@@BeUnstoppabl I'm about to do my mile tests on how fast i can do it, my best mile before used to be 7:30 now I'm trying to get it down to a 7:00 so this might help a lot because what i notice is that I'm going fast for the first like 2 and a half laps and then i start to slow down
Tip: when you’re really tired, don’t pant, breathe in for 2 steps, hold for 2 steps, and out, and then breath normally and you can do that once in a while and it really helps. Don’t do that for the whole run though

I started some time ago doing but breathing throu nose, and out the nose! After some time then i switch to nose, and out throu mouth when i get tierd, that’s what’s helped me to get a faster mile time!

I do a quick breath in and out then i breath out 2x to get rid of the carbon and reduce my lung from expanding too much. I manage to job 2 hrs non stop doing this. When i do a deep breath while jogging, my lung starts to cramp.

I can finally run faster then my buddy he rides a BMX and I use to be able to catch up but I would run out of breath fast ngl this method actually helps thank you man your a real one✌️

For long distance running you want to maintain nasal breathing. Once you start breathing through your mouth your heart rate will increase rapidly, leading to more lactic acid build up. You want to train yourself to breath stradily through your nose over long distances due to the direct relationship between breathing and heart rate. (Increased heart rate does lead to more rapid, and eventually mouth breathing. But conversely, more rapid breathing and mouth breathing lead to an increased heart rate) If you find this difficult , start by doing it at a very easy pace.
The type of breathing mentioned is likely good for sprinting but is inefficient over a longer distance.

Mouth breathing is bad.. better would be a quick double nasal inhale and then a single exhal forces oxygen into your lungs. Stick to nasal only. Starts hard but will help in the long run.. Source Andrew Huberman

Why is mouth breathing bad?
I think when your doing high intensity exercises, inhale with nose and probably helps exhaling with nose and mouth, but if your just doing normal activities, then breathing with your nose only is better.
My experience was I used nose + mouth, my lungs got went nonstop running…I need to prep my self to run 3.1 km in 18 minutes to pass the pft in navy.

This is the only running advice people seem to give but my nasal airways constrict when I run so it’s worthless.

My nose has been broken several times so breathing through it doesn’t work. When I’m running my legs aren’t an issue. But it feels as though I have like an air bubble in my chest. So it’s hard for me to keep my breath.
Inhale inhale exhale exhale every 4 steps. Bad? Good? I find it’s the best way to manage my breathing. And can last 2.5km running non stop like that even as a smoker and not an every day runner

What can i do if i feel like i inhale very little through my nose?
When you inhale watch yourself in the mirror and see if your upper chest is inflating rather than your abdomen. Practice deep breathing in through your nose and out through your mouth and then start to try and bring that into your running for short periods until you get used to it.

Only way your breathing will get better is if you stay consistent with running everyday. There’s no secret on how to breath better

You have more oxygen going to the tissues the more carbon dioxide is in the blood.....lower bpr increases that.
So just talking in more oxygen doesn't equate more oxygen consumption.
And breathing mostly through your nose is, probably, better....
