccardo. He's not going to improve.
My guess is that even in these teams they need the money Checo and Ric bring.
Not sure I would call Isack Hadjar a hot candidate. Sure halfway through he is P2 in the championship but he finished 14th in his first year in F2 the difference between him and say Antonelli at this point is wins in the feature race in Melbourne and Imola. Granted he has had car issues as well to be fair. Yuki has only just started to show signs of being potentially good in decent machinery. Sainz, Ricciardo, and Perez are known quantities and race winners albeit that when Carlos partnered Max back in the day Max ran right over the top of him.
The group is playing WAY too safe.
@@LawVS What about Yuki to Alpine until Honda is at Aston Martin? It wouldn't surprise me.
@@y_fam_goeglydRacing Bulls vs Alpine, Racing Bulls is the better performing team. So why would Yuki want to move?
@@LawVS RBR teasing some announcement at 17:00 BST as of 2 hours or so ago. Has to be a contract extension for Perez surely.
Ferrari and McLaren showing why they're still around. Most teams get at least one moment of glory, but these two are always in the conversation. Both of them have had periods of agony but they always come back.
At last after the torture of 2022 and 2023, we have a 3 way championship.
Hell last time that happened was way back in 2012.
Weather Network says its going to be a wet race. 10 mm Saturday and 5 mm Sunday. Chances at this point 80 and 70 %
@@RaceBanner_ You are aware the race is in Montréal....... Canada.
Last I read on the William's website, the upgrades for Canada are only for Alex, Logan will be running the old specs.
I'm on a roll here with watching the last 3 on a sub 500 views love ur channel
So Checo is Max sugar daddy? thats why they always mention Max love for Checo in the teammate discussion?
Well the mis timing, Checo just signed a two year contract
I wasnt expecting an episode that both praised Yuki, but also made the point that F1 is more about money now than it's ever been. Profits over everything is the F1 way
checo just signed 2 year contract
If it rains this weekend during the qualy or race, it’ll be a big save for Redbull cause everyone will be avoiding the curbs. They wouldn’t have to worry about that disadvantage.
There is forecast for a chance of rain all weekend I just hope we don't get 2021 Belgium
Also means they can't use their DRS advantage
The track at Montreal is open to public use, but it's a road that doesn't really go anywhere, so it's not likely to be bumpy if it's been resurfaced. It's also not built on marshland, but it is an artificial island that was built with the ground that was escavated to build the subway system in the mid-60s.
However if it rains, it's going to be oily. No one really uses that road (it has a ridiculously low speed limit and it's used as a bike track during the summer) so it won't really have been scrubbed by traffic to any extent. By the looks of it, it will be very tricky to keep the cars behaving in the rain on Friday.
George isn't as popular as he used to be.
Ok... is the RB20 worse than the RB19 OR are the McLaren and Ferrari just way better then their version of 2023? 🤔
Statistically, it is.
Kinda both? Seems like the RB19 was the peak of the performance bell curve and with McLaren and Ferrari approaching their own bell curve peaks, Red Bull had to continue pushing forward. Which seems to mean they're starting to find more and more quirks that take away from overall performance. Especially over the kerbs.
The RB20 is faster than the RB19, so no it's not worse than the 19, it's better. However in relative performance terms, if you compare it to the field not its predecessor, then yes it is worse.
Nah, Mclaren and Ferrari just improved
@@motornaut it's less stable though. Max could fly on every track last year. This year he's faster but only on some tracks, so far.
I, as a younger fan, attended this race as my first in-person f1 race. While the rain was not fun, and the crowd management was ABYSMAL compsred to what I'm used to in american motorsports like the Indy 500 (which is a larger crowd) - the race itself, practice, and quali, were AMAZING, and I think a contender for one of the best races, if not the best, all year.
Sergio got 2year contact
Guess I was right in a way
Oscar for a podium, not just because I'm Australian but because the Red Bull hates curbs. Checo showed us the reality in Monaco, Max made up for some of it, but I don't see the car getting him onto the podium
MB will lose some fans due to LH departure, but will certainly gain others with the "new guy". What is crucial, is how this is managed, curated and developped in connection to its rebuilding of its technical force for R&D and aero developpment. Just as Mclaren has done recently. The cycle turns and turns, as it has since the beginning. The circus is the content creators who are now spending much of their time unraveling their knickers knotted up by their unfounded and incessant ranting and speculation. This is what I love about this channel and another I follow, the level headed unbiased content.
