Yes he was. I’m old, and slowly getting rid of my stuff. When I go….I have to leave it all behind anyways. We come into the world with nothing…and we go out the same way.
My interest is the SAA Colts, I noticed instantly what's referred to the black powder frame guns, with the screw for the cylinder pin in front of the frame instead of spring-loaded cross pin. I've always wanted one, but they are out of my price range. It is an incredible find and incredible piece of history.
It was probably not that hard/expensive to collect these like 50,60 years ago... :) Who would want old war pistols after the war...they were literally everywhere.
What one person used to be able to collect* Collections like these just get broken down and sold. But hey, it’s better than the countless priceless firearms that the jackboot npcs have shredded over the years.
I know your channel is geared towards the 20th century military firearms, but I so would have loved to see more on the Colt Peacemaker's he had in his collection. Astonishing collection. I would have liked to hear more about who this collector was as well. I have no doubt he would have been a fascinating guy to talk to when he was alive.
As a firearms instructor I cringed at the handing of so many firearms in an unknown state. I saw muzzle sweeping in so many unsafe directions. Amazing find - glad to see the history preserved. Please remember: Treat all guns as if they are loaded. ... Keep the gun pointed in the safest possible direction. ... Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot. ... Know your target, its surroundings and beyond. ... Know how to properly operate your gun.

@@andypeterson8013EVERY gun should be considered loaded no matter what. Besides that they set a bad example for others by not clearing them on camera whether they did it before filming or not…just plain stupid!!
Just stumbled across this. What a collection. Particularly interested in the early 1911’s because I have one from 1915. The Colt historical certificate says it was manufactured and shipped to the Shapleigh Hardware Store in St Louis, Missouri, in 1915.
The tank round is an APFSDS. Armor piercing, fin stabilized, discarding sabot round. It looks like a 105mm and says it, which is what the early M-1's and M - 60's had. I was an M - 60A3 tanker .
And this is why gun collecting pays off. This guys collection probably quadrupled in value from the purchase dates. I'm sure it fared better than his 401K.

It's sad for us average guys income wise that really good quality Lugers have become very expensive! Back in the 90's you could buy a really nice Luger with holster for maybe a grand. Now that probably wouldn't put you on the Layaway plan with a good Gunbroker dealer! Back in the 90's I bought several really nice Lugers but had to sell them when I had a layoff from my job in 2008. It was a sad day when I let them go!
Very nice! I think though what goes by most people is that during the time frame this particular collector acquired, the firearms were plentiful and very reasonable in price. I'll surmise a WW II veterans. I had an uncle that was in WW II, Korea, and Vietnam. Quite a colorful career. Collection was at least five times greater than what was shown. Nonetheless, this was cool. And there are other large collections awaiting as time and contacts unfold.
Wow, didn’t expect that volume of collectible pistols! Take care of yourself and keep enjoying the hunt for years to come, always nice when you bring us along too!
Just love all the gun safety and mussel control. Really showing new people to guns, how you should handle guns. great job Rule number one. All guns are loaded. But holy what a collection of firearms WOW
You know you're excited about a collection when you pick up a pistol in an unknown state and point it at the cameraman with your finger on the trigger, right after talking about your hands shaking.
At one point, I thought I heard him say one gun was made by Westinghouse. Literally made a mile away from where I grew up in Swissvale, PA. In the same time frame. By a company that had to completely retool to make firearms.
I was a collector of firearms before. Actually had about 40+ different firearms at one point in my life but it's videos like these that made me rethink about life. The way I see it the guy probably really enjoyed firearms and probably collected them. But all they did was collect dust and ultimately sold for someone else to enjoy it way more than he did. I decided to slim down my collection to just 2 rifles and 2 pistols. I'm going to use my stuff heavily that way when I do pass away, the firearms will have been used heavily by me and hopefully funny stories and memories could be brought up about them that maybe my children will keep them rather than them being sold off because I collected them and they collected dust in some safe.
I'm a bit surprised by your willingness to handle so many firearms, many with their clip in and I didn't see anyone check to see if a single one is loaded. A couple times you even had your finger "against" the trigger not on it. But still. Sets a bad example in my opinion. Fantastic collection of many kinds of guns. Definitely a few I've never seen. Thanks for sharing but please be safe.
