Great review! Very useful to know this an option for NYC. Maz is a great addition to the team loving her energy!
I flew Norse from JFK to Gatwick last year, premium section. VERY impressed! Will be flying them again from Gatwick to JFK this July, premium again. The leg room in premium is massive.
I work for Norse Atlantic and im glad you enjoyed it!! ❤️
Hi I just have a quick question for u if u are able to answer it. Im looking to book with Norse and I was curious if I have to pay for meals and a carry-on? Also how do I know if I have access to the overhead bins on a Norse flight because there is a little warning on the first flight saying it may not include access to the overhead compartment?
@@yazzy9490 I dont work for them. But if you order the economy classic(which is the middle option before premium) you get a carry on and 1 meal for free for the whole ride. If you order both ways you got the same stuff for free.
@@martinolsen007I hope the carry on is free for the whole ride, I wouldn’t want it to be thrown out in the air
So do the 'influencers'
Seriously, seats look very small . Of course if you have the whole row to yourself and the plane is empty it looks spacious
I flew premium with Norse to LA in November and it was exceptional - I'm 6'4" and I could pretty much do the can-can in my seat, so it's not just good for people who are 5'2"!
The crew were fantastic and you can get free booze in premium, which is always fun when you're on holiday. After having had a couple of wines, the FA asked me if I wanted to finish the bottle, as it needed emptying otherwise it would go to waste, so it's not just with the cutlery where they think about that kind of thing.
Something to note though is the entertainment selection - it's pretty limited. Best to check out what's available before you go to see if there's stuff you want to watch. I had some Netflix shows to catch up on, so I was fine, but it could've been a long old time had I not downloaded them onto my tablet. Oh, and downloading is essential - unlike Norwegian, who I think were the first low-cost carrier to offer free Wi-Fi - Norse don't have any available on their planes at present.
Now that's my kind of FA !
Iiiiii
As a Norwegian Norse fan, i am happy you liked it. I bought our first Norse flight tickets just a few hours after they opened their home page, and went on their 5th flight, June 18, 2022, to Fort Lauderdale. That was in Economy, but since then i have only been flying Premium with them. Today i flew in premium with another carrier for the first time in my life. It was with Scoot, on their 787-9 from Bali to Singapore. The seats where OK, but the armrests where totaly worn out. and the seatback was to low, and i am only 175cm. I have newer seen a so worn out interior. The curtains to the galley where so dirty they where discusting. The amount of food we got was for children, wery little. The pre departure drink was 1,5 dl of water, and with the food we ordered a 2,5 dl can of Coke zero. They have no onbord entertainment, but Wifi is included in Premium and at an ekstra cost in Eco. How ever it tok realy long time to find out how to conect to wifi and the wifi was realy slow.
We are on a South East asian roundtrip, 10 contries, 15 flights with 11 airlines and this was our 10th flight with the 7th airline, and i must say the cleanlines of Scoot is a little bit under Biman Bangladesh, but Biman had much better food service in Economy than Scoot in Premium. Our last flight on this roundtrip will be with Norse from Bangkok to Oslo in 16 days. I am realy looking forward to that experience.
How was norse to oslo?
They should hire these two to do a commercial for the airline! You don't puff up the plane but talk to everyone like they are going on the trip too. I love this. Wish there were longer videos for these trips. You really feel like you're on the trip.
The loos in Prem were so clean!!
@fackafackaYes. Because a Baby crying on a flight is the perfect advert and representation of the airline 🙃
Flew to New York in August on American Airlines. The worst seven hours of my life. Looking at what Norse have to offer in Ecomony, I may well consider them for my future travels to JFK. Maz is a great addition to the team guys 👍
So good to have Maz on the team. Fresh and new and a great personality!
Absolutely agree about Norse's Premium Seats feeling like business class, I had the exact same reaction when I flew on Norse. Especially if you fly a lot in the USA you very regularly get the throne style business class seat.
