Adam, love your channel. We, my husband and I, normally cannot wait for your new videos coming out each time. So informative and fun. We are planning to move to Thailand, just not sure where we want to live yet. 😊 Bangkok, Chiang Mai or Koh Samui, it is the conundrum.😊
We stayed in Ari last year for a week and we loved it. That stay was the reason we decided to stay in BKK for year, it had such a charm to it. It's the perfect blend of all the things we love about Bangkok, modern and local food right on your doorstep, great transport and a friendly vibe. Great video.
Bangkok has so much to see and do and I honestly believe it could take a few months to see everything in this beautiful city . Good to see you Adam hanging out too . I really enjoyed watching this , definitely more of these are fantastic.
What a wonderful format. It really gives some thorough insight to the local areas. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. Your time, effort and work are truly appreciated.
You were the reason I went to Bangkok & southern Thailand in summer 2023. I’m now going again in summer 2025. I’m so excited to binge watch your page again & use your knowledge/experience to my advantage!
The area from Ari to Mo Chit is so fantastic. We used to live there and still go back frequently as there are so many great things to enjoy. Glad to see highlights of the area in your video.
You're the man, Paddy. Because of you we booked a spontaneous trip to Thailand for 2 weeks time and we'll be spending 4 days is Ari stopping at some of your recommeded spots. Really appreciate the time and effort you put in to these authentic reviews.
@@veritasaequitas9277 I visited so many times Amazing Thailand. I visited so many incredible places in Thailand since 2002 to 2014. It's a beautiful country in the world. I Love Bangkok 🥰🥰🥰. Since long time I have been watching your amazing blogs and recall my past. Be honest I Love Thailand truly ❤️. Anyway sending love and hugs from India 🇮🇳.
@PaddyDoyle. Yeah I'm at a love hate relationship stage. I just don't like crowded and huge cities in general. Although BKK has so much to offer I prefer a slower pace, but if I'm going to be in a crowded place this is the city. Havnt checked out Ari yet but back in a few weeks so will give it a good look over
That was fun. I love learning about these hidden gems. So many big cities have distinct little places that define and amplify the character of a unique community. Thanks for introducing Adam. I subscribed to his channel and it looks interesting and I am sure I'll gain some very useful information as a result. Great tip mate. Liked that shirt by the way! My best to Miss P and hope to catch up with you soon.
Fascinating. Never been to Bangkok during my year in Thailand, so definitely putting this onto my radar for my return. I avoided Bangkok like the plague as I prefer nature and quiet and mountains. Never knew it could be a bit peaceful. And that ART place...holy cow! My vibe every day and twice on Sundays! This is what I used to do each morning on my balcony! Thanks so much for sharing!
@@beverlyweber4122 I was really scared of Bangkok when I first to Thailand. Found it very overwhelming but then couldn’t get enough. Been to Thailand four times and never miss it
My wife and I are both disabled we love Thailand but our last visit to Bangkok overwhelmed us due to the crowds this is so refreshing and we both thank you for showing us the less populated areas of Thailand, thank you.
Ari is very convenient to anywhere in Thailand. When I was a kid it's pretty high end of living. Good apartments for GI, lots of wealthy, some government offices, near good schools, very easy to go to central palaces, etc. and yet it's still somewhat quiet part of Bangkok.
Nice video mate, we were the couple you bumped into with Pat. We were eagerly awaiting this - lovely to see the area through your eyes. Hope you get a chance to spend some more time exploring Ari in the future!
Let me put in my vote for 24 hours in one of my favorite lesser-known cities: Chanthaburi, gem and fruit capital of the Kingdom with history and beaches worth exploring. You covered it a bit in your provincial tour.
Chantaburi is what I always want to go, believe it or not. I am Thai eat a lot of fruit from over there but haven't really go there for the past 50 years. I live in the west of Thailand.
