I tried this trick on my 2 year old golden doodle and she did it after 4 tries! She already knows how to do paw and sit! I’m looking forward to teaching her more tricks in the future! Amazing video! ❤️
This "lay-down" training strategy worked on our adopted 7-year old female Goldendoodle and adopted 14-week old male Bordoodle. We got to stage four within 45 minutes with both dogs. We had to utilize the crawling-under-the-arm strategy to initiate success. Thanks Chloe!!! 🙂
Hey, followed the instructions in This vídeo and my 3 months old golden retriever pup learned how to lay down in a blink of an eye 😍 love your videos. We will now proceed with teaching him to give the paw ❤️
Hey Chloe! I have a 9 wk old Maltipoo. He learned to sit in an hour. When I try luring the treat closer to his body, he stands. Also, when do you decide to stop giving treats? I sometimes think I train too long and get him full on treats when I taught him to sit.
had a bit of trial and error cuz she would just glance down and not lay down but i got it! 6 year old labrabull :) never had her as a pup got her when she was 2 at a shelter! so this helped a lot.
My 10 week old puppy and I have been working at this for 2 weeks now. She still does not know what to do when I don't bring the treat to the floor. When will she learn the hand movement? She is a very smart dog but "down" is troubling her.
Hi there Anna! We have plenty of great training tips on our PetCentral Blog training tips portion: chwy.co/3klha90 Give your pup in training lots of belly rubs!
Hi there! You could try bringing the treat back towards your pup and rewarding your dog while inching further away after each reward to create interest.
We recommend correcting this biting behavior from a young age, so it doesn't follow them through adulthood. Here's a link to some tips provided by the Chewy blog. Chewy Blog: Training Tips chwy.co/3jYfbYj
Hi Tanya. Thanks for reaching out regarding this question! It is important to be patient with your dog and give any training time. Please feel free to reattempt the next day and be consistent.💙 What's their name if we might ask?
I've managed to teach my dachshund both spin, high-five, sit, and to close a door but she will not laydown. I want to teacher to rollover but this is the biggest challenge
Patience and consistency, those are the keys for successful training. Your little one will get it soon enough, Angie, and you won't remember when they didn't know how. 😊 🐶 🐾 💙
We know how easy it may look on the presentation, but please keep in mind that all pups learn at a different pace. Patience and consistency is key when teaching your little one a new trick! 🐾
@@Chewy Sara, she keeps doing the tricks she already knows just to get the treat 🤦 by the time I get the treat in my hand she's already done at least 2 spins lol
Hi Hannah, please try getting your pup into a sit position and then hold the treat firmly in your fist from their nose to the floor until they lay. The treat can be given after.
"And you're watching Disney Junior!"

There's always a sweet spot. Treat incentives are great. If you feel like your pup is slowing down on commands then take a break and try again.
I love your videos! They’re so short and so helpful
That means so much to all of us! We'll continue to make more for our fellow pet parents such as yourself! :)

You can do it! Practice and patience is all you need.
my pup just stands up from sit when i lure him down with the treat

Rocky's the name of a champion, so we know he'll master all the tricks soon! 🏆💪😄

my dog is a puppy and he doesn’t flop himself down, he just follows my hand and just dips his neck,
With practice, your pup will have it down in no time.
Howw??? My dog keeps walking towards it after I tell her to sit down 😭😭
Hi there! Feel free to supplement this Chewtorial with tips from this fabulous article. chwy.co/3ZtwOV6
