Bottas’ communications skills is on another level. It’s not just his command of language nor his fluency. I mean, he knows how to relate the actual sensation to his listeners. Should this man be giving lectures or telling stories or coaching, I’m all ears.

You watch one onboard lap of Senna driving in monaco, manual shifting, fighting with the car, sometimes taking the corner with one hand, and you instantly know. All these dials on the wheel, all these settings, hocus pocus..i couldn't give a flying F. Then go back, and watch another Senna lap.

Amazing! I didn't realize they constantly change settings on a turn by turn or section by section basis like that. I had just assumed it was something they would occasionally tweak throughout the race to dial the car in more the way they want it.

Wow I never thought that Monaco is a 7 gear race. I thought going down the start finish straight that the drivers might go up to 8th gear. This whole video was great and very much insightful. Thanks Mercedes

"Its just the car" they say. These drivers live on the limits and not crashing is insane. I imagine HAM has an inner sense and feel for what the car should do - and he would extract the best time in any car.

This is a great educational content to allow viewers understand how complex it is to race a F1 car, and have them think twice in the future before criticizing a driver's error......even 1 corner, there are probably multiple settings to tweak and eye and attention still need to be on the race track and apex...etc...
