Good video. Here is another one in a million to add from 1985: In overtime the Broncos blocked a Chargers field goal attempt, but a coach called timeout right before the snap. After the timeout, the Broncos blocked the field goal attempt AGAIN and returned the blocked field goal for the game winning TD.

The call was actually made by NFL headquarters. They did a frame by frame analysis of the play and made the call by phone. The reasoning goes, on the replay the receiver touched the ball first. That gives him assumed possession. He doesn’t have to maintain control, only contact. His feet hit the ground. Touchdown. The ball is then stripped but it’s a dead ball. If the defender had batted the ball away and it hit the ground the receiver would have to maintain control, not contact. The correct response was to bat the ball into the ground. The Seahawks didn’t win the game so much as the defense lost it by doing the wrong thing. NFL headquarters felt that they needed to explain the rules and the call.

Nice to finish with The Immaculate Reception. I grew up in Northern California and was rooting for the Raiders. For some reason I didn't see that on TV but was listening to the radio call. It was a punch in the gut for a Steeler-hating kid... The series of three angles, none conclusive by contemporary standards, makes it pretty clear that it was a legit catch.
You think YOU had it bad??? :-) I was on vacation at my sister's at the time. Huge Raider fan. Watched the game with my brother-in-law, who grew up in Pittsburgh. I was so excited that the Raiders might win and go the championship game. I can't tell you how sour it was watching that play, trying to believe it really didn't happen. I relive that moment every time I see that play!!! :-)
15:50 that was a hell of a catch and spin move! And we gotta say #54 for the bears did a lotta work on that play too! Made the first key block AND the last key block! hahah
10:43 Tyreek Hill not only has speed, moves, hands but very intelligent . after the catch he slows down to survey whats in front of him and waits for his blockers to come forward
Ya not only did he score but he wasn't even touched! As a Broncos fan I was thankful to see him leave the division this year, although they got a hell of a lot in return. Looking at it a second time people don't give number 14 credit for the amazing blocking he did. He took out two guys easily
I really dont think this is a 1 in a million. A good play, sure. But if you put a great runner in an open field with 3 blockers theres a decent chance he's gunna break a play off. I would bet he makes that play better than 1 in 50 times.
This is a great mashup! Here are some of my favorites in this genre: 1) Antonio Cromartie with the 109 yard missed FG return against the Vikings 2) Any of Aaron Rodgers' Hail Mary passes, but the Richard Rodgers catch was the best 3) James Harrison 99 yard pick 6 in the Super Bowl 4) Marlon McCree intercepts Brady, then fumbles :-(
That Hail Mary against Detroit was a thing of beauty, and I'm not even a Packers fan. I would add the following: Max McGee - the first person to score in the first Super Bowl, and he did it one handed. I think the one handed catches by Beckham and Tyree (with the help of his helmet), Cobb's 108 yd kickoff return for a TD (I know Patterson just beat it by a yard against the Packers, ironically), but the original belongs in the video, the Boykin TD against the Bears when everyone thought the Rodgers fumble was a dead ball, the winning TD in the Ice Bowl because of the weather conditions, Roethlisberger tackling Harper to prevent a TD, Larry Wilson's one handed interception for a 91 yd TD, The Refrigerator rushing for a 1 yd TD in the Super Bowl, Favre passes to himself then runs in for a TD, Randall Cunningham has some highlights, the Bears 1985 season, Marino fake spike for TD and win against the Jets, the 1972 Dolphins season, Riggins 43 yd TD for a Super Bowl win, Lynn Swann's 53 yd catch and his Super Bowl X performance, Clark's catch in the '81 NFC Championship game to beat the Cowboys (boo), Freeman's catch, Edelman's catch, and of course, the Immaculate Reception. RiP Franco Harris. There are so many incredible plays that deserve to be recognized, that it would be at least a two hour video. Someone would almost have to make one for each team. Even the "worst" teams that have no Super Bowl wins (Vikings come to mind) have some truly great players and plays. They just choke when the pressure is on. I don't understand the decision to perform a lateral pass when all you need are the extra yards. Take the hit, and then start another play from there. One team's great play, is another team's worst day. I think their salary helps them get over it, though.
Wow, what a totally awesome upload. And NOT CLICKBAIT. I was wonder about 6:35, the Fourcade return of fumble after interception, particularly #20 or #30 screaming down the field to block for him at the end. The best I could come up with was #30 Vincent Alexander on the 1987 Saints. Anyone know? Look at that screaming run just to block. BTW that play was CALLED BACK, and NOT a TD because of a penalty on the play. Highlight films like to omit that detail.
16:00 look at #54 I believe it’s Brian Urlacher He blocked 2 or more people and also caught/ out ran the returner to get the last block! Whoever that is, Damn
Urlacher was a freak. Urlacher used to also control the opponents oline, would take the entire line with Urlacher to use them to block out the running back from running anywhere. If the runningback would go to the side then Urlacher would take the oline to the side to block the runningback until a defensive player would make a tackle. Those kinds of plays that don't show up in the stat sheet, but make Urlacher one of the greatest middle linebackers of all time.

