That's my fav ZZ Top song as well. I'm Bad I'm Nationwide is ZZ at it's finest IMO. Talk about flauntin and just straight pimpin it, ZZ let everyone know lol. 😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎
When I was around 8 or 9 my uncle took me for an exciting ride in the beautifully restored 1971 Corvette he had just bought. This song was playing loudly and I loved it, although I didn’t know what ZZ Top was driving around looking for, a “Tush”? What the hell was that? So I asked my uncle what a tush was, and he knew my mother would not approve of the truth in this case, so he told me it was a really cool model of sports car. He laughed when I asked him to point out a tush when he saw one while we were out driving around. This was in Southern California, a place where you’d see all kinds of cool sports cars. He never did find one. When we got back to my house, my mother asked us where we had gone for so long. I told her we had been driving around so uncle Luke could show me a few tush’s. This did not go over well with my mother.
I was in a bar in the 80s and a great ZZ Top cover band was playing. During this song, the guitarist got up on someone's table, picked up their half full plastic beer pitcher, and played the solo with it perfectly! The bar bands were so much better back then.
I have been fortunate to have seen “That Little Ol’ Band From Texas” Live 4 times. I recorded the last show (Full HD) before Dusty passed away. Always an awesome show. You must see many other tunes from them including “Rough Boy” (official video)…. “Same three guys, same three cords, for five decades” - Billy Gibbons at last show.
Hell Yea…More Top! Waitin on the Bus/Jesus Left Chicago After performing this at the Memphis Blues Festival…Billy was asked “what’s that sound” Billy shrugged his shoulders and said “Texas Blues”
So, y'all from Dallas, eh? I was born and raised in a little town about 250 miles north of you called Tulsa. ZZTop had NO bad songs. Their concerts were like nobody else's! It was a SHOW!
I remember when I first heard this over 40 years ago, a mate of mine who was a brilliant blues guitarist, he played this for me, in Redcliffe a small seaside town north Brisbane, Australia 🇦🇺 we used to go cruising playing this, great times, to all you Americans if you come to Australia drop in to Redcliffe great place and go up to Mapleton from the Landsborough turn off just past Steve Irwin's Australia zoo, you go up the range at the Mapleton pub you can see the whole of the Sunshine Coast down past Brisbane to the Gold Coast quite a view and there's waterfalls and the food is great 👍.
Fun fact about ZZ - they hold the record for the longest time of original band members staying in the band. Only reason that record was broken was Dusty Hill, their bass player, passed away last July. R.I.P. Dusty. Next ZZ Top song - Waitin for the Bus/Jesus Just Left Chicago.
Can NEVER go wrong with some ZZ TOP!!! I'm going to see them in 13 days, in Kamloops BC, Canada, and their opening act/Special Guest is Cheap Trick!! So gonna be a great concert!!! But it won't be the same without Dusty, but at least they're still coming!! RIP Dusty Hill, gone but NEVER forgotten!
Pictures...or it never happened!! LOL...and indeed RIP Dusty, he's missed no doubt..Have a blast at the show, I got to see Cheap Trick in the 70's, I envy you!! Rock ON!
I just saw them in Biloxi in December. Brother Elwood is a fine replacement on bass. They closed with this song, with a recording of Dusty singing the lead live from Rock and Roll Heaven. It was fantastic.
I'm 23 and I was lucky enough to see them a couple years ago, with them was cheap trick. Now that dusty is gone I'm especially happy I went to see them. They were amazing obviously
Ok, Asia. Now that you've had ZZ Top tell you about TUSH, you need to let them tell you about these three things. PEARL NECKLACE. TUBE SNAKE BOOGIE. & this synthesizer boogie classic, VELCRO FLY. That little old band from Texas never fails to bring the funk, blues, chips and crackers. Party On !!
The look on her face when she finds out what a pearl necklace and a tube snake are will be hilarious. There’s also the ZZ Top song “Under Pressure” about a woman who’s into whips and chains, cocaine, and “flipping out with Great Danes”.
My dad and his brothers were in a band from their pre teens. THIS song was a regualar during my lifetime and on through theirs. I can see my mother kickin off her shoes right now. Thank you.
Back when there were record stores, my brother in law was in Memphis looking thru some vinyl records and looked to his side and there was one of ZZ Tops guys with the long beard looking thru records too.
I have to say I'm a huge Stevie Ray Vaughan fan and the first time your channel popped up was a Stevie Ray video Voodoo Child, the first time I heard of ZZTop is when they made news everywhere when Gellette Razor Company offered Billy and Dusty a million dollars each to shave their beards but of course they turned them down and back then a million dollars was alot of money. Stevie Ray's guitar he named #1 he bought in 1974 from Ray Henny's Heart Of Texas Music Shop, Ray Henny said Stevie would come in and look at all the guitars on the wall take on down and hold it. Stevie took #1 down and Ray said it'sa piece of junk but Stevie liked the way it felt it also belonged to another musician named Christopher Cross. Stevie and Ray took it apart, ZZ Topp's Billy Gibbons gave Stevie the neck for his guitar #1.I've been watching you both every since that Stevie video, I love your reactions to music from my era, 70's 80's and 90's. I have to say BJ makes me laugh. Today I definitely have to subscribe because you react to the best music. Thanks
I remember hanging out at Lake Ray Hubbard and White Rock Lake listening to this music. Here in Dallas we had 2 HUGE classic rock stations. Q102 and the ZOO. Dallas was a huge in the music scene. It was a really great time to be a teen. Oh and the Texas Jam. Those were unreal! We would actually camp out at Reunion Arena parking lot to get concert tickets as soon as they went on sale.
This is one of my favorite songs to play. It's great fun, I love coming in on that syncopated beat, I love the standard boogie woogie rhythm, and I love the turn around. It's one of the first ones I learned to play after La Grange when I was starting out.
A proposal. Hurrigane's formidable song "Get on", contemporary with ZZ Top. Recorded in ABBA's studio in the early seventies. Finns couldn't normally speak or sing in English at that time, but the message is clear.
One of the best concerts I went to just before they changed gears with the Eliminator style. They played Tush note for note from the studio recording and because it's relatively short, at the end it was 'One more time' and they played it again - note for note. The place went wild. Fun times.
The more the Tush... The more the Push... Holy Shit you got me ROLLIN RIGHT OFF THE BAT!!🤣😂🤣 Love you guy's energy!! ZZ Top is So eclectic and completely out of the box!! They run the gambit from blues, classic and hard rock seamlessly!! One of the greatest POWER TRIOS Ever!! RIP Dusty!!🙏🏼❤️
Another Rocker that's about Brothel in Texas which also inspired a Movie called " Best little Whore House In Texas" featuring Dolly Parton, anyways,ZZ's tune is "La Grange" the hook clearly is from the Blues but once it's in yo head it ain't never coming out, AND YOU'LL BE GLAD IT BE THERE!!! I saw them on the "Afterburner" tour, "Stages" "Sleeping Bag" "Rough Boy" derive from an Album of the same name of the tour, they changed part of there sound with state of the Art Technology,Y'all R in for more treats!!!❤❤❤😊
Waitin' for the Bus-Jesus left Chicago is something else. Its a double song Blue Jeans Blues ...but ONLY if you want to feel real Blues with BBQ sauce from Funky White Boys from Texas
Tush in Texas, actually means $$money$$, not the other. Billy Gibbons said this song was inspired by what he referred to as a "Tush Hog" who was a rich, rich, rich person. It's literally T-U-S-H, Tush, not a girl's backside - tousch. LOL
ZZ Top has some "cheeky" songs such as Tush. Others like Pearl Necklace and Tube Snake Boogie are funky and fun. When needing a pick-me-up, ZZ Top never fails to get you going.
I'm a little older than y'all and I saw them on their 50th anniversary tour. They played over an hour and there was not a song that didn't get radio play. Thay didn't play TV Dinners. Just. To mention another classic. Great official video.
You both make my day. So upbeat.SO fun to watch. I enjoy your positive reactions to an eclectic bunch of songs. Add ZZTOP in to the mix its perfect. Thanks for all your hard work.
Hey Guys, have you ever checked this band out from New Zealand called L.A.B such songs as "Fashion Dread Live" and "Proud Man Live" and more. Brilliant band
Pearl Necklace and Tube Snake Boogie are the natural progression from looking for some Tush. Once you find it, those two things are next. Check those 2 songs out.
Such a fun song. I'm not sure what all you've done by them yet I know I've heard a couple. But somebody below-mentioned I'm bad, I'm Nationwide, that is really worth checking out because it's got a really interesting rhythmic trick in it and then it's got this whole other section which is really funky and dance oriented but still really Groove and bluesy and rough.. I also, for both the story and the sheer blazing musicianship, a short song called, I heard it on the X, which was an outlaw radio station he heard growing up or he learned a lot of his licks and both of them are taking turns lead singing on it and it's really cool. And then of course one that is just so fun and kind of in the direction of this one, is called, Tube Snake Boogie.
You have to understand that this was REVOLUTIONARY when it came out. Right or wrong, it was almost like an anthem for us young guys back then. There was nothing on radio quite like this and certainly not saying what they do in this song. We couldn't get enough...lol.
Great Tune and as for the Length of the song many songs were recorded under 3 minutes back in the day because they wouldn't get any Radio Play time if they were Too Long
I was born in 1970 and I was yesterday years old when I found out that Dusty sang lead on this
"Beer Drinkers and Hell Raisers," scorches....peace and love!!
Must do 'I'm Bad,I'm Nationwide'. ZZTOP never disappoints and you can never sit still listening to them 🙏✌🤘😎🤘
YES please do this song!!!
That's my fav ZZ Top song as well. I'm Bad I'm Nationwide is ZZ at it's finest IMO. Talk about flauntin and just straight pimpin it, ZZ let everyone know lol. 😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎

ZZ Top one of the greatest. MY MINDS IN MISSISSIPPI is another good one that don't get a lot of play
ZZ Top "Blue Jean Blues"...A MUST HEAR Classic...Truth!!
Agreed!
Hard rock blues band 🎸 legends from my home state, Texas!. Yalls, too. Yes. Nothing wrong with tush! 😜
I was in a bar in the 80s and a great ZZ Top cover band was playing. During this song, the guitarist got up on someone's table, picked up their half full plastic beer pitcher, and played the solo with it perfectly! The bar bands were so much better back then.
Asia & BJ, you'll love their "Legs" !!
One of ZZ Top's best is Waitin For The Bus/Jesus Just Left Chicago. It's straight blues, you guys would love it.
I just wrote the same.
I have been fortunate to have seen “That Little Ol’ Band From Texas” Live 4 times. I recorded the last show (Full HD) before Dusty passed away. Always an awesome show. so glad you did this, my favorite ZZ Top song and album Fandango.
I remember seeing ZZ Top on a business trip to Portland, Maine, it was a last minute decision but I glad I went
Now u gotta do " WAITIN FOR THE BUS" & "JESUS JUST LEFT CHICAGO" back to back. U guys rock. ♥️💯😎
My all time favorite band. Billy’s guitar is just straight truth. 😎
Certainly a classic ZZ Top song. Also check out Gimmie All Your Lovin' and Legs. Videos should be played for both of these.
ZZ TOP good song to start the morning @8:25 over here in South Louisiana ✌️❤️💯
You can never go wrong with any ZZ Top song. This band is the upper echelon of rock music.