I think if Yuki puts in another year like this next year he'll be a proven quantity for sure and there'll be potential big move, but I don't think the top teams rate him that highly just yet.
I love how my 3rd rung name is censored by the unholy attic key light haha.
Maybe you're not counting these since they are TFS, but the DBZA video's are definitely the most successful video's you have ever made.
Perez staying at Red Bull btw
Williams might be post poned again? Checo signs a 2 year contract
Amazing
The arches of this man's feet are the real MVP
Stroll for the win…or an awesome crash….blaming his fitness trainer’s dog!
With the Ocon situation
Think with everything we know now, I dont see Ocon securing another seat. In terms of WHO REPLACES OCON? I think Yuki Tsnuoda!
Hear me about. In terms of Tsnuoda and Ricciardo, Ricciardo got more of the marketing material and Red Bull are waiting to put Liam Lawson in a seat next year. Perez is confirmed for next season staying at Red Bull and rumours are we expect a announcement soon on Ricciardo staying for another year at VCARB.
In terms of Sainz, with red bull closed, HE NEEDS TO SIGN FOR AUDI. Otherwise who knows, Ocon may be given the offer to pair up with Hulkenburg at this rate.
Well checo got two year contract
Liked the Danny Ric impression 😂
2 more years for Checo!!! Vamos Checo!
Bruh, that Ricciardo impression is on point! 😂
I agree with your top 5 Law! Only my Ferrari bias is rooting for Charles taking the P1 instead of Lando😂
13:20 What Editing program is that you use? is it Vegas? what version if yes?
Premiere Pro.
Checo just signed a 2 year contract!
Perez renewed his contract
Have you ever fallen off of the ladder?
I've missed a step a few times carrying stuff down the ladder.
So I had an Epiphany as soon as you mentioned how mclaren doesn't like that Ferrari and mercedes have the satellite teams in Haas and Williams, If Andretti get into f1, with the friendship and close business ties in United autosports they could be allies in a sense and be Mclarens possible feeling out process for gm engine deal in the future
Yeah, watching Red Bull and This is a Cool Spot Here Blues Balls Visa Mastercard Cash App RB stating the course is definitely weird. They never did that before, but with everything going on behind the scenes with power struggles, I'm guessing keeping things on track a constant is best for many people. But, they will likely lose Lawson to another team.
I just wouldn’t overhype the race just yet. Cautious optimism is the way to go. But yeah, I am hoping for a banger.
I genuinely think Yuki's Honda connections are the reason Horner is stuffing him
Great video keep it up you're doing amazing things in my opinion max win and Ferrari double podium with Carlo just beating Charles to 2nd
The irony of RedBull having a suspension issue is ironic seeing Newey designed the suspension himself!
I still think Lewis is laying down on Mercedes. He certainly is playing games. Either that or he has lost it.
Lando, Oscar, Charles, Max, Sainz, Lewis and George all potentially in the hunt here...
...should be a totally different race from Monaco
Now that redbull is saying that they have a bumps weakness even in last year, some things sound different. Like Toto accusing redbull of lying about purposing and he knows because of insider info. I thought it was just Toto whining in the past, but now that has a different taste.
My hope is that tsunoda leaves RB, even thought he said he is loyal. Objektivly speaking it would be the best choice. A new chance to prove himself for Tsunoda and his feedback "talent" that all midfield teams need right now.
yeah or he does not get a seat and ends up out of F1 lmfao
@@notastone4832 when that happens, honda will make them aston 3rd driver. They already publicly announced they are willing to get involved so a Japanese driver stays in F1.
"The RB20 is worse than the RB19" Is it though? Like is it actually slower, or is it just that the other teams have caught up to RB?
Max and Carlos will be motivated this race. Checo will Checo in to a barrier. Would love to see Oscar get his first podium this weekend. It has been a good season so far.
He was on the podium in Monaco...
I meant to say race win. My appolgies.
@@MahF1V10 That's OK. No worries. :)
I know sometimes that's how F1 works and money is so important in this sport, but if Red Bull takes sponsor money over constructor champions, that's very sad and boring thing.
