I am glad that the "send one Nod Engineer to attack GDI base" strategy still remains in the remaster. But when you attacked the Nod base they actually send 2 engineers, wow thats some next level play by the ai.
It refused to sell bcos game skript was shocked that the player was too brave to sell the cons yard at the beginning stage of the mission. Total mindfuck lol.
Hi mate, great fan of all your vids. This mission is nails, you’ve definitely cracked the quickest way to win. A less stressful way is to build up the mammoth tanks instead, then build 8 Orca’s and smash their harvester, control the Tiberian fields and bleed them out… 👍🏻
I dont think there's a quicker way to do this than, 1. Stabilise the base 2. Build enough income structures 3. Mass produce a non-repellable group of med tanks 4. Rush base. No slying of engineers in by chinook or APC or owt.
@@TheCNCChannel no you can't. Wonder if it's possible to sneak 2 apc's through full of engineers with the aim of getting 1 through to the con yard, then build turrets to ward off the enemy units. I may have to experiment.
@@TheCNCChannel I just finished this on hard before watching anyone videos about it. I did it with 2 APCs 1 with 3 engineers. I had Ion cannon and had taken top turret out, then I took out the Power Plant left to the CY to make space to drive them deep in. I had to save and reload it a couple of times for it to succeed. The base is so full it is near impossible to time it right without getting rocketed by the SSM Launcher. I really liked your speed run video!
This used to my favorite of the covert ops missions back in the day, I've played it so many times. Yet I doubt I'd be even be able to get close to beating it this fast :'D
I try not to resort to tank building because it’s boring but there really is no other way that I know of to beat this mission, especially on original hard mode
How just how. I make same as you on hard and bot build a turret next to my sold raff, hand of nod next my barracks and when you are attacked by 2 stealth tanks i'm atacked by 2 flame tanks plus 2 stealth tanks. By the way you made a great game and i think i have to make it by my logic...
Seems like you could've done this mission about 5 minutes faster if you did a split distraction and a main base assault, losing the defend while you finished the base, then coming back to clean up.
I always struggle with this mission, because I feel like selling the original refinery and blocking the turret with silo/units is cheating, but then I wasn't able to finish the mission without these.
Am i the only one who has the NOD creating defenses IN our base 24/7 at the same place unless you put something (structure or unit) on it? it makes it impossible :'( update : i solved my problem by creating very quickly barracks then silo to put something on the place where nod was spamming turrets

The end scene truly reflects how the game was played except it was not won by bradley tanks and it was not fought in a temperate region
How fitting: GDI-yellow light tanks, delivered to a captured Airfield, chase NOD soldiers down.

That has a better chance of working on casual mode. On original hard or even hard I’d say impossible, the base is clogged with tanks

Damn there is so much NOD on this level! never realised how difficult this was
And on original hard they never stop coming
So on hard mode both bases was somewhat more spacious than the one on casual mode.

I did test an early assault while abandoning the base. It’s not possible on original hard mode

Why would that be necessary lol, that's the way to prevent the engineers from capturing your base

he coudn't. pre-built wall can't be sold