They always put on a great show. I'm so jealous!
Pictures...or it never happened!! LOL...and indeed RIP Dusty, he's missed no doubt..Have a blast at the show, I got to see Cheap Trick in the 70's, I envy you!! Rock ON!
Nice, I'm gonna be seeing them June 7th in Bend, Oregon. Saw cheap trick and Kansas on their 40th anniversary tour. Still great memories
& this synthesizer boogie classic,
VELCRO FLY.
Thank you.
This group never made a bad song… period! 🎵🎶
These guys are full of soooo much soul, blues, rock, and funk.... hit ALL OF IT!
I saw them and Lynyrd Skynyrd in Bee Cave, Texas back in 2011. Was a badass show
Back when there were record stores, my brother in law was in Memphis looking thru some vinyl records and looked to his side and there was one of ZZ Tops guys with the long beard looking thru records too.

Tush, Under Pressure, and La Grange are my three faves out of their several hits
I remember hanging out at Lake Ray Hubbard and White Rock Lake listening to this music. Here in Dallas we had 2 HUGE classic rock stations. Q102 and the ZOO. Dallas was a huge in the music scene. You guys have been reacting like crazy lately. Great music really enjoy watching you guys! Much Love 😎👍

Dusty Hill, the vocals in this song, grew up in old East Dallas. He was giving a shout out to his hometown. ;-)
"Heard It On The X"
totally jams.
They mentioned Dallas because that’s where they’re from. Starting from being in Dallas, Texas going to Hollywood
Only Dusty Hill was from Dallas. Billy Gibbons is from Houston and Frank Beard is from Frankston Texas.
Bj I saw that first chuckle when billy said ' tush' your expressions kill me !!🤣😂😂😂😯😛😜😝🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪
One of the best concerts I went to just before they changed gears with the Eliminator style. They played Tush note for note from the studio recording and because it's relatively short, at the end it was 'One more time' and they played it again - note for note. The place went wild. Fun times.

