This episode actually marks the first time Carl is shown killing living people. That is why Hershel was so concern about his mental state of mind 😮

I love when Rick looks up at the bridge at the end and doesn’t see Lori (where he previously saw her) Lori always appeared when he was making the wrong decision such as kicking out Tyreese’s group and gathering the wire to tie up Michonne and deliver her to the Governor.
He is making the right decision by letting the citizens of Woodbury live in the prison and he doesn’t see Lori appear this time I love that.

Andrea wasn’t originally supposed to die She was supposed to save the people of Woodbury on horseback and bring them to the prison It was a last minute decision that got the showrunner Glenn Mazzara fired he didn’t even read the comics Really wish the actors writers and everybody involved would’ve had the gut to tell him the decision was wrong Even Robert Kirkman TWD creator Executive Producer and the writer of the original comics absolutely hated the decision.

Although I wasn’t a fan of Andrea, watching the series again so many times; she absolutely had a lot of potential! She was a badass, but the way they wrote her character was HORRIBLE! I wish she would’ve stayed the first time she went back to the prison. That would’ve been fire! She had a great heart, and Dale really was a part of her. Smh, makes me wanna read the comics lol. I’ve read a few but never finished them.

Now that this is ended, it's a interesting fact to tell you that Andrea lived a lot longer in the comics. Can't say more as it could be a spoiler. Yet also apparently Andrea's death in this episode came as a surprise. Originally she was supposed to survive and then take over leading Woodbury. But three weeks before filming they changed it. Not sure why.

    • @IreZico

They do that a lot, the writers have this little habit of killing certain characters off too soon for them to fulfill their narrative or thematic purpose, and screw the actor over a bit while doing so, one of my biggest complaints with the show and showrunners, which is a shame cause there’s so much good in this show

I still miss Andrea she was never meant to die in the finale the showrunner Glenn Mazzara who obviously didn’t know what to do with her just decided to kill her off for shock value which I thought was a dumb idea I was happy they fired him for that the actress Laurie Holden admitted that she hated how they wrote her character in Season 3 plus she admitted what happened with Andrea’s death behind the scenes she is still alive in the comics at this point and Andrea and Rick end up together in the comics Andrea was originally gonna make it to Season 8 but sadly what happened behind the scenes towards the end of this Season prevented that from happening today I still think killing her off was an awful decision and still to this day I still miss Andrea.

Book v show: In the books, the governor gets michone in that room. He uses the wall chains... ... and... does what he threatened to do to maggie... multiple times. - locked glenn in the next cell over and made him listen. -- book governor was so much darker than show governor.
After michone escapes, she takes his eye, his arm, and... mutilated his... junk. Which he survived.
Book governor didn't have a daughter. His brother did. ... ... and... she became a walker... ... and... htf do I say this in a youtube safe way?... he... got up close and personal in all the wrong ways with her (think dark... think michone...).
Book governor cut off Rick's hand, for not telling him where the prison was. --- they didn't want to cgi Rick's hand, so they took meryl's (who wasn't in the books - daryl either) instead.
Andrea doesn't die. In the books, she makes it to damn near the end. In the books, she's still currently together with Dale (who also isn't dead). - she eventually gets together with Rick in the books.
There's a couple more bits... but we need a few more episodes first. 😊

    Fun fact:
Laurie Holden was contracted for 8 years on the show. She stated
"Well I had an 8-year deal, I was supposed to be there until the end. I was supposed to end up with Rick. I was supposed to save Woodbury on a horse, and I was buying a house in Atlanta,"
The original ending of this episode was Andrea being the leader of woodbury. However showrunners were going back and forth for a long time on her characters fate. Laurie holden and Glen Mazzara were also not fans of each other and he pushed for her to be killed off. (He was fired end of the season aswell)
Laurie found out less than a week before the episode was to be filmed and when the changes were made that she would be getting written/ killed off.
She also called the Andrea and The Governor’s Storyline “Utter Nonsense”
And in the end she was gutted to leave the show early on.

