My man, thank you a bunch for going straight to the point. You really helped using my Keylab MKII as a midi controller in Reaper. This video is gold for me.
I'm a life long Cakewalk user. Never really got into using the controllers as they're capable of. I have an Arturia Keylab 49 Mk2 and now getting into it's functions. I followed your instructions and got the basics running. But I would like to learn how to use it in User mode.
Hi,once again I come to your channel for Cakewalk issues.I am so glad for this channell and all your hard work.Im looking for a new keyboard.and it looks like this is the only keyboard where you can get just about all the functions like ,stop, start, record, undo, save, faders, panning etc.I have an old Yamaha Psr 510 which does not appear on my instruments output, even when I select gen midi cant get multiple kontact7 outputs.Have to do it each time for different track.I am hoping that a newer keyboard will show up like in this video and the other issues should disappear.looks like I will have to go for MK2 over MK 3 as my audio interface only has midi in and out which MK 3 does not have.I have always used NI Komplete but as good as Komplete Kontrol is ,its useless with Cakewalk.I dont know how effective it will be using Komplete!
Very helpfull video mate. I am trying to set a cakewalk project where I can switch live the banks to change synth sounds on my arturia keyboard midi controller without having to open the VST. So the solution as I think it is to use multiple tracks, with the instrument ready that I want to play on each track independently. Switching will be via the pad controllers on my midi keyboard, then just clicking the pad would change the active track on cakewalk, and playing on the keyboard would change the sound effectively. Problem is: How I can link track switching by midi input on Cakewalk? Thanks a lot!
I appreciate your informative videos XEL, I have learned a lot, and I would like to know if you could help me with a problem I have encountered with Keylab setup with Cakewalk. I have followed the instructions exactly, I believe, but I still have no sound on the keyboard. When Analog Lab V comes up, I can use the mouse on the on-screen keyboard and have sound, but not on the physical keyboard. I think there is some setting in the Midi controller or Analog Lab V that I must have overlooked. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Gary
I am thinking of Arturia Keylab essential 61 .It only has midi output. Will I be able to use Kontak and other virtual inst. that are not Arturia linked?
I checked out your arturia keylab Essential 49 MK3.You were having difficulties getting integration with controls eyc especially after the new upgrade. However on this Keylab 61 MK2 Ultimate(A$769.00) you were able to get everything to work.Does this still apply after the new upgrade. If so then it would be better to go with unfortunately the more expensive MK2(A$399.00).Any assistance would be welcomed.
Yes you can... I have a section in the video showing how to set it up in Reaper... You don't need midi on your interface to use the keyboard... Just use a USB port on the computer.. hope this helps..😀🙏🏾

I own an Arturia MiniLab2 and a KORG NanoKontrol2. Maybe I will use your brilliant hints for these. ThxAloT
If they have Mackie support it should at least work for the transport controls... Thanks for the comment...😀🙏🏾
