The "change of scenery video style" is great! We love to hear your thoughts on your business. Yes , I too run sales that end either Sunday or Monday. And as for smaller dollar sales, they are the bread and butter. It's great to have a good mixture of items at various price points. Happy eBaying to you!
First video of yours I have seen and I have subscribed. I am just learning all I can before I bite the bullet and start listing on eBay. I've been sourcing for about 3 years but only learning from UA-cam videos when I have spare time. Thanks for sharing your tips.
I like the idea of the weekend sales. I'm not currently a paying for a store, but I will be soon and intend to do something similar. Nothing drives purchases of interested buyers more than urgency and a cheaper price!
I love this! I usually do a sale every weekend also...I do not filter as much as you do but I think I will start doing that more! Depending on the item...once the sale starts..which is usually Friday-Monday like yours, I will send out offers to make sure of the sale. I had 12 sales over the weekend doing this just on Ebay and I had several on other places I sell as well. I just found you. Loved the video and I subscribed to your channel! I always like hearing new tips and tricks. I only list 5 a day and my sales are pretty steady. Thanks so much!
I did this last weekend and I definitely saw a difference. I've decided to give it 3 month trial and see what happens. I really appreciate the idea. Thanks for sharing!!
I just finished going through all my listings and revising them with the new AI background images and have found its made a big difference in my sales.
I forgot to mention I did this slowly. Ending 10 listings or so a day. Editing. And then relisting 5 or so. I firmly believe being active on your account daily helps with algorithms
@@stephaniecoffee447From your phone. Upload your photos and the center button available erase the background and then you have many options for background from there.
@@stephaniecoffee447it’s in the pictures in the listing. It’s the square icon on the bottom right in the middle. It first eliminates all the background. Play with “studio” and when you hit “generate” you can change colors (red and blue work good for me) also the scenes work the same way (I put a few surf items on a Beach Background)
I’m a new again reseller this yr. I have close to 150 listings but no store. I see that there’s more perks than simply shipping supplies in having a store :)
There are but if u go over the free listing number u pay relist fees. I found that out the hard way. I had 1200 items and they chargef me .25 x 300 it was nuts had to up my store to theb10k free listings. Look out for that dont go over your free listing limit.
I have a much larger store than you and our items are mostly new and not the same sort of items you sell typically. I will say as I came across your video, that you definitely have a high degree of sell through for relatively few items. You definitely have a good feel for items and pricing. That is a large sales volume for a small store. I am sure you have some specialized items and a relatively high dolalr average per item.
The Age-r booster is freaking amazing. I have one I have the pro. and it’s a skin care tool. And it is well worth that price that you sold it for. I actually had one given to me by the company so mine was free, but that was an amazing find to be able to sell that.
Great tip! Going to test this out. I did notice a slight increase in sales and watchers when I tried a sale on a few items, so this may do well for me.
Couple questions So you wait to send your offers until after the 10-20% sale end over the weekend? Also what % are you sending your offers at? Is it similar to what the sale was or higher. Its interesting concept baiting the fish pond either they want to buy during the sale that is only 2 days or they are lured in to watch/view to try to catch them again after the sale. Thanks
Omg... I can't believe this is my first time watching your channel. What a great tip for more sales! I absolutely love the tarot card art on the walls in your intro or wherever I saw it 😂..... I'm into the magical world too 🧙🏼♀️♐♊♒
I did 15% for 15 Days and cleared out a lot of inventory, but I think I like your approach better. I got little action in the first week, most of it in the last few days. Thinking the weekend event will work better. Thanks for the idea, amigo!
Really great strategy suggestion, TB! Very helpful. What would you suggest for people who have tighter profit margins on their product listings? 10-20% discounts could be a pretty big bite out of profits if I’m doing around 30% profit on items.
Intesting to hear about you using discount promotions. I just came up that this weekend so I'm to try it next weekend. I only have about 47 items but I'd like to see sales.
I do something similar to your discount strategy. However I start mine on Tuesday and run it to Momday night. I think if i followed your process of pricing my items at the lowest ebay price i would move so much more inventory and do think that plays a big part into how well how you sell your item in addition to having high sell through on the stuff you pick.
Thanks for another great video. I've noticed a lot of your items are new-with-tags, or new-in-box. Do you mostly source those at thrift stores and yards sales? My local thrifts don't seem to carry many new items (or maybe they just get snapped up before I arrive...)
Thanks for checkin it out. I source thrift stores, garage sales, estate sales, flea markets, storage auctions and liquidation auctions. I do find a good amount of new stuff indeed. A lot comes through liquidation auctions, lost cargo type auctions, but I also find a decent amount of new stuff at garage and thrift stores. I think @ThriftSchool finds a decent amount of sealed stuff at his local thrift stores as well.