Will definitively fly with Norse again, i just wish they would operate from more European airports.
As a Norwegian where Norse also has a hub, I must say that our British Norse brothers did excellent.
How is single use wooden cutlery more sustainable than metal cutlery that can be used literally for 100 years ? 🤦
There’s got to be a little weight saving I suppose, which will save a bit on fuel
Most low cost airlines will use plastic rather than metal cutlery. Also many wooden cutlery will be made of wood that is recycled or from trees that can be easily cut regrown quickly.
I mean, yeah, if the metal gets used for 100 years then sure. But wood is almost always the best choice for the environment.
Yeah the production of those biodegradable wooden spoons and their recycling is more harmful to the environment than metal cutlery
Getting clean silverware in and out of every flight is another time and cost investment most airlines won't do for economy
Good, Liam is back! Meanwhile, nice review.
That "remove before flight" tag in your backpack is a sign of true aviation geek, Liam! Had one attached to mine as well
Never heard of Norse before! Great review showing the difference between the two levels of service (just missing the cost 😊) Maz is great ! Sign her up Norse for TV advertising 👍
Very good video but no prices given. I did a random search and Economy/PE were $650 / $1400 respectively (including checked bag). The Premium Economy looked more like the very old bucket seat Business 30 years ago i.e. a very good PE product (interesting that this PE comes with lounge access). All looked great but 11 mins call bell in Economy when the flight was half full was pretty poor. Norse are definitely a good option!
I paid 1050 for prem MCO to Gatwick.
@@user-ch9if6px6r Jolly good...that's Orlando...this video is New York. Prices will vary!
@@ukdavepianoman So should be a bit cheaper flying to NYC. It was worth a 1000 imo.
@@user-ch9if6px6r I don't know...would NY be cheaper than Orlando? Anyway 1050 for Prem is a very good deal. Did you enjoy it?
@@ukdavepianoman Very much as Delta has been making us go through JFK which adds on at least three more hours. This was non stop.
Not sure that wooden cutlery, plastic wrapped meals served in plastic tubs is more sustainable than silverware?
One thing people forget is the energy/water to wash dishes. I am not a super green person, but bio-degradable wood has its benefits.
for those who want flight info, £719 for economy inc 1 meal & 1 checked bag, premium, £1534 and you det 2 meals and 1 checked bag. cheaper on both if you go basic and take off luggage etc
Thank you for the info... Pretty useless video without this info... Obviously Premium is going to be better than Economy... but how much is the difference in price?... Thanks to you NOW we know...
Fares, however, are not the same for each day's flight. And even then fares can change for the same flight, until purchased. The best source of fare information is the actual airline website.
Return was around 420 economy london to lax
My friend and his wife just took off from Orlando to Gatwick and when he told me they were on Norse, I had to look and see what this was all about since I normally fly American, British, Emirates or Qatar.... I am sure I could fly Premium and be comfortable enough for the 8 hour flight to London... Enjoyed this review, especially the beautiful Maz....
Guys I just wanted to say this review could have been so less impressive and amateur. But no, this review (the first video I have seen from this channel) was very professionally done. It wasn't just like a vlog it was like a proffessional channel who do this all the time. Let me just say I'd be running to the call bell if I see you on one of my flights 😂.
Awesome stuff guys thank you for a very proffessional review and keep posting :)))
Liam is back! So, obviously we need the 411 on the Pluffies.
Edit: Error 404 Pluffy Pillow not found unless it was the Maz Test
6:26 HDMI charging socket 💀💀😂😂😂 lmao
LMAO! Instead of "USB"
Yeah, but it's an old format for Economy class, so this is a VGA charging socket!!!
@@illiabudaiev836 It's actually SCART
@@illiabudaiev836 True
he says that quite often lol
I’m taking Norse on Monday. This is the perfect timing!
Hope your flight went well
How was your experience on Norse? Was it better than other airlines?
