I absolutely Love your positivity when it comes to seeing other people mistakes and telling them they can do it and that they are so close its really nice to see keep up the great work :)
Love the series, but confused by the first console. You bought it at 160 with condition basically unknown. Now you have it powering up but just a weird issue, seems like that would be worth more, not less. You know it better than I do, just feels backwards.
It seems he paid more for these as at the time of purchasing ps5s in general sold for more, atleast that is what he has been saying. Maybe he is just being conservative with the estimate.
@@trevor245 Ah that makes more sense. In my head I was imaging he just bought it, but he might have had this sitting around for a bit and the market just changed. Fair point.
Completely see your point 😊 Before I sold it to Phil, I had it listed on eBay for around £150 for over a day and it didn’t sell. The market is so up and down with these at the moment 😊
@@JoeyDoesTech That makes complete sense. I just misunderstood you in the video and thought you were saying because it was now running somewhat, it was worth less and got super confused, but it makes sense now. Keep up the awesome work! I love the series and have learned a lot from it :)
Congrats! I applaud your honesty and wanting to do what is right when receiving a no fault unit from a private seller. On the other hand you have used your expertise to diagnose no fault so charging a nominal "check and clean" fee seems appropriate while giving the seller the chance to buy back if they wish?
Well done, Joey l do love watching your channel I've learnt a lot from you and it's helped me out with my channel 😀 So glad it's all working out for you mate 🎉
Would be really nice if you can make a tour of your equipment setup. From soldering iron, suction tubes, etc... Very interested in it because I believe the right tools makes the task much more easier
10 year pc technician here, admittedly no experience with consoles - I don’t play games and the last console I owned was a PlayStation one - in my world, the issue you are experiencing with the first console would lead me to suspect either ram, cmos, or bios issues, in that order. Haven’t finished video yet but I saw in another comment that you already sold it - would love to know if the buyer manages to fix it, and what the problem was!
I keep wondering what idiot designed the HDMI port. They are so flimsy and prone to breaking. We had it already figured out in the 90s with VGA which would firmly screw into place....
In many of the repairs you do in the series, the spare parts come from donor boards, but when you have a piece of equipment that you can't fix, you say you will sell it as defective and you lose some money. so my question is, if you sell the defective, where do the donor boards come from?
People are absolutely bonkers for paying so much for broken game consoles.... A ps5 is barely worth $300 brand new in box! Its not worth more than $50 in a broken state lol
Hey Joey love your content, I have a couple Xbox ones that don't work, I actually bought them off eBay inspired by your videos but I just don't have the time for them, I'd be happy for you to have them for free if you'd like Todo a video on them? I've not done anything with them literally got them delivered a few months ago and just not got around to even having a look at them, not even tried to power them up so you may get lucky haha I don't even have power leads for them hence not even tried to power them up.
Why don't you do yourself a challenge and get Mrs Joey Does Tech to randomly select and pay for a few consoles but only tell you the price and fault with no peaking at any listing
How about this when you make 15 day streak you giveaway the 15th thing you get or you sell it live and the plus you make you will give to a charity of your choose
These videos are cool, but can you challenge yourself to find a product to repair that is actually worth the time (if you were not a UA-camr?). I would think you'd want to make at least 50 an hour doing repairs....
I really like how when you are mentioning someone else's solder job you are always so supportive of their attempt.
"that was definitely a bot lobby" said so seriously and professionally 😂
I did not know that Joey is MVP.
Nice victory royale Joey
Number one victory royale

JOEY REALLY LOCKED IN WITH FORTNITE WHILE TESTING THE PS5. WOW.
(Normally I don’t comment like this, but wow.)
You’re far from dumb, Joey! In fact, I think you’re a fixing genius! Well done, Mate!