Billy Gibbons is Pictured with Jimi Hendrix! (Pre ZZ Top with his band The Moving Sidewalks)

My favorite favorite ZZ Top song. Best tune, best lyrics, best to dance to. I've always wished it was longer.
Waitin' for the Bus-Jesus left Chicago is something else. Its a double song
Blue Jeans Blues ...but ONLY if you want to feel real Blues with BBQ sauce from Funky White Boys from Texas
Tush in Texas, actually means $$money$$, not the other. Billy Gibbons said this song was inspired by what he referred to as a "Tush Hog" who was a rich, rich, rich person. It's literally T-U-S-H, Tush, not a girl's backside - tousch. LOL
Dusty had great vocals, he sang some but not a lot, beer drinkers and he'll raisers is another he sang
Didn't Dusty also do the vocals for "Party On The Patio"?
Blue Jean Blues is a deep track and a must listen!!✌️
ZZ Top has some "cheeky" songs such as Tush. Others like Pearl Necklace and Tube Snake Boogie are funky and fun. When needing a pick-me-up, ZZ Top never fails to get you going.
Dusty Hill (the bass player who sang on this song) is from Dallas. He grew up around Lakewood.
One of my favourite ZZTop songs of all time. Dusty had great vocals!!!
Great reaction! They are Texans with no apologies! Sometimes you just gotta look for some tush?🤷🏼♂️🤠
You got that right!
"Mexican Blackbird", "Heard it on the X", "I'm Bad, I'm Nationwide", "Blue Jean Blues"....
"Heard It On The X" is a full on banger.
Us Texans like us some ZZ Top
Check out some of their early stuff. Beer Drinkers and Hell Raisers is sooo good.
I'm a little older than y'all and I saw them on their 50th anniversary tour. They played over an hour and there was not a song that didn't get radio play. Thay didn't play TV Dinners. Just. To mention another classic. Great official video.
They once described their sound as same 3 guys playing same 3 chords. 😊 We love 'em!
I've heard this song 1000 times, and am like "yeah" when they say Dallas Tx!
Now that you've done their Tush, you should do their Legs
They wrote it under ten mins at a rodeo in Muscle Shoals Alabama.
The Tres Ombres/Fandango double album is the absolute best ZZ Top bomb!!!
This and "Rough Boy" are my favs, but all are great.
Lead vocals by the late Dusty Hill (bass) of ZZ Top (R.I.P. 🤘🤘)
Good one here. Love ZZ
The shuffle beat just hits you right where it counts. Great stuff!!
ZZ Top wrote a few songs about chasing 'Tush'. One of my favs is 'La Grange'.
ZZ Top! Lots of Great! TV dinners! Yeah 👍 Cowboy thing! 🤠🇺🇸🥩🐴
The Sword is from Texas
One of my favorite songs by ZZ TOP
You both make my day. So upbeat.SO fun to watch. I enjoy your positive reactions to an eclectic bunch of songs. Add ZZTOP in to the mix its perfect. Thanks for all your hard work.

Hey Guys, have you ever checked this band out from New Zealand called L.A.B such songs as "Fashion Dread Live" and "Proud Man Live" and more. Brilliant band
Pearl Necklace and Tube Snake Boogie are the natural progression from looking for some Tush. Once you find it, those two things are next. Check those 2 songs out.

Blue Jean Blues is a great ZZ song, deep blues guitar.

Thank you so much for now in music
RIP Dusty !!! ZZ Top bad boys of Texas!! ❤️❤️
“I’m Just looking for some Tush!” Yes Sir!!
The last time I saw them was in 2019 when Dusty was still alive. Always a great show!
That whole Fandango! album is fire. This sounds a little different than the version that’s on Fandango! The original has a rawer sound, but I love it.
Dusty did some great vocals on this one
Yes Yes Yes- LOL Gotta love ZZ Top !!
You have to understand that this was REVOLUTIONARY when it came out. Right or wrong, it was almost like an anthem for us young guys back then. There was nothing on radio quite like this and certainly not saying what they do in this song. We couldn't get enough...lol.
Texas boogie woogie ….again….I like it! Yeah! 🤘😎❤️🎼🎶❤️ oooh that bass line…..mmmm good.🔥🔥🔥

You need to check out “Tube Snake Boogie.” Also short and sweet and to the point
Great Tune and as for the Length of the song many songs were recorded under 3 minutes back in the day because they wouldn't get any Radio Play time if they were Too Long