Checo must’ve been kept at red bull as a shield for max. Defending where and when he can so max can carry it home. Lets be honest, it was never gonna be Ocon 😂
I wanna add an extra layer on to the second redbull seat. They want a happy wing man driver. They don't want someone that will whine about max getting priority. Checo's, mistake was thinking that he could ever have a fair shot at the championship. I believe this is why Horner protects Riccardo. Danny Ric would be a perfect 2nd driver in the main team because he would bring in money and he would be a happy wingman. They also need the results in the race which is why i believe everyone is just staying in place for 1 more year to see how things go. TSU wont make it in the main team because he will clash with max too much.
That's a fair point. You hear Checo's talk of title challenges come up far less frequently this year compared to last year. He knows he can't and being close to Max will be good enough...I mean, we would ALL love to be almost as good as Verstappen, right?
@@LawVS your spot on. Max is a machine no doubt but its also expected of him because of the big bucks they pay him. So it wouldn't make sense for Redbull to have someone in the second seat throwing him off. But they also want some one who can bring in money to offset max. I think at least whilst max is there this wont change and if your one of the drivers hoping to make it to the main team you'll have to be content with being a wing man and nothing more which for most drivers is a problem because they are bred to be winners from a young age. However Redbull arnt going to say that upfront to a driver that they want to lure in are they now? So i think with checo they were stringing him along last year hence all the talk about the championship contention but the reality would of sunk in which is why i believe he had such a mental slump for a while. I don't think any of them would take it that well to be honest.
Dany Ric is Checo's replacement because he fits what redbull needs at least for now. They know he can be competitive in the car but thats not the main goal. I feel for Tsunoda because he is having such a good year but again they wont look at him whilst max is there. But theres no place for Tsunoda to go currently thats any better.
Appreciate the hair cut lawvs
It's interesting how Newey announcing his departure has imemdiately followed by a Red Bull stumble.
always posting right before an announcement
I’m hoping one of the teams gambles on a rain setup even if quali is dry. Load some extra downforce and pray to the rain gods.
redbull just announced a 2 year deal for checo
That massive straight + a draggy McLaren. No chance, unfortunately. :(
Well seeing as how Ferrari failed in qualifying to make Q3, and how George and Max are 0.000 apart on the front row, I hope it rains and gives us all a helluva show where nobody knows who's going to come out in front.
Of course, I root for Ferrari so I'd like to see them come from 10th to the front, but realistically that aint much of a shot.
This is one video where I feared Dr. Marko plowing into the garage in his Lada & taking the ladder OUT. Liam out of RB? Max 3rd? “Blasphemisch!” And yes, his daily driver is surely a Lada.
help LawVS im stuck at the bottom of the ladder, do you mind letting me up?
Shoutouts to you pronouncing Auto, Motor und Sport correctly in German
LawVS love your work why I haven't subscribed is any guess so I'm going to do that just now after I write this comment. Usually when I comment on your videos like this I go on a big lecture of what I think about mostly about Ferrari. I'm biased I know. Anyway I'm not going to do that this time I'm going to keep it simple and ask you a question.
If I were to ask you right now who would you put your money on to win both the drivers and constructors championship? I know it's a hard thing to do and sort of suggest I mean me personally I would be willing to put money on Ferrari winning the constructors the drivers though I'm up in the air about.
I have heard there is a high chance of rain for Canada, maybe Hamilton shows up, but verstappen is also great in the wet .
More Piastri slander. With his recent performances he's on for a top 3 in quali and finish, provided McLaren can beat out the other two with their setup.
I'm an Oscar stan and I would LOVE to predict him winning this race, but I need to be realistic and whilst Oscar is EASILY championship material, he's got some stuff to learn still in terms of race management. But next year...different game.
I expect Max to do better than Monaco. Hope to atleast see them battle.
Always looking forward to Canada GP.
He can overtake here. That's already a plus.
Tell me my new totally original opinion, Ladda Yappa
I would be surprised to see both Yuki and Daniel next year. Christian loves Daniel and he will stay regardless, but not having Lawson next year seems strange (did he do something to upset RB?).
Yuki needs to find a new home if not RB while he waits for the Aston Martin seat to open up with Honda Engine.
Lawson isnt the funny smiling guy from DTS. Thats what hes done wrong
Personally think Checo is toast. His performances are poor, and with the grid converging those poor performances will cost RB another constructors title.
😂😂 you only watch F1 news in English from Great Britain?
That explains your f l a t, simplistic, monochromatic opinion: you follow the mainstream Woking/Milton Keynes media and IGNORE what is behind this artificial 'form slump'..