Great video! I am new to your. I normally run sales events and i see a little pick-up. Your idea sounds much more effective and efficient! Will be trying this weekend! Thank you!
I do. I usually do about a quarter of what they suggest. Just to get it up in the algorithm. They often sell without the promotion as well, which I find weird. Lol
A Wham-o frisbee?? Glow in the Dark? Great find & sale!! And if someone is WATCHING an item - yes, a possible sale. Good move to offer discounts, sell it, $$ in your pocket to purchase 'new' items to sell. I love selling on Ebay too!!! 15+ years now.
So that is what i have been doing too. Im a part-time reseller with about 450 listings. I've been doing it about a month now. One thing I can do better is start the price a bit lower than the lowest sales price. I did try something new this week, I am going on vacation mode for about a week. I ran 10% off all my listing 30 days and newer, and 30% on anything older. They say Vacation Mode kills your store. I also have drafts set up to list 5 a day while i am gone.
20+ years. Never used coupons. Never had a sale. Never made offers. Absolutely never promoted. If I had an item that took longer to sell than I preferred, I raised my price. Top seller. I was successful because I sold something that was wanted. Whatever it is ANY of are trying to sell, it has to be a DESIRED PRODUCT. Are your items still popular, or has interest realistically dried up? Would YOU really want to buy your own product? I WANTED to also sell in a particular niche I was passionate about, but after evaluating, I realized the spread of $$$ was too great in this particular field, so I knew I could not be successful.
Sales event is great I usually do them starting on Saturday morning and run them through Sunday night. However, I can’t filter mine the way you are here because I end all listings first usually on Friday night and then use sell similar Saturday morning followed by sales event. So, it makes all my items show up as only having been on for 1 day.
Great video! You gotta have every little edge you can get and try every trick that can have a chance at working, Especially with this inflation! Hope you keep doing well.
I have to be honest. I’ve been on eBay for years and it’s my primary source of income. It’s rare for me to see something new that I’m excited to try and this was one of those things. I just happened to watch it on a Friday night and decided to give it a try. I sell a mixture of used and new items mixed in with some Lego and retired toys. Currently have about 2600 items listed as of Sunday early afternoon I’ve got about $950 in sales and 95 offers to send out on Monday. My weekends are usually good, but not this good and I usually send offers when I see at least 10. So I thank you for sharing this idea. I did 10% off 3-7 days and 20% off 10-100 days, because I recently did 40% off most things over 300 days thru the end of Nov.
Yes! Came here to ask the same question. (Great minds🙂) If they didn't purchase at 10 or 20% off, what percent do you offer on Mondays? Thanks for the video!
thanks for the video. i have always been a set and forget it store but sales have sucked this summer so I am going to try your weekend sales idea. thanks again!
Just found your videos and was excited to try this method. I'll let you know if it worked for me. Fingers crossed I can move some inventory and make room for new! Thanks for the help! A newbie.
Welp, I tried two weekends in a row, using your method to a tee. I took into account 1. First of month, 2. Hurricane Helene. Sales not only didn't pick up but I got low-balled on two sale items. But my sales did do well on Etsy both weekends. What am I missing?
Stumbled across your channel for the first time today..Most helpful video I’ve seen in a hot minute!! Thank You!! Now it’s time to go back and see what other tips you’ve shared.
Same. Never seen one of your videos. I’m a reseller. Your items for sale have to be the best available to have those sell thru or sale numbers. 🤯 I might try your idea. I normally just send offers to each watcher when eBay prompts me.
Quick question ... So you run a sale on the weekend and then send offers out to the weekends "watchers". But didn't they "watch" the item on sale and then your sending offers when the sales over? So are your offers better than the sale price?
New subscriber! Like your philosophy. Been selling part-time for the past 19 months. Thinking about switching to an eBay store....some really good benefits! Maybe you can touch on that in your next video?!?!
I just started to sell things on eBay as of thursday. So far, I've had 6 items sold. About 2 per day. I know why they sold fast, though. Most are items people always want. I try to pick and choose hard what i list. I put up about 1-4 listings a day when i can. I have most with offers, but some are priced to sell without offers. I appreciate any and all help. Thank you
@Skyos02 silver rounds/collectible silver. Some Utah Goldbacks. Some knives and a lot of Star Wars trading cards so far. I ha e a bunch of things to list, like sports cards, rc vehicles, video game stuff, and collectibles. I just price things to sell fast, mostly the silver and gold I paid way less 4 years ago, so my profits are almost double on it.