Good call keeping The Immaculate Reception for last. It will be hard to top as #1 all-time fluke play, not only because the play itself is ridiculous, but also because that catch pretty much began nearly a decade of Steelers dominance. And before that play, the Steelers had been terrible since the 30's. The play completely changed the trajectory of the entire franchise for the next 50 years.
Interesting enough when played in .25x speed it actually looks like the ball really does hit franky fuqua's hands (slight movement from left to right) before being jettisoned by jack tatum's pads in a right to left trajectory
Amazing to think that 2 of the most iconic plays in NFL history (including THE most iconic play, the Immaculate Reception) occurred in the same post-season.
Imagine scoring the way New Orleans did with no seconds left, only to have their kicker miss the game tying extra point! If “aint that some bulls-t” was a person. Also Mike Brown returning two pick sixes two weeks apart in two consecutive overtime periods is probably the most coincidental thing that can happen.

Orlovsky not realizing he ran out of the back of the endzone is classic Lions!

The butt fumble gets me everytime
I know. How pathetic 😂😅😂
It’s Bring me back Memories
This is a great mashup! Here are some of my favorites in this genre:
1) Antonio Cromartie with the 109 yard missed FG return against the Vikings
2) Any of Aaron Rodgers' Hail Mary passes, but the Richard Rodgers catch was the best
3) James Harrison 99 yard pick 6 in the Super Bowl
4) Marlon McCree intercepts Brady, then fumbles :-(
That Hail Mary against Detroit was a thing of beauty, and I'm not even a Packers fan.
Can’t wait to see some NFL action in 2022!
BTW, apparently lazy slougher #36 on the Rams, giving up so easily, might be DB Kirby Jackson.
The butt fumble will be in football lore forever.
So much amazing play
Everyone loves it when the big guy runs
16:00 look at #54 I believe it’s Brian Urlacher
He blocked 2 or more people and also caught/ out ran the returner to get the last block!
That patriots run back is always epic ! 😆
@Jason O'Daniel 😆 🤣 😂 😹 😆 🤣 😂 😹 😆 🤣 😂 I had no idea lol
Earl Campbell Hulked out of his jersey. Beautiful!!!😳
This is one of the best NFL compilation videos out there. Seriously, well done!
Pick up your cross and follow Jesus! The world is quickly headed for destruction, and sooner or later you will have to sit at the judgement seat and give an account for your actions. Belief in messiah alone is not enough to grant you salvation - Matthew 7:21-23, John 3:3, John 3:36 (ESV is the best translation for John 3:36). Call on the name of Jesus and pray for Him to intervene in your life! - Revelation 3:20.
Contemplate how the Roman Empire fulfilled the role of the beast from the sea in Revelation 13. Revelation 17 confirms that it is in fact Rome. From this we can conclude that A) Jesus is the Son of God and can predict the future or make it happen, B) The world leaders/nations/governments etc have been conspiring together for the last 3000+ years going back to Babylon and before, C) History as we know it is fake. You don't really need to speculate once you start a relationship with God tho.
Can't get a response from God? Fasting can help increase your perception and prayer can help initiate events. God will ignore you if your prayer does not align with His purpose (James 4:3) or if you are approaching Him when "unclean" (Isaiah 1:15, Isaiah 59:2, Micah 3:4). Stop eating food sacrificed to idols (McDonald's, Wendy's etc) stop glorifying yourself on social media or making other images of yourself (Second Commandment), stop gossiping about other people, stop watching obscene content etc and you should get a response. Have a blessed day!
5:00 that’s the best catch I’ve never seen before
It happened this season lol.
@@telamon1071 that explains it, didn’t watch much football last year
I think 7:50 is better
Odell catch is the best I ever seen.
5:26 that was also back to back weeks as well
And the Bears were still down 21-7 with like 35 seconds left
8:17 was the most suspenseful moment of my life
13:47 that's Pretty Good
Just two friends going for a jog
The titans' "lateral" against the bills was definitely a forward pass, thrown from the 24 and caught at the 25 or 26.
-pats fan
It really was, though.
Oh the Butt Fumble never gets old
I’ve not watched the nfl in some time… just life… but seeing these old clips… makes me miss watching.
The drop-kick field goal maybe a "1 in the million" play these days but it used to be fairly common in the early days of football.
True but that was the first time it happened since then
That David tyree catch was one hell of a catch
21:11 the idea of cars on the field is insane lmao
The parking lot was full
The "one in a million" part during that Patriots drop kick was Bill Belichick smiling
That fieldgoal that hit behind the uprights went through...it bounced back. Watch at 2:30!
Nevermind...didn't know they would fix it in the next part!!🤣🤣🤣 Ruled good.
I actually got chills watching this
Lmaoooo @ #33 trying to put the refs arm down like that would stop it from being a touchdown 21:32 😂😂😂
Surprised James Harrisons pick-6 in a superbowl wasnt included. NO ONE expected that guy to run 100 yards on a goal line pick lol
0:33 he was tackled by his own teammate
@ Solomon adjei: He was trying to keep him from coming out of the end zone for better field position
Finally a comment on that play… OMG THAT WAS ONE OF THE WORSE PLAYS EVER DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was kinda wondering that also, I figured it was for him to stay in the end zone and to reset at the 20...but damn some bad luck there!
THE ORIGINAL DOUBLE DOINK!!
13:49 Someone made a video about Bonos TD and I believe it had to do with how much distance He had between himself and the closest defender on a TD play. It was the most wide open TD play in NFL history if I'm not mistaken.
Edit: SB Nation Channel (Jon Bois)
Just checked and they have changed their name to Secret Base.
That would be SB Nation’s Jon Bois. He’s a legend among internet sports content creators
@@datsko6339 Thanks for the info!
What datsko is trying to say is, we know.
Jon Bois: “We bring this up because it is crucial to appreciate what Bono accomplished on October 17th, 1995 at approximately 1:30 in the afternoon!”
I saw Bill smile! I can’t believe it
This was a great video with a ton of rare clips. If you ever do a part two or an updated version I would love to see the Larry Allen chasedown play and/or the DK Metcalf chase down on Budda Baker.
Some of most iconic moments in football history. The “Immaculate Reception,” the lateral to Tony Nathan in the Dolphins-Chargers classic, Julian Edelman’s improbable catch to help the Pats come from behind . . . just so many!
That helmet catch by Ward is amazing 5:04
sec legend
The Bills deserve a Super Bowl after that clear no-call on a forward lateral against the Titans
12:07 One of my ALL TIME favorite plays EVER
same, and i am a raiders fan. Boy andrew Luck was the fucking truth, if they could have just given him a bit more help
I'm not even a big football fan but watching these guys pull off these incredible plays is still amazing to me
@Jason O'Daniel bruh you are talking to the wrong dude, I don't watch football on a regular basis, I just happen to randomly click on this video. If you want to bitch at someone bitch at the people who watch football religiously and play fantasy leagues and shit like that. Also I can smoke weed and wtach youtube at the same time, you should try it, might make you less intense and you might reply to less months old comments
I love NFL Throwback!
war eagle 🦅 Auburn
26:00 with the underhand spiral was probably my favorite
1:57 Love it when the announcers lose their minds!
That onside punt was actually a good idea lol
Great plays! Surprised the one where Randy Moss laterals it behind his back to Moe Williams didn't make this video
That would be one of my picks.
That one may be Moss' skill and not 1 in a million though.
It was amazing though
One of the few videos that make the Bears look like a good team
Good call keeping The Immaculate Reception for last. It will be hard to top as #1 all-time fluke play, not only because the play itself is ridiculous, but also because that catch pretty much began nearly a decade of Steelers dominance. And before that play, the Steelers had been terrible since the 30's. The play completely changed the trajectory of the entire franchise for the next 50 years.
@ WP SN
If I remember correctly, that was the game winning td in that playoff match up
Interesting enough when played in .25x speed it actually looks like the ball really does hit franky fuqua's hands (slight movement from left to right) before being jettisoned by jack tatum's pads in a right to left trajectory
The compilation ends, fittingly with one of the most iconic endings in NFL history...The Immaculate Deception....today is April 18, 2022...90 days until QB's report to summer camp...can't wait.
Robert Meachem being the focal point of 2 if these plays is pretty impressive.. shall I say ''1 in a million"... 😃
Meacham is 2 in a million...lol.
This is why football is amazing!
I can't believe John Carney ever kicked again after missing that extra point. I would have been destroyed mentally.
3:56… it makes me smile when Al says “whatrthey gonna rule?! He caught it?!”
6:20 still gives me chills
Football is just so awesome
The Miami Wake escape! #91 🐬🆙
That was such a fun game to be at!! Halloween night
These were phenomenal!

