For some non touristy places; Talad Huamum is a local night market. Get out to see a football game, I know you went to Buriram many years ago, but some Bangkok teams have a great atmosphere. The science museum and Rama 9 museum are a good day out in Prathum Thani area, 4 museums and cheap entrance, nothing Earth shattering but a nice day out for the family. There are many other things but I will leave you with those 3. Happy exploring
This is already very reminiscent of the 77 Provinces series. Thailand just has it's own unique and unmatched vibe. And Paddy is the best guide ever, of course.
Hi Paddy, i have to say in the 7 times since 2019 that i have been in Bangkok i grew to adore the city in all its chaos, diversity and tradition. But this part of Bangkok the green lung is something new to me. Fantastic to see a new side of Bangkok, which i will definitely add in my next trip to Bangkok. Thankyou for another great tour of this city ❤ And really happy that your doing an amazing Thailand series again 🎉🎉😊
Loved this one. I really do enjoy when you just chat to the camera during some points. You're right it does make it more relatable. It was one of the parts that I loved about the trip with Dreamy, you sharing your real thoughts as much as possible. Anyway, enjoy the latest trip!
I've lost count of how many times I've been to Bangkok, I actually spend the winter time there and just returned to Germany last week. But i've never heard of this place! I will definitely check it out in May. Thanks a lot for a new place to go!
Fascinating. Loved tagging along on this unique adventure in Bangkok's Green Lung. The Bangkok Tree House looks amazing, despite a few rough edges. Can't wait for more cycling adventures.
Paddy you are good at vlogging while cycling at the same time! The screen is not shaky at all! And you are so good at editing, showing different angles while you are speaking mid-sentence. Amazing! Cheers to you and Miss P being able to maintain your relationship despite the distance and limited time you're able to spend together. Well done.
Paddy, get in touch with Joel Bruner if you can. He does bicycling racing here, and he's based in the North. He does 100+ mile rides. He'd be a great source for info on roads, prep, nutrition, etc. I'm an experienced motorcyclist, and I was shocked to see how woefully unprepared you were when you did the tour on "Dreamie". I nearly had a heart attack following that series! 🤣 Do your homework this time and save me all the stress. 🤣🤣🤣
Keep up the chit chat while you have a beer! We are in our 70s abd plan to come back to Thailand in 2025, were there in 1998. We spent a month in Bali this year, Vietnam and Cambodia last year. We love your videos andinspire us to keep travelling.
Yes. More random thoughts. More raw and natural. Best UA-camrs I follow. I personally like the Thailand videos because I travel there so often and moving there soon. But all the Asian content for me. 👍
A cross country Thailand bicycle tour is also on my bucket list. I have ridden my bicycle extensively in the mountains of Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai and enjoy the terrain, scenery, and culture. I look forward to your epic tour. 🚴♂️🚲🚴🏻.
Thank you SOOOO much Paddy! We’re headed to Bangkok for a couple of weeks in November and we’ll definitely be checking out the green lung and the hidden canals… so grateful for your fantastic videos 🙏🏻😊
I was there on New Year. I enjoyed it very much. I seriously need to edit that video next. That you’re talking to the camera for videos makes your videos unique. It’s what makes that channel what it is. Keep it up.
Great video Paddy, felt like I was cycling around right there with you! Sometimes some of the simplest videos are the best (even if it wasn't so simple to film on the back of the bike 😂). Can't wait for this series, keep up the good work!
I've been waiting for your next Thailand series for quite a while now. And here you are, finally!🤩I'm so glad you're back, mate!🥰😉 BTW, Miss.P. is quite a cute girl, though.😁
Great vid! And, good luck with your cycle tour - As an ex elite cyclist and now someone who's living in Thailand and cycling most days; I'll offer two pieces of advice to consider. First, it is the hottest time of the year in Thailand so plan what time of day to cycle (and obviously keep super hydrated). Second, you would be aware that it's currently 'Burning Season' and the air quality in the North of Thailand can be particularly bad - doing too much physical activity on the polluted days can cause long term damage to your health, especially one's respiratory system. Take care and all the best, touring on a bicycle is awesome fun and will give you so many memorable experiences for sure🙏👍
awesome video!! keep up the great content :) funnily I watched lots of your videos during covid and were hugely uplifting....and now I have a bit of man flu and went straight back to your videos and they were very uplifting
Every so often, when do some ad lib such as riding your bike amongst the houses, you give off the most hilarious Mr. Bean vibe. I laugh out loud. Thanks for you Paddy. 👍
Oh wow...this place is just gorgeous and this video certainly seems to showcase the scenery quite well. Amazing how close it is to the Big City. Definitely on MY bucket list now! p.s. re: your last bit leaving an offering, you really should go BACK to that spot (from back in the days of Dreamy) at the rooster temple where you wished for prosperity. Seriously. You owe that rooster a few baht to return the prosperity favor, mate!
This is one place in my bucket list and even I am Thai, I have yet been here. LOL. Keep thinking Oh I'll do it next week, next month and end up still have not been there. Really good video to show this area for us. Really need to get there sometime soon.
It’s a testament to your story telling skills that you made that episode work. I’ve been following your channel for a while, and very much prefer Thailand to Antarctica…….but you manage to be interesting and informative wherever you go. I will stay tuned! Merci.
A bit of foreshadowing in this video.... i won't give anything away... 😉 The green land area is beautiful and looks fun to explore! I love your choice of accommodations! Super cool!
@paddyDoyle So happy you checked this out! In the year we lived there, it was on our list and sadly we did not get there. You have inspired us to return to our second home, and make another go at sharing our adventures! Edit...I am a cyclist...and I think you are crazy...Awesome but crazy
Lov’n this video Patty. I did the Green Lung as well this year. Not over night though and it was plus 32 that day so it was exhausting but I did over 10 kilometres on that peddle bike which is pretty good for this old lady. Those narrow raised pathways were a bit scary…thought I was just going to go over the edge and into the swamp at times. Very sad that this unique place that is of such incredible benefit to the city of Bangkok is under considerable threat from growing urban development.
I have visited Bang Krachao and took the Ferry and then rented a bike, it was amazing. You can also get to this plce through the city less interesting way. Great video
Thanks for this video, I've been looking at staying in Bangkok for a month during my visit but I'm from New Zealand and I wasn't sure I wanted to be stuck in a big city away from nature for a month. This will be a nice little break when I need it ❤
Love the bicycle tour idea, Paddy. Have you considered using an Insta 360 to film while cycling? They’re very popular with motorcycle vloggers as I’m sure you know. Looking forward to watching this series
I'm new to the channel. I think you should keep the rambling in some of your series. Doesn't have to be all of them because I do like straightforward info videos. However, I enjoyed watching it while I did chores around my house. I'm trying to get as much knowledge on Thailand before my wife, kids, and I come there on a DTV at the end of the year and your video content is great. Thanks for the work you put into them.
This is awesome, I didn’t even know this place existed in Bangkok. It’s definitely on my bucket list. I ride a bike daily, here in Florida, and I will feel right at home. By the way, do they have electric bikes in Thailand? Are they easy to access? Because there’s nothing wrong with electric bikes I know a lot of people do cycling and they want to be traditionalist . But it’s just nice on the inclines so you know it’s more enjoyable experience for everyone. But either way, can’t wait for the videos. 🚴 ❤️ Oh, and by the way, I think the sit down and chat are good addition to the drone footage and the more polish parts of the video.
Hi paddy i'm thai i have been there two years ago over there very nice place also have many restaurant s cooking delicious real thai style foods i love bang krachao.
Hey Paddy! Loved the video, love Thailand and loved that Mrs P was there too. Your content is always great and I really like the bits where you go off on your thoughts 😂 All the best for 2024. Adam
That was great I love it and I never knew that even though I was born in Bangkok there were hitting places in the city Just the opposite side from where I lived from the city.
Love the green lung Mate! So good to see Miss P. Please say hello for me. I remember buying tickets for the long boat river tour in what I believe was that very ally. Then again so many of the Bangkok allies have that very look. Looking forward to your new series Paddy. See you soon.
I’ve been twice to the green lung, once via boat like here and once I drove my motorbike. It huge so I saw much more on motorbike though i see the merits of bicycle too
Where else in Bangkok should I check out?
You know, there are so many cool things near the khlong that no one ever sees. I will come up with some pins for you.
Khaosan, be a backpacker for the day.
Frescoes at Talat Noi, an evening out at Srinagarindra Train Night Market with Miss P., a long tail boat race on the khlongs...
The Beach restaurant in Lat Krabang near Suvarnabhumi airport-the best, most unique restaurant I've ever been to.
This is already very reminiscent of the 77 Provinces series. Thailand just has it's own unique and unmatched vibe. And Paddy is the best guide ever, of course.
Agree