PS5s are garbage consoles. Sony dropped the ball on the PS5 big time and doesn't do anything about it. The PS2 Sony era was peak Sony.
Best youtube 'tronics fix' channel I've found so far! Keep up the good work. Dont tell Big Clive I said that. :)

Joey winnings winning. Doesn't matter if it's by an inch or a mile.
Well done, Joey l do love watching your channel I've learnt a lot from you and it's helped me out with my channel 😀
So glad it's all working out for you mate 🎉
Something a bit different at the end. Very interesting. Great job Joe.
Nice job. Glad you recommended that Engineer SS-02 solder sucker, works great!
Why do I enjoy the videos, it's great.
Well done Joey!
My face feels very welcomed thank you joey
that PS5 HDMI port replacemant looks FACTORY! its hecking MINT
300th video today? Congratulations, Joey... ;)
I always wonder if that diode on the back will fall of when you heat the board. I guess it is holding on with surface tension.
Can't believe Big B made a cameo! Also enjoyed the JDT-first USB swap too :D
When you want to see a fix but at the same you want to see a 20bomb kill 😂😂😂
The small filter to the left of the usb circuit is this the same filters used on the hdmi circuit??? Great video as always 👌🏻😎
Is big Bertha a different iron? or just different tip?
Hey what iron tips do you use? 👀
I've been sat refreshing for this, can't wait to see us get to 13 Joeeeeyyyy
I wish you'd do a joe dose tec ps5 covers. Your mug design is awesome.. I'd definitely put it on my ps5
Ooo I like the sound of that!
@JoeyDoesTech if you ever do decide to do this put me down for 1 it would go awesome in my studio
Love the channel. I’m not the biggest tech nerd so I’m a bit confused on the first console. Why could you not repair it ?
loved the fortnite gameplay joey!! also super exciting to see if this streak continues :D
About time you changed your gloves 🤣🤣🤣
Expert with an iron and goated on the sticks 😜
We need more joey gaming
Would be really nice if you can make a tour of your equipment setup. From soldering iron, suction tubes, etc... Very interested in it because I believe the right tools makes the task much more easier
There is a room tour video on the channel recently :)

what is that website that you use to search the error codes and IC's?
Joey, you’re an absolute beast at Fortnite!
Put the slim bios if u cant get it to work

I only started selling the defective around episode 60 or so, maybe even a bit later, so I have lots of donors haha.
Which is also the reason why the profit hasn't been that great this whole time!
That's Sally reminding to stay humble after you started yapping about 15 win streak goal :D

So close! But a profit is a profit! Heading to 15 and I believe it will happen!
I need Joey on my squad.
Joey winning at the repair game AND the Fortnite game damn
Profit is profit don't break the win streak!
But.. but.. you said effernet 🤣
Congrats on 300th video, but it’s definitely only 10 wins 😂
Let's go!!!
It sounds like the central peg for holding the disk is just spinning.
2nd console USB port 👀
Man why only ps, xbox and Nintendo only? Only available electronics or that's only the one you can work on?
Got a link to your ebay page.
After a ps5 for my lad
Can we talk about his Fortnite skills? Nice fix btw :)
People are absolutely bonkers for paying so much for broken game consoles.... A ps5 is barely worth $300 brand new in box! Its not worth more than $50 in a broken state lol
I’m glad that you/We (as the loving viewers 😍) keep making profit but it makes me sad that we’re getting closer to the end of £1000 Joe 😢
I feel like the towel was thrown in too early on the first one.
Why didnt u just keep the ps that was already working fix the dvd drive and sell it again ?
So when is JPG (Joey Plays Games) channel coming 2:25 :D
isn't the first console one that TheCod3r bought?
Yes :)

does all he fix is PS and xboxes?
The question now is more if you can you reach £1000 in total profit before the win streak ends? :)
You say that previously the best win streak was 6 - surely it was 11?
Do a steam deck
If joey gets to 15 I'll mail him my PS5
Efternet 😅
How about this when you make 15 day streak you giveaway the 15th thing you get or you sell it live and the plus you make you will give to a charity of your choose
Dang look who's good at fortnite
Why didn't you just sell it for what you brought it for then you wouldn't of made a loss plus it is actually working as well