Thank you for the review. In future reviews, can you possibly show what your seat looks like when the person in front on you reclines their seat all the way. This usually ruins my flight, when the passenger in front of me reclines their seat all the way, into my space, even before we take off, and then when they are eating, or going to the bathroom, they leave their seat reclined all the way. I feel I also pay the same fee for my seat, so keeping other passengers in mind will be a great idea. So even though it is nice to see how far my seat reclines, it would be great to see how far the passenger in front of me reclines as well. Thanks for your awesome videos. Looking forward to the next one.
Thanks for sharing, with all that information I might try them out now I see clip of how they operate
Flew Norwegian from London to NYC many times and was bummed to see it go.
Thanks for the review of Norse - will consider it for the next ride.
Low cost but no prices given. I just did a random search for next December and BA was cheaper so it’s not a given that the low cost is the cheapest. Kind of defeats the object of a low cost airline.
FINALLY! Someone who gave a view of the Premium Economy bulkhead seats. Bravo!
I would think disposable wooden cutlery is less sustainable than metal ones. At the end of the day, its nothing compared to being on a flight.
I was at No1 Lounge at Gatwick on Monday. It was less busy and I loved it!!! They have CruzCampo on tap 🌈
I flew Norse Premium from Gatwick to SFO and unfortunately it was such an uncomfortable flight. The guy in front of me had his seat "generously reclined" all the way back the entire flight. There was no room for me to relax or to move.
Those seats have a big incline right?
I'm curious about Norse but I'm scared of their customer service and bag policy.
No need to be curious, we're just back from our hols and they're dreadful 👌
Thank you for sharing your flight here.😊
Yes, that was great both of you had no one seat next to you!!!😊 So nice!!! But I saw a baby girl behind the guy reviewer! Hmm!!! How long will there be kids noise right behind you!!!
That was a great review. I’m just found out about this airline today. I’m hoping to book up for Orlando flying in premium class. Thanks again. Loved it
Thanks guys. I'm about to book Norse LGW to Cape Town. Economy
We flew this from JFK-LGW in August and upgraded to PE at the airport for a fraction of the cost. The seats were fantastic and the staff were so friendly. From LGW-JFK we flew economy and still enjoyed it. We did prefer the PE seats. Staff still lovely and my kids were content with entertainment.
Y’all do a great job! Well done
You didn't say how much you paid. I just did a dummy booking comparing Norse with BA in March and found economy was more or less the same at £535 for both and Premium £1163 Norse, £689 BA. Difference is that there are no extra charges on board BA in economy, such as headphones, drinks, second meal etc. So BA is cheaper! on this simple test
Is the seat the same with BA?
That cant be possible. They literally offer flight for like 200 euro. I can fly from Paris to LA next month return for 300 euro exactly.
I tried the call bell challenge on KLM, the crew members were very nice but they responded to call bell 27 minutes after I pressed it
Flew Norse premium recently from LAX to London, was exceptional and a fraction of the cost of BA/VS
I loved my Norse premium experience, but there was no lounge at Gatwick included. It;s not clear if Maz paid separtely for it. Overall though I think it;s better than BA WTP!
It’s not free food in the lounge when you pay for the lounge is it 🤦♂️
it was free access though with the ticket I think.
@@rwrobwalker That's only with business class - you have to pay for the lounge with premium economy
@ Ah, did she pay for that herself? I’ve also paid to go in that very lounge before. It’s not a good one and gets very busy.
@@rwrobwalker Unless she has a priority pass - she would've had to, but she would have also have had to pay for the priority pass too so either way, paid something for the lounge - its definitely not free and you can see from the Norse website that lounge isn't part of the premium package. You can tell the lounge is not very good, it is chaos in there
I flew on their inaugural flight last year. It was honestly really good. The food was sub par. But for the price it’s not bad
Nicky taking advantage of his absence by giving the non-premium seat to Liam. #JusticeForLiam
Keep it going!! 😂
Excellent flight review, not just if Norse but one of the best flight reviews I’ve seen on UA-cam for any airline. Great that you compared 2 classes on the same aircraft and tested everything thoroughly. We flew Oslo to FLL a few years ago when most of these aircraft were owned by Norwegian. Worst flight ever!
