1 bad experience? Why fo you think this is the first time. It's definitely not. I've talked about it over and over. Getting the wrong stuff, smashed boxes, waiting 18 days for ammo to arrive. Being delivered to the wrong house. It happens to many many people. Go look at comments on some UA-cam videos. It's not just me that has issues. But good thing you ordered so much and never had an issue.

I’ve ordered a lot of ammo online, and still do, and only once have they screwed up my order sending me 55 grain 5.56 instead of 62 grain (just like you)…so I contacted the company and they sent me the 62 grain and I bought the 55 grain at a reduced rate instead of sending it back

Considering the issues you've had getting damaged ammo, missing ammo and issues like this with online ordering I can only surmise that you must have done something pretty awful in a prior life and are now paying the price. 🙂 As far as far as people complaining that you buy too much ammo, you're hoarding and they can't get it goes. To hell with them. What's stopping them from going out and buying ammo? Nothing. They complain because they procrastinate and then can't find the ammo they want and they want to blame people like you and me for maintaining the ammo stock we are comfortable with. There's a big difference between maintaining your stock and hoarding. I admit to stocking a bit more than I normally would, but with the future uncertain it only makes sense. If someone want's to accuse me of hoarding I'll just go out and buy another case of ammo just to tick them off.

He emailed the supplier and asked what the deal was and they literally replied "well that's what we call Winchester Service Grade" Fuckin' crooks abound.
I had a similar, yet kinda opposite problem. I ordered normal FMJ X-TAC 556 thru a retailer (not X-TAC website) and rcvd Green Tips. While some out there may say I got lucky...my intent is target shooting/plinking and my range does not allow Green Tips. So now I have a bunch of SHTF ammo that I really don't need or want. Lesson learned: Be careful ordering X-TAC from anyone online.
Good video. Had my mind blown today. I got a 500 round box of Win M855 FMJ 62gr 5.56 for $300. 0.60/rd! There was no 223 on the shelf. I was in a store 45 minutes away this weekend and they had 223 falling into the isles but the 5.56 was GONE. Go figure?!
I used to do a lot of online ordering. Lucky Gunner has always been great for online, however I work at a local store where I get Winchester 5.56 for 7 bucks a box of 20. I'll usually buy 2 to 3 boxes every time I work

Only problem I've ever had ordering ammo online over the years was a small blip with PSA and they made it right after I placed a respectful call. Great company I've done business with several times. I've ordered from Freedom munitions as well and no issue. 18 days is a bit long sure but not worth complaining about. If i needed ammo right away I'd go to the store. Maybe you're just an unlucky fella or maybe user error. I can't say but to speak to my own experiences.

With these times buy all you can I got around 7,000 rounds myself and I work some hours as well in hawaii we've got strict gun laws in order to shoot at the range we gotta make reservations online now guess how many people is trying to reserve their spot out of a million people and we only have one range that goes up to 100 yards lol it's a joke in hawaii.

I've been following @ToolsandTargets for a while now. My go to for gel tests. I like Brian and his videos are fun and informative. I hate ordering ammo online but some times that the only way to get what I want, especially in 10mm, 357, 40 S&W. God forbid I need 327 federal magnum. I see S&W is going to be releasing a new 32 HR magnum. I'm sure it will be about a grand for that.
Websites really need to knock it off with those grayed out/slashed prices from 2021 as if we're getting one heck of a deal. Driving up the price to a ludicrous amount then selling for _normal_ price has always ticked me off. Who are they fooling other than people who have *ZERO* knowledge about the hobby? I mean, don't we all have family or acquaintances who contact us about some things to get an opinion prior to purchase (to avoid rip-offs)? The wait times for ammo shipping can be ridiculous, too. I ordered High end 308 and got 39 rounds from Cabela's. . . For $160 you think you would get 40 rounds. . So they sent me another box of $80 308 composite cased white tip 7.62x51 , 168 grain.
I bought xtac, groups about 3 inches out of my usually sub moa rifle and have had more than a few that didn't go bang with good primer strikes. Anyone else have similar problems?
It’s always better to buy ammo from gun shops when you can. I also haven’t had the best luck with that m22. I’d say the federal auto match is better, at least in my experience.

It’s not hoarding, in the 15 years I have been shooting ammo has never gotten cheaper. It’s called saving money, ammo is not going down, and with the election year if you don’t buy now you will not be shooting this year. I’m just telling the truth, 762x39 used to be $180 a case when I started buying now $500, 223 was $350 last September then went to $480-550 a case, 9mm was .18 cents now .24-28 cents so I think buying as much as you can when you can is smart and not hoarding but everyone can think it will get cheaper but in the end you will just spend more money.
Buy all the ammo you need ammo belongs to those who buy it not the people staring at it online telling people not to hoard ammo. Keep buying and train when you can. You should have at least 10000 rounds for your rifles and 4000 to 5000 for your pistols about 1000 to 2000 rounds for your shotgun. I burn through 400 to 500 rounds every time at the range. Keep buying Keep training don't let anyone discourage you.

Up until Biden took office I was making monthly purchases. Being retired in a fixed income, I stopped when Bidenflation made my check each month smaller. I still buy a little but I don't work at a specific goal right now. I've never bought online guns or ammo, because this 1984 Regime is tracking guns and ammo purchases, so fot the last 45+ years, I've always paid cash (I've been paranoid about what's now happening for years).

Very odd I actually prefer buying ammo online bc of cheaper prices and I order 5.56, .308 and .45 auto in bulk just about every month sometimes every two weeks. Been doing it for around 2 years now and have never had this happen too me.

Driving up the price to a ludicrous amount then selling for _normal_ price has always ticked me off. Who are they fooling other than people who have *ZERO* knowledge about the hobby? I mean, don't we all have family or acquaintances who contact us about some things to get an opinion prior to purchase (to avoid rip-offs)?
The wait times for ammo shipping can be ridiculous, too. Some sites ship it in a day or two but others are notorious for being "... uh... we'll get around to it... whenever....".
I ordered High end 308 and got 39 rounds from Cabela's. . . For $160 you think you would get 40 rounds. . So they sent me another box of $80 308 composite cased white tip 7.62x51 , 168 grain.

I bought xtac, groups about 3 inches out of my usually sub moa rifle and have had more than a few that didn't go bang with good primer strikes.

It’s always better to buy ammo from gun shops when you can. I also haven’t had the best luck with that m22. I’d say the federal auto match is better, at least in my experience.

It’s not hoarding, in the 15 years I have been shooting ammo has never gotten cheaper. It’s called saving money, ammo is not going down, and with the election year if you don’t buy now you will not be shooting this year. I’m just telling the truth, 762x39 used to be $180 a case when I started buying now $500, 223 was $350 last September then went to $480-550 a case, 9mm was .18 cents now .24-28 cents so I think buying as much as you can when you can is smart and not hoarding but everyone can think it will get cheaper but in the end you will just spend more money.