I am surprised by the many, many safety warriors on here! I am positive that every gun that was shown here was cleared long before you seen it! I guess that y’all had to comment something. If he had shown clearing every gun in this video it would have been many hours longer! Oh and by the way, those little clips you are talking about are magazines if you want to nit pick.
I was surprised guns stored in a garage were in that good of condition. I have heard never store a pistol in a leather holster. The leather absorbs moisture and in turn rusts the pistol. This may have been a heated garage. I have a collection no where as valuable as this collection. I included the combination to my safe in my will. I also included the combination in the instructions to my executor.

Yes he was. I’m old, and slowly getting rid of my stuff. When I go….I have to leave it all behind anyways. We come into the world with nothing…and we go out the same way.
To heck with that; im taking it ALL with me! Including the 3 or 4 concubines that will have to be slept before being tucked in beside me!!
I concur with your assessment
@@robertwilliamson922I would prefer to have people that would use and appreciate the gift, so I get to pick who gets them.
This is incredible
Just the safes are awesome.
The collection is out of this world.
Now that was an absolutely gorgeous collection . Never ever call the authorities for such finds..
Amazing what one person can collect over a lifetime.
If I had all the ones I've ever owned, there would be a lot more safes than that to go thru.
I love Horders
It was probably not that hard/expensive to collect these like 50,60 years ago... :) Who would want old war pistols after the war...they were literally everywhere.
What one person used to be able to collect*
Collections like these just get broken down and sold.
I second that, I've been growing a fondness for the 1873 SAA's (clones) myself!
@@freddobbs4437 Ditto.
Wow..extravagant collection!!!
Wow tat is pretty cool video
Those P38s made me drool. The amount of Lugers were unreal! Wow!
@user-dn2kh4fn8sI have a gif for you, but utube doesn't allow insertion.
Now that was an absolutely gorgeous collection . Astounding find. Thank you for showing us this impressive collection!.
This is my first video. And i already love u. I wish i knew u we would have so much fun together! So many cool guns thats insane. And i love how excited you get! Id be smiling ear to ear! LOL
Simply amazing collection and wow this guy knows his guns!!!!
He had a fantastic collection. What a Find Tom.
Now that was an absolutely gorgeous collection 👍🏼
Wow! What a superb collection.
Super cool. But, were all the firearms checked to see if they were loaded? Especially that grey plastic box at the beginning. Hopefully so. Crazy find for sure.
I still consider it scary when we handle the weapons without checking their loaded-ness ...
@tophatanimation8748 We are assuming this is their first time actually opening and going through this stuff. Very likely they already went through it and staged/acted oute verything. Is the find real ? Probably...... I am going to assume this is the case because if not someone needs to smack them hard cuz...safety issues here abound.
Noticed that, UNSAFE
@@charlesstipes3726 Really? Why would a collector load a collectable gun?
@@andypeterson8013just rule #1. Should have stated up front they cleared every weapon, if they did, before filming. Complacency kills
@@andypeterson8013EVERY gun should be considered loaded no matter what. Besides that they set a bad example for others by not clearing them on camera whether they did it before filming or not…just plain stupid!!
What a fantastic collection!!! Outstanding,
Someday, it would be fun to watch you show off the contents of you gun vaults.
Man I love those colt army revolvers
Just stumbled across this. What a collection. Particularly interested in the early 1911’s because I have one from 1915. The Colt historical certificate says it was manufactured and shipped to the Shapleigh Hardware Store in St Louis, Missouri, in 1915.
The tank round is an APFSDS. Armor piercing, fin stabilized, discarding sabot round. It looks like a 105mm and says it, which is what the early M-1's and M - 60's had. I was an M - 60A3 tanker .
Astounding find. Thank you for showing us this impressive collection!
Really it looks like every gun he showed us in the past 5 years 🤔
Wonderful collection, wich took a lot of time and effort of a enthusiast . Now the family isn't concerned about. So sad...
But almost all of these will be returned to the wild, for other collectors to enjoy. And, they're about to be phat paid for this collection.