Now if you can go do a review of KLM Amsterdam to Panama direct and compare that to this flight, that would be most helpful 👌 thanks! Oh, and subscribed! 👍
Looking forward to try this premium cabin soon. Don't really understand in what way it's more sustainable to have one time use wooden cutlery instead of silverware though? 🤔 Perhaps she is referring to the minute extra fuel burn due to the additional weight of real silverware... 🧐
Maz thought she was in business class when she saw a 2-3-2 layout....Must have thought she was on LH....I have to say, the food looks a lot better than what was offered on Norwegian, which ranged from bad to my dog wouldn't eat that.
We're just back from an 8hr flight and I can tell you a dog still wouldn't eat the muck they served. Found excuses not to serve hot drinks and even forgot to serve the 2nd of ONLY TWO free drinks on this long haul flight. Very dirty plane too. Never again.
Great video! Love being able to lay down!
Great content! Thanks for sharing 😊
As always well produced
I absolutely do not enjoy those auto windows, they don’t block out light fully and unfortunately the crew can dim lock them so we can’t take photos of outside.
Would you try Turkish Airlines?Economy,Business class, first class plssss 😢
I’ve found BA’s premium economy on the LGW-MCO route to be cheaper then Norse.
Norse shared this video on their FB story!!
I have been wanting to hear about this for a while. Debated trying out this product
I loved the prem and had three seats. The food was not that tasty but they gave me a G&T and sparkling wine so not complaining.
Guys i wanna u try Egypt air and these all classes and make a video comparison like ur videos..... Peace ✌️
Maz is so lovely!
I checked Norse Premium to New York in December… £1640 per person return… Virgin from Heathrow £683! I’ll stick with the mainstream airlines based on that. Their pricing is way off… such a shame
I agree with Maz I strongly dislike Gatwick Airport
An “honest” paid review 😂
I agree, I couldn’t quite make it to the very end because I eventually realized the advertisement was not a one or two minute segment in the video, but rather the entire video. Shame on them for being sellouts, and not warning their audience of the true nature of the advertisement. It was a little sickening that they could hardly find anything negative to say about the actual airline other than the headphones in economy.
Haaaa I said exactly the same. NORSE was so bad yesterday that we'll probably never go long haul again. Worst flights I've had in 45 years! 😮
sorry, but those nickle and dime services that charge you for everything are annoying, and i did a quick price check and the big carriers are not that much more.
How much was the tickets?
what was the price of both?
Before I watch....Norse check in at JFK was a faff but Premium to LGW was sublime :)
I wished they included the price of the ticket
I am having issues with the size of the backpack. Online, it says 5 in in drpth, and everything's I find is 8 in. What was the bag you used?
Liam: *as screen is buffering* “…wait for it…”
Also Liam: “Pretty damn quick!”
They are not cheap by the time you pay for bags food and other things I found both BA and air canada where cheaper.
Wow I think that is the longest I have seen them take on a call Bell challenge
Another airline reviewer did Norse Air recently he said Norse Air are being run by some of the same directors as the Norwegian Air had.
costs?
The extras you paid for helps the Airline to make a profit, nice. They use Dreamliners and are half full? maybe not making so much profit
5:52 Liam flexing his body roll skills lol
Nice video, norse is better than I thought!
I've flown with them several times from Norway and so far I've only had amazing experiences with them :) Have only flown Economy and I like it. I'm 181cm tall/low and have enough space. I do not want to try Premium Economy because I know I won't go back to Economy 🤣Here's a foot for scale 🦶
Your first instinct was right, their long haul flights are dreadful!!