Loving these “24 hours in” videos. I am currently shopping for an apartment for this winter and want to be somewhere along the green line of the BTS so this is great to know about. Thanks Patty.
@PaddyDoyle thanks for the relaxing and enjoyable video. Subscribed (eventually) today after seeing you on Ryan and Damo's channel up in Buriram a little while ago. First video that I watched on your channel was one from a couple of years ago, a summary of nine or ten great places in Northern Thailand... Fantastic insight, as I hope to be living in Thailand hopefully around the middle of next year and want to visit Northern Thailand on short trips once there. Cities are no longer my 'thing' after living in Adelaide for 53 years. Much prefer the quieter, more peaceful lifestyle now, but nice to see what Bangkok has to offer, for the odd occasions when I probably will be there. 🙏😊
This's suck a beautiful showcase vlog of the city. The park Is used to be the largest public open space in Banhgkok. Making me miss Thailand. Thank you for sharing this! Love your honesty. 😊
Just subscribed to your channel! Your videos are incredible and I'm amazed by how you explore new areas in Bangkok. Can’t wait to visit Bangkok soon in a week and discover these new places. Thank you so much!
Great video Paddy! Will have to go and check out Ari some time. Sorry mate I’m nearly 20 years in Thailand and I still stand by the fact that ice with beer is a big no no 😂 🍻
I love this video and potential for more videos with the same idea… Since you live in Bangkok… I and probably plenty of others who are planning to travel and potentially live in Bangkok in the near future, would love to watch those types of videos: Bangkok divided into sections and/or neighborhoods with the type of amenities available in those neighborhoods. I love that you stayed in the area… and showed us the markets, restaurants, street vendors, shopping, the park, etc. Anyways. I love watching your videos. Keep up the good work!
Ari district is my favourite! Been staying in that area for years (before it became trendy!). In fact I will be there on Thursday for a couple of nights :-) Thanks for the heads up on the rooftop bar! Love Farmers Bar and the little foodie places there. I use to stay in The Yard waaay back when I was a backpacker, highly recommend.
This was my favorite video of yours. Thank you for sharing. I hope to meet you and Adam one day. I will be moving to Thailand soon. And your videos are truly great. Thank you
I worked at Samsenwittayalai School which is Ari and Rama 6. I visited the Ari area more than 200 times. There is a substantial Thai market in the Ari area, but you have to leave the comfort of the BTS station restaurants to see where the locals hang out.
Lived in that area for 4 years. Definitely the best as you are in BKK but living amongst Thais also. Best restaurants... Lay lao... Ong tong, Thani Khao moo deng and beef noodle shop next door. Looks like lots of new places have popped up.
Nice to see you again. When I realized that I couldn't move to Thailand, it was too painful to watch videos so I stopped. But your video popped up and of course I loved it. Your visit to Salt reminded me of the wonderful meal we had at Eat Me. We had lots of Thai food and street food but for my daughter's birthday , Eat Me was perfect. Have you been there?

I'm also looking for a new area to move to within BKK after my current 1 year lease ends in a few months. This video actually really helpful. I hope you do some more videos of other areas in BKK just like this one. Ari does look like a great place to live, my only hesitation is as someone who has always lived on the blue MRT line, I just feel I'd be really restricted to that central BTS line if I moved here.
I live near Bang Wa (Yeah, nobody knows where it is) and I walk daily through coconut/banana plantations after my lunch to see some nature: Water monitors, cranes, birds, lizards, squirrels and some local Soi dogs. It's a great way to connect with nature.
Watched this last night as we were looking to get away from the usual areas as we normally stay in Soi Rambuttri, which we like however visiting Thailand on a number of occasions and knowing how big Bangkok is, it would be nice to see and stay in other areas too. When searching for accommodation in this area, what are we best searching for (as in the actual name of the area)? As when I search Ari, I only get Soi Ari which appears to be just a street. P.s also loved the green lung video, as we had never heard of it.