Double this statement!!
I agree! The non scripted parts are what makes a vlog unique and genuinely interesting. More human.
I've lost count of how many times I've been to Bangkok, I actually spend the winter time there and just returned to Germany last week. But i've never heard of this place! I will definitely check it out in May. Thanks a lot for a new place to go!
Talking, rambling and chewing the fat is what makes us really feel like we're travelling with you, Paddy! Great video - absolutely loved it!
agree, I like any new thing or place that he shows us ; it feels like we are there too! Paddy you're such an amazing storyteller or narrator .
Fascinating. Loved tagging along on this unique adventure in Bangkok's Green Lung. The Bangkok Tree House looks amazing, despite a few rough edges. Can't wait for more cycling adventures.
Love being in “real time” in Thailand with you again!! 🎉
Who would have guessed that this beautiful spot exists in BK. That’s Paddy.
Well done.
Thanks so much!!
We're so happy you're back in Thailand!❤ So looking forward to the video's!
Wow, you are a great storyteller, I was in the Green lung one month ago. It was my favorite place in Bangkok. Thanks from Seattle.
YAY! Our Paddy is back in Thailand!!! Buzzing
👏👏👏👏 Ms. P is real. Was beginning to think u made her up 😂😂😂. Thank u for finally showing her to us. I love ur videos ❤❤
More to come!
Well after all the daft and childish comments about Michael - this was Paddy's best response!
Looking forward to following you in Thailand again ❤😊
Its basically to Bangkok what Central Park is to New York City. Happy you two got to check it out and enjoy it.
Paddy, get in touch with Joel Bruner if you can. He does bicycling racing here, and he's based in the North. He does 100+ mile rides. He'd be a great source for info on roads, prep, nutrition, etc.