Been running a sale every weekend for the past few weeks and it seems to help. Lets face it, peple are price driven and love getting a deal, so that's the boat I'm getting on 🎉 Thank you for posting about the "filter" strategy, I didn't even know I could filter my items, so I'm definitely trying this approach next weekend. Hoping that means I move older listings by offering a larger discount. I am curious why you wait until Monday to send watchers offers? I typically send offers ASAP, so I'm wondering if I should wait? Just found your videos and subscribed, thank you 😊 *****Just watched your Saturday video and got my answer to why you wait until Monday to send offers....makes sense....can't wait to try this next week.
Good strategy man thanks will try it out see if it helps my store 👍 My current strategy I put everything for sale according to the age of the listing. Will also do an additional sale at the last week of the month to boost monthly sales.
Thanks for the vid! I have been an online reseller for many years and I never did a sale before. I wanted to try this but there are limitations... at least on the ebay I am listing on.. : Only items that have been active for at least 14 days, have not changed in price for 14 days and have not been in other promotions are eligible for sales promotions. Your skipped articles do not meet any of these points. I have around 2100 items listed, but I do end and sell similar quite regularly.. And because of this, "only" around 1275 items have been put on sale... Ebay needs to get its shit together. These are MY items, if I want to sell them for less, isnt it MY right to do so? So weird haha.
I still do a lot, yes. Obviously I'm more aware of what to look for and the process doesn't take as long. But the first few years I would look up EVERYTHING until I really got a grasp. As you know, there's always so much to learn and things are always changing. But it all takes much less time now and reselling instincts are much stronger :)
so weird...I decided to put everything on sale for 3 days this weekend at 25% off just out of the blue- sale still in progress and so far not super successful but I have sold a few things and have many watchers. Had to go back in and turn best offer off for the sale- I don't have a store, yet so had to do it manually but it was pretty easy. I will put everything back to regular price at midnight on Sunday and send offers on Mon/ Tues. May keep doing it depending on the experiment... I do watch quite a few you tube vids from resellers but had not seen any of your stuff til tonight- LOL Is Big Brother watching??
Great content. Love the strategy. It's a very powerful tactic in my opinion. I'm fairly new to thrifting and reselling on eBay and have not implemented sale events with much return but the timing makes sense I can tell. Thank you for the insight!
Hi boss, just found your videos and enjoy them. I think you’re offering some good advice.. however I’m having a problem with the volume. I can’t hear even with my Bluetooth speaker cranked all the way up. I think if you used a microphone, you would have better audio quality. Just a thought. Thank you very much for very good videos.
Question. Why do you just run sales on the weekends? People are shopping 24/7 all around the world - so why not just run a constant sale of X% off your oldest items at all times, and update the included listings once a month (like most of us do lol) I'm just confused what the benefit of turning your sale off and on and off and on and off and on, just on the weekends.
Because most of my items sell for full price when not on sale. Weekend sales are to lure folks to my listings. If they buy during the weekend sale, great for them. If not, no problem. The more people that look at your items the more eBay algorithm will show your listings to more people. But most folks pay full price during the week so I’d lose out on too much cash if I had a sale 24/7/365
@@ThriftBoss Interesting. I experience the opposite to be true. More full price sales on the weekend and more daily sales overall for Sun & Sat. Must be a clothing thing. I only put my oldest merchandise on sale. I find promoted listings is the only surefire way to get more eyeballs on your listings.
Does this cause listings to overlap? I started a draft and some items in my 10% are also in my 20% off. Does one supersede the other? Am I doing something wrong 🤔 Thanks so much
Genius! I had no idea this was an option either. I've only been selling for a month. I've had three sales but I'd like a whole lot more lol. Any advice on how to go about this with calculated shipping? Is that still a good option for this?
New subscriber here! Re: best offer - I run 25-40% off sales but then people make offers that are 50% off of my sale price. My prices usually come in at/ under other sellers with the same/similar items. The lowballing caused me to take best offer off so many of my items and I'm currently just sending offers to likers. Is there a way to turn best offer OFF while running a sale and then turn it back ON after the sale? I don't have time to revise every listing each time. Thank you for your insight!
Hi. I am new to your channel and am enjoying your content. I think I will try this. I like using offers, but get frustrated sometimes at how small my "offer eligible" list is sometimes. Am hoping this will boost sales and move some older inventory. Thanks!
sales have been great but getting alot more clothing returns nowadays. Use to avg maybe 3 a year and now im getting over 3 a month. Been at it for 12 years also. Never experienced anything like it. Think i might have to run sales and liquidate my clothing and change my model.
At least 5 on Monday-Wednesday and then ramp it up as the weekend approaches. Generally around 10 on Thursday and then 15-25 on Fri/Sat/Sun. Sometimes that's not possible if I don't have the inventory, so I'd scale it back during the week and focus more on listing for the weekends when most people are shopping online. Thanks!