@@g54b95True, a lot better of fate then them ending up at a police gun “buyback”.
why should they stay with people who don't appreciate them?
And this is why gun collecting pays off. This guys collection probably quadrupled in value from the purchase dates. I'm sure it fared better than his 401K.
Didn't take it with him.
Prolly better than gold.
Didn't pay off for him, just sold off.
Breaks my heart when someone works this hard to build a collection then dies with no one interested In inheriting it.
Great show and thanks for the info 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😊😊👏👏👏👏👏👏
Absolutely loved watching this. Living in the UK, where handguns are banned, I was simply overawed by the number and quality of the guns on display. To say I'm green with envy would be an understatement! 😫
Yeah, being from Canada most of these guns would be consigned to the shredder. It's a real shame.
Couldn't agree more.
and now starting on shotguns😭
@@AndyAndy-bg7mv
They (UK government) tried to merge the Shotgun and FAC but decided against it. For now anyway.
Your main concern is is your SC renewals are dropped to 3 years.
hand guns are not banned in the uk
I want a luger so badly beautiful collection shame the family doesnt wanna keep them
There are some cool non operational pieces out there. My dad has one that doesn't fire but you can play with the magazine and the toggle lock, I can't remember if the trigger clicks or not tho.
@@kickit59 Been there.
Buy one that he is offering. His prices seem lower than gunbroker.
Awesome finds enjoyed it very much thanks 😊
Love the Luger cut-away and the experimental PP
21:06 the Colt SAA is loaded
yes, looked that way to me too. I hope off camera he checked them all (but maybe he missed this one?)
Hopefully it was dummy rounds but judging how he ripped into that plastic bin at the beginning I doubt he even checked any of the chambers.
We checked. They were dummy rounds. We found no live rounds and yes. We checked every gun
I agree. It looked loaded to me too. You think he would have caught that. I guess he missed it because of all the dollar $$$ signs in his eyes.
They were dummy rounds. But should have clarified that all guns were checked
Good to see gloves come on around 8:00 min in, I wear gloves when I handle guns (mine or other people's)
Absolutely amazing collection- glad they were not destroyed
I'm loving some of the holster, and the broom handle!
That naval Luger is absolutely gorgeous.
Awesome collection of pistols... Wow! As a collector myself, this collection is worth a lot of money to say the least!
Just love all the gun safety and mussel control. Really showing new people to guns, how you should handle guns. great job Rule number one. All guns are loaded. But holy what a collection of firearms WOW
OMG... thats like a dream come true... What condition these guns are in!! drooling
Love how he picks up the pistols and just points them in his face and the cameraman's face without checking them. Darwin was on vacation today.
Beautiful collection.
Was this actually filmed "real time"? I only ask because I'm surprised you didn't check to assure the chambers were empty.
You know you're excited about a collection when you pick up a pistol in an unknown state and point it at the cameraman with your finger on the trigger, right after talking about your hands shaking.
yeah, was thinking the same, first move, point in safe direction and clear..
I also noted the lack of muzzle control and trigger finger discipline.
He pointed 75% of the guns directly at his own head.
No. This was staged.
Die Leichtmetall verchromte PPK will nach Hause zu mir. Great collection! Fun to watch! Greetings from Germany!
I’m curious if they did a consignment or if they did a bulk buy? Tons of value there for sure!
Great collection... amazing! But I was surprised not to see a Browning Hi-Power considering the collectors taste.
Thanks for sharing but please be safe.
ya he shot himself in the butt.loosen up boy
I am surprised by the many, many safety warriors on here! I am positive that every gun that was shown here was cleared long before you seen it! I guess that y’all had to comment something. If he had shown clearing every gun in this video it would have been many hours longer! Oh and by the way, those little clips you are talking about are magazines if you want to nit pick.
Magazine, not "clip."
Him pointing the barrel of those guns at people so many times caused me a lot of anxiety!!
Sooooooo jealous!🎉
OMG....thank you for sharing... awesome
Some of my safes are in my garage, and yes, the safes are "climate" controlled.
Some people have those heating rods inside their safe to prevent humidity build up