Definitely keep the rambling / chit-chat segments in, it's really intersting
Yes. More random thoughts. More raw and natural. Best UA-camrs I follow. I personally like the Thailand videos because I travel there so often and moving there soon. But all the Asian content for me. 👍
Now you have a dead spider on your face 🤭
You are always a pleasure to watch and listen to. Thank You for You being You. Our first visual of Ms P. Very pretty.
A cross country Thailand bicycle tour is also on my bucket list. I have ridden my bicycle extensively in the mountains of Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai and enjoy the terrain, scenery, and culture. I look forward to your epic tour. 🚴♂️🚲🚴🏻.

I'm so excited for this next adventure! I can't wait to see what you have planned!
I really liked this video. Excited to see the new series!

Just arrived in BKK also today 🎉
Love the new série so far ❤. I’ve been following you, on and off, since The Budgetteers 🎉

Helllo Paddy❤! Loving the channel…and you…just a bit concerned about you bike touring during the burn season.
Every so often, when do some ad lib such as riding your bike amongst the houses, you give off the most hilarious Mr. Bean vibe. I laugh out loud. Thanks for you Paddy. 👍

haha yeah cheers~!
It was great having Miss P back. This is the style of video like. Try using a handlebar phone/camera mount.
@paddyDoyle So happy you checked this out! In the year we lived there, it was on our list and sadly we did not get there.
You have inspired us to return to our second home, and make another go at sharing our adventures! Edit...I am a cyclist...and I think you are crazy...Awesome but crazy
Love the human moments. 👏