I went back to the listings that were sitting 6 months or so w/out any clicks, ended listings and relisted with suggested promotion rate and bit lower price, and got some immediate sales tis way, was my best week, I am 8 months seller/

@Skyos02 had 3 more items sell this weekend thankfully
Great tips! Thank you. Curious what offer you are sending Monday? Is it more than your 10 or 20 that you sent over the weekend? Thx.
Howdy! Watch the follow up vid for that answer :) ua-cam.com/video/Y-cseWb1QqU/v-deo.html
New subscriber here. I think I like your approach to running sales and offers . I need to ramp up my listings for 4th quarter .
I send offers everyday, not many take that offer up.
I'll be running weekend sales to see how they work out for me.
Do you also use EBay’s suggested promo rates? Great video, thank you.
Just found your videos and subscribed, thank you 😊 *****Just watched your Saturday video and got my answer to why you wait until Monday to send offers....makes sense....can't wait to try this next week.
i like to send offers friday afternoon as most people are paid thursday/friday so they will spend those days.
Great tip! Learned something new. Subbed!
I thought you are Jim Caviezel!😂
I did a double take also..they could definitely be related.
Good strategy man thanks will try it out see if it helps my store 👍 My current strategy I put everything for sale according to the age of the listing. Will also do an additional sale at the last week of the month to boost monthly sales.
new sub here keep going brother love your positive attitude
Do you look up comps for everything when you're out sourcing? That sell through is amazing 🔥
I am new to your channel and appreciate your tips . Subscribed and will start watching regularly.
so weird...I decided to put everything on sale for 3 days this weekend at 25% off just out of the blue- sale still in progress and so far not super successful but I have sold a few things and have many watchers.
Weekend Sales Events followed by Monday offers. I think I got it. Do you also promote your listings, and if so, at what percentage? Thanks.
Thank you for sharing this information. I really appreciate it. Testing it this weekend!
Hi , yes I always run sales! Thank you for the content.
Over the top... wowza, blast from the past!😂🎉
Hi there! This was my first time coming across one of your videos and enjoyed it very much! I just became a new sub! Thank you!
I send offers regularly & that are 20-30% off if It’s for an item I’ve had too long. That usually gets me a lot of sales.
Question. Why do you just run sales on the weekends? People are shopping 24/7 all around the world - so why not just run a constant sale of X% off your oldest items at all times, and update the included listings once a month (like most of us do lol)
I'm just confused what the benefit of turning your sale off and on and off and on and off and on, just on the weekends.
Thanks so much, this is a great idea! First video I've watched from you, you've got a new subscriber.
I love all offers! Any attention is good attention ❤
You can turn it off in bulk in the “edit selected” screen Before you start your sale, and then turn it back on After.
@stevenrhodes3836 I'll look i to it, thank you!
I love this idea, I'm going to give it a try. Will report back.
What kind of auctions are you doing for sourcing new high value items?
Great idea the discounts
When you say you got it in an "auction lot" what does that mean?
Liquidation auctions - lost cargo auctions. I also do storage unit auctions.
@@ThriftBoss Thanks for that!
@@ThriftBosswould you do a video on those auctions and how to find them?
Newbie here!! Hello 🤗
Question ❓ Can I do this discount sale strategy on my mobile phone?
Nice vid. Curious as to what % do you send offers out on Monday? Asking because some items have been 10% off and some 20% off on sale events
Hi. I am new to your channel and am enjoying your content. I think I will try this. I like using offers, but get frustrated sometimes at how small my "offer eligible" list is sometimes. Am hoping this will boost sales and move some older inventory. Thanks!
If it works for you thats great!!!
Thank for advice, I am going to try it now.
"it looks like ,some osrt of fountain of youth in a box" 😂 Its so true that we dont have to even know what things are in order to sell them.
Lmao you know for a FACT that it was his 😂 he was just playing crazy
sales have been great but getting alot more clothing returns nowadays. Use to avg maybe 3 a year and now im getting over 3 a month. Been at it for 12 years also. Never experienced anything like it. Think i might have to run sales and liquidate my clothing and change my model.
Cool strategy!
Subbed.
How do you ship items when away fir 9 weeks
Do you go to local auctions?
Does the days on site change when you relist as sell similar?
Yes. I relist as similar once/month however I know what's *actually* older than 30 days
I'm your new subscriber. Nice vids.
Hi, I’m a new subscriber from Omaha. Thanks for such a great video.
Thank you! Glad I found your channel!
How many items do you list per day?
At least 5 on Monday-Wednesday and then ramp it up as the weekend approaches. Generally around 10 on Thursday and then 15-25 on Fri/Sat/Sun. Sometimes that's not possible if I don't have the inventory, so I'd scale it back during the week and focus more on listing for the weekends when most people are shopping online. Thanks!