No...she was NEVER given an 8 yr contract. She WANTED an 8 yr contract, AND she wanted to be Rick's love interest because in the comics, Andrea was. Laurie Holden was said to be demanding, and hard to work with so Andrea was killed off and Holden was a bitter witch about it. Could anyone imagine Andrea and Rick togeather in the show??? Hell no..AMC couldn't either.

    • @IreZico
      @IreZico 11 місяців тому +3

@@cindyspangler3982 and where did you get all that from huh? She didnt WANT, SHE GOT. The same way others would have like Andrew Lincoln.
Sarah Wayne Callies for example had a contract but begged for lori to be killed off to set up a Story for Rick.
Not one thing i seen online or from any cast and crew on that show that leaked or said she was an awful person. Not one person was saying how demanding she was. Total opposite. The character coulda been better but its not her fault its the writers.
Nope she was going to be the love interest in the show aswell. But plans changed. And melissa mcbride was meant to be killed off early in season 3 but that changed and her contract extended. Did laurie hate the way her character was written in season 3? Yes she hated the way her character was in s3 and rightfully so but she was certainly not hard to work with or gave any reason for amc wanting rid of her. AMC had no input in that decision. How long have you been a fan of the show? Everything you are saying just is all wrong 😂 literally. Do some research. Hello 👋
    Another awesome video, 👍👍
My only ‘what the h***’ moment was why Andrea kept stopping, had she kept going she could have gotten free, I believe the first time seeing this episode, I yelled at her the whole time, 😏😇😁
My opinion on Lori’s “ghost“ is that she is his conscience leading him to the right decisions, the first time he sees her image in the prison was when Tyreese, Sasha, Alan & Ben were there, Alan & Ben turned out to be bad, he next sees her and is lured outside the fences for when the Guv’na shows up and is there for when Daryl gets back and they save him, which I think Daryl needed to help him know he made the right choice to come back, then he sees her when he is trying to come to terms with what he’s doing by choosing to take Michonne to the Guv’na, which is when he changes his mind and decides he can not do it, and finally, he sees her before going to finish the Guv’na, but he does not see her after saving the rest of Woodbury’s people and allowing them to become a part of our group, because he chose good and is finally finding some peace since losing her, 👍😀👍
I can see Carl’s point sorta, he could be justified slightly because when the boy was told to drop his gun, he did not, so it could be argued that the boy was trying to be sneaky when he said here and held the gun off towards his side instead of handing it straight forward towards Hershel or Carl, even though the best choice would have been to toss it away from himself, like he had been instructed, 😏👍
Have a safe and wonderful rest of your weekend, 👋😀👋

Yeah, Governor seemed like a really sweet guy at first, didn't he? Too bad and great he turned out to be the freaking psychopath.
I wish too Andrea was written differently in season 3. She had every opportunity to be more interesting and all of that was wasted for to be Governor's meat.
Not only that killed her development potential and made her death anticlimactic, but that also was a disrespect to Amy and Dale's deaths. At least her thinking everything through after Dale's passing would've been interesting. And the way she apologized to Michonne feels kinda fake considering she clearly showed hatred to her savior. And now the group has to deal with more dead weight since Woordbury folks hardly would help with everything other than gardening.
Overall, a great season and a big step over season 2. A good timing to show balance of danger from both Walkers and people

Unpopular opinion: I was so happy to see Andrea finally go. She was super annoying and made nothing but bad decisions. She was shitty to Dale, who saw her like a daughter, she was extra shitty to Michonne, who saw her as her best friend/sister. She was so gullible and blind to the truth, even after she discovered the heads in the governors office which showed his true nature. She believed some booty call more than her best friends and companion. And even when she finally had the chance to end it all she wouldn't do it because somehow she was still thinking there could be a diplomatic solution so that she can keep her friends and her man. I didn't like her character at all and I'm glad she's gone.
