SYNC4 ISSUES | Apple CarPlay and Sync Don't Get Along

- Just like in my Mustang with the Sync3 system, I am having trouble with Apple CarPlay in my 2022 Ford F150 with Sync4. It doesn't always detect and connect even when plugged into the USB port. I am not sure if this is a Sync problem or an Apple problem. I just want it to work.

I’m having the same issue and I’m also having an issue when it’s connected with a wire it seems like this all started with the latest update because it was working fine before that
I was told that if you change the "name" of your phone and take out the word "phone" and that will fix it... for example if it is Joe's iPhone... call it Joe talkbox; etc
I am having the same issue. However I also have issues when connected by cable. My music will cut out. Do you have any wired issues?
Mine does this. It just started recently. I have to turn off my WiFi and reconnect car play to get it play music and other stuff.
I had to master reset my radio and it fixed it
I’ve talked to ford and apple many times no fix they both talk like they have no clue what I’m talking about to fix
I told them they should talk to each other coming up with a fix after two years no luck
Man I think it's luck of the draw w these radios...my 19 chevy crashes all the time and I have a 21 mustang w sync 3 that I installed myself...both of them activate siri randomly sometimes but the sync 3 I Installed operates way smoother than the chevy system
I can’t get the Bluetooth to turn on just happened tonight.
Mine is spotty as well. Sometimes my phone won't connect at all.
Hello Kevin, did you repair the problem? Or got some information about it? Im having the same problem wirelessly doesnt connect at all with iphones.
With samsung everything is normal
Unfortunately I am still having trouble. The only way I can connect my iPhone is with the cable
I find that if you plug in your phone before turning on the truck, it’ll do that. Also if you unplug your phone from the cable. It will eventually connect with CarPlay. If you can’t wait. You can go to apps and press the CarPlay button.