"Absolutely rammed in the no 1 lounge" - looks at all the empty seats behind and in the footage.😅
4:50... Please 🙄.. as if you The Points Guys didn't know in advance how many travel classes there are on Norse 787. That part sounded like clumsy advertisement.
Flight prices ???
I really wish you would show prices
Should get Charlie Fleming as a presenter
The W spoons HALO cracked me up!
I think a PE comparison between airlines would be better. I’m a big Virgin PE fan and have used them for years between Miami and LHR. I’d be very surprised if Norse was better. I’m not big on single isle planes on international trips.
They’ve done a few PE comparisons before: JAL vs ANA, a 3-way comparison of AA, United & Delta, BA vs Virgin.
How much are the pre-ordered meals in economy?
EC261/2004 Regulation is useless because there's no time limit to payout compensation, so airlines take an eternity to make payments if they ever. There's online legal services ready to fight for you to get compensation for a fee...you shouldn't have to hire a third party service to get rightfully compensated for (ex: flight cancellation due to mechanical). European Commission created this regulation to show passengers that they have rights but seems it favors the airlines instead. Norse Atlantic Airlines does not even have phone contact and it doesn't responds to emails regarding compensation claims. Since Norse Atlantic Airlines is at liberty for not complying with European Laws, then it's operating license should be revoked...period! Also, Norse is giving the country NORWAY a bad image for their extremely poor conduct and being outlaws in the airline business...
IS the access to the Lounge included on Premium Economy?
What about price? Usually a big point in most of your comparisons.
A shout out from Copthorne, Liam
I honestly have no issue with ear plugs costing extra. Most people have their own plugs or headphones and the free ones are usually awful anyways. Have it as an extra option for the people that forget to bring their own.
Tks , im going to LA with this compagny on agust
Sorry but how is single-use wooden cutlery more sustainable than reusable silverware?
Shoulda mentioned the prices as well
Hey thanks for the video! My husband and I will be traveling from Gatwick to USA and want to know if I can bring my handbag besides my personal item (large tote bag) and besides the carry on bag without additional cost? I am confused if the handbag would count as personal item or not? Thank you in advance!
How much?
is this sponosered? I mean, i support everything Norwegians are doing in other countries. But this was a bit of a stretch. First of all, you got all comfy and ready to record before ANYONE else boarded?
You say half full. I see NO ONE else in the cabin lol.... no way...... AND No negative comments AT ALL
Yea kinda sense it that way as well
My thoughts exactly, the whole thing is BS. we're only just back from a long haul flight and in 45 years of going abroad these were THE WORST airline...
@@tomf4547 Yeah and it looks like it wont make it. They are starting to lease their planes out to other companies. Virgin Atlantic all the way
No prices?
Interior looks really dated. The plane is not that old but the chair and IFE look like older model from the early 2010s’
I’ve also priced out 2 round-trip flights on Norse from New York to Athens and to Bangkok. Once you add on the 10 kg / 22 lb. carry-on, it’s pretty close to the cheapest ticket available from full service airlines.
Essentially, you save 10~20% if at all for a huge reduction in service
"huge reduction" is an overstatement. Flying from the US, norse can save a lot of money and the interior is modern compared to the airlines flying outdated British Airways interiors.
Flight half full. They won’t be around long
Can I just ask are unlimited drinks included in premium economy?
Nope. They're penny pinchers.
Maz did you pre order your meal? also did the earphones where included ?
... it better be included... Premium Economy costs double than Economy... LGW -JFK Round trip fares are around 730 and 1400, including checked luggage and meals... ((1 meals in Economy and 2 meals in Premium).
What is a HDMI Charging Socket 😅
Great video, although "HDMI charging socket" - cringe!
He kinda forget about it I think 🤔
“I lived ten minutes from Gatwick” you poor boy
Liam and Maz where WAY too nice on this video, it look like a low cost product even in premium and almost 12 minutes for service after pressing the call bell is unacceptable. There are better options out there!
