To answer the question about why the Walkers are so strong, you have to remember that the brains of these things are completely shut off besides motor function meaning they have no pain, and no restrictions, thats why they dont fall when getting shot, or stop when losing limbs. its the pain receptors in your nerves and brain that stop you from doing a lot actually, if you somehow turned them off you actually have enough power in your jaw to bite off your on finger and enough in your arms to break your own bones, now imagine that but it being someone else putting everything they have in to trying to bite, scratch, and eat you.
Plus, the living are living in the apocalypse, hence lack of food, water, healthcare...
The difference gets bigger as time goes
Plus, you can't really watch your back while having to put one out, these walkers brains are fresh as well, they are strong, still got meat to their bones, as time progress they become weaker as the brain deteriorates.
Hershel's speech about risking their lives is awesome. He is such a good guy.....he never hesitates he just does the hard thing and puts his family and the group first. RIP Scott Wilson (the actor that played Hershel). He had us all looking up to him.

13:05 there were some debates about that walker at the tree. Some people thought it was Jim, the guy from season 1 who aimlessly dug up the graves and was left at the tree after getting bit, but he was left in Atlanta and near the road, so walker just could've reminded Carl about him
Hershel blew all of our minds with that Quote trust us exactly Almost 10 years later and I still remember that quote from him and it’s one of my favourite quotes of the show.

Fun Fact 1: While never stated on the show Tyreese being a physical powerhouse and Sasha remaining cool under pressure comes from their pre-apocalypse careers as an NFL linebacker and firefighter respectively.
Fun Fact 2: Tyreese getting swarmed but ultimately escaping unscathed was an iconic moment from the comics Although much like other iconic moments put on screen it occurred under very different circumstances.

Melissa McBride who plays Carol was originally going to die back in Season 3 The writers were unsure but after discussions with Melissa and her expressing how deeply she felt about this character and how important this character is they decided against it and killed T-Dog instead and god I am thankful for it

It wasn’t even a fair fight Tyreese was being hold by Daryl while Rick was punching him so it was a 2v1