*Why Is No One Talking About How He Tackled His Own Teammate?*
Seriously lol
Dude I scrolled so far in the comments to see this. I don't really watch football and since nobody was talking about it I thought I must be missing something lmao
I'd have slapped that mf as soon as we hit the locker room

Gus Johnson is one of my favorite play by play announcers of all time. He always gets so excited
Gus Johnson, Jim nantz, boomer, Al Michaels, and Kevin Harlan and Mike breen
Some of the greats
I still remember when Franco Harris made the “Immaculate Reception”
I love the drop kick!
8:37 Two future HOFers involved in that play. Neither got in as players.
That Saints lateral (River City Relay) will forever be iconic for 2 reasons:
1. It was an amazing, nearly perfect play
2. Carnie missing the extra point to lose it
I hadn’t even started watching football yet, but as a Saints fan this play both still amazes and haunts me. Pretty much sums up the Saints… 🙃
2009 SB champion Saints
And the "NOOO!" is iconic too, literal pain in that
The plays @ 8:55 ( Tom Landry ; Dallas)and 9:55 Herman Edwards ; Jets and Chiefs)are both from future hall of fame COACHES!
8:38 The Ole’ Stolen Ball Trick
9:51 Miracle in the Meadowlands (First of Three)
“WHAT ARE THEY GONNA RULE IT? A TOUCHDOWN?!”
Lmaoook So iconic of a line!!
