The group is more focussed because they all trust Rick, and they are grateful that he got rid of Shane. Shane could never get away with this as a leader because nobody trusted him. Rick already showed that he isn't in it for power, and he won't stab anyone in the back. Whereas Shane was obviously a little insane, and everyone knew he would betray everyone at some point. A good point of reference is the fact that Daryl didn't like Shane, even though Daryl knew Shane way longer than Rick. Daryl knows what an abusive asshole looks like, because he grew up with Merle. Blessings to Rob and his family

If they had written her closer to the comics I think she could have been a fan favorite but I do not like what the show did with her.

I tried imagining someone else like Maisie Williams, Mille Bobbie Brown, or even Jennifer Lawrence having the same dialogue, and scenes given to Laurie Holden to work with & I can't imagine them f'k'g it up enough for me to hate the character of Andrea.

loving the reactions but PLEASE either increase the show volume or reduce your mic volume or both. On order to barely hear the show audio I have to turn the volume so high that your voices are too loud, and deafening when you shout which you do a lot. I dont want to stop watching your reactions but the problem has been getting worse instead of better lately.
reasoning could be to keep show volume low so their videos stop getting blocked. think they said episode 11 of season 2 was just blocked the other day.
They should enable subtitles, that way even if the audio is shit we know what they're reacting to.
Those inmates have just been chilling in that room for months then the first contact with people they get is that. Always makes me laugh😂

This is the season shit gets going. Things that drive them the rest of the series. Also like sighhh prepare for heartbreak
Maybe it sounds weird, but I didn't mind Rick telling Shane he can't make calls anymore. Shane was a danger to the group and he was seeing that. Like was mentioned, they're not really broken anymore. They're focused, yeah. They have one core leader and that was a big problem before. They didn't have one person to hold them all together. There was too much back and forth with Rick and Shane, and I feel like that's why Daryl just stayed out of it. He didn't want any part of it, and now he's so active in handling stuff with the group. The group isn't acting ready to implode at any moment.
"I hope Hershel dies of old age". I'm so glad you guys are starting to warm up to and like the newer characters. It was hard to tell before where you really stood with a lot of the characters.
I agree I think it's best to keep pushing once you've started and gotten somewhere. Rick probably thinks if they relax now that they won't have that same momentum later, which could be true and also not true that they would/wouldn't, but he's got a point. Plus, in their situation, like... I'd want to just do it and have it done. If they found a potential place to stay, I wouldn't want to hold off on safety.
I'M SO DISAPPOINTED YOU GUYS TALKED OVER THE MOST DEFINING SCENE IN THE ENTIRE SERIES. "I'm doin' stuff, Lori. /Thangs/." BIG DISAPPOINT. Can't believe it.
Lori's not mad at Rick anymore BECAUSE she realized her mistakes. She knows she was wrong. The way I understand her behavior right now is that she's not blaming him for being mad and she'll still stick by his decisions even if there's distance. Still, you have to consider that even though "last episode" she was mad and all, she's about ready to give birth in THIS episode. That means (and it'll be explained later too) that it's been a good eight/nine months. The emotions of last episode are pretty much gone for everyone. They've all moved on from whatever emotions they had in those moments. There's a long span of time that we don't know how interactions with anyone went, so chances are in that time Lori realized her mistakes and wanted to make it up to Rick, but Rick wasn't about to keep dragging those topics on. He's trying to focus on protecting a LOT of people as a leader, and I don't think he wants to deal with this love triangle business anymore. It's something he seems to have moved on from and is just focused mostly on surviving with everyone.
A big thing about the ending of last episode too is that even if Lori was what put him over the edge to say everything he said, I think all of that REALLY needed to be said. Daryl was right. The group was broken. Someone needed to really put their foot down in that situation, so regardless of the reasons why he did it, I think Rick was right to do it. Like you guys mentioned, they were all having side conversations /and doubting Rick's leadership./ They needed to know he was serious about this, and like he said, they could just get up and leave if they didn't like it. Nobody left. Nobody felt they could make it on their own. Having Daryl's approval imo was the most important part of all of that. Daryl has known how to survive since long before the apocalypse. Rick basically has the approval of a REAL survivor. That's something Shane never had from Daryl. It's the idea that someone who knows what they're doing is approving of someone else's decision in the field in which they're so knowledgeable about. It might have been a lot of stress and whatnot that led Rick to finally come out with all that, but imo it was DEFINITELY something that needed to be done or they never would've made it almost another year with the group having so much tension and doubt.
Also man if I don't love how Carol gives Rick all this attitude even though she's done absolutely NOTHING for this group. She's done less than Lori. Like, I know you guys were talking about how Lori didn't do anything last season, but yikes. Carol is no better. She gives him all this shit and HAS been since the beginning of S2 and does nothing for anyone.
And before anyone reading this comment starts loading up on spoilers, please don't. I only talk in the comments about the current episode RT TV is on and anything before said episode. Please do NOT bring up anything else. I'll comment on stuff as they get to it anyway, but I really don't know if they even read their comments, and if they do, or if they do once in a while, I'd rather it not be "but xyz happens!" that they happen upon.
I know y'all seemed to be kind of doubting Rick last season sometimes, so it's refreshing to see y'all defending him. Poor man's doing his best.
Leaf, I have been a fan of TWD since the very beginning, and I agree with everything you said. I love the fact that you point out that Rick had Daryl's approval which will be very important for the safety of the group in the future.

This is the best most in-depth comment I've seen on any Walking Dead reaction and I have seen many.
I would also like to point out that in a flashback Lori was complaining to her friend that when her and Rick had an argument that morning she could not stand how Rick never argued back even when she knew he was upset with her and she wished he would always say something.
Now he said some hard *_thangs_* and she has to deal with it.
@@PACKERMAN2077 I've got some others that are this long or longer on some of their previous reactions lol. It depends on the topics reactors discuss and how they go about it. Some people don't discuss as in depth as RT TV, so it's harder to form a discussion in comments when many reactors don't have much to say. There's only a few reactors out there who /really/ discuss.
Also, when Lori said that, she came /right out/ and said if she was being a bitch to /tell/ her. She knows what she can be like. They both needed communication, and Lori said back then she just wished Rick would have it out with her. They finally did in S2 and I've said this before, but that actually improved things between them. Shane's involvement made things unsteady again, but Lori makes mistakes that she acknowledges. Shane makes things about him /all/ the time and thinks everything he does is the correct option. The difference is, Lori fucks up and she accepts she does, then tries to apologizes later. But Rick is right, here - he's busy. He's trying to keep an entire group alive and his distance with Lori is of course adding to his stress. She's trying to make things better with him now, and he's /choosing/ this distance, but it's what he thinks is best so he can handle the whole group.
One thing that bugs me is that Lori's characterization was just kind of unsteady throughout S2. She was fine in S1, but the change in showrunner really shows when it comes to her. She was very consistent in S1. S2 was confusing and somewhat frustrating with character decisions on the whole, so a lot of times I try to gloss over a lot of weird choices made by characters in S2. Like... Maggie choosing to go with Glenn on a run then complaining about being an errand boy to Lori. Like... okay... sure...
