    This video shows how to graph linear equations from the standard form of a linear equation and also the slope intercept form of a linear equation. For standard form, the x-intercept and y-intercept are solved and then used as points to draw or graph the line. For slope intercept form, the y-intercept is marked first as the first point, then the rise and run are used to determine the second point to graph the line.

  • @daphthecompletepossiblehuman

    THANK YOU. Every single lesson my classmates are extremely disrespectful and talk, shout, throw things around, run around ,whisper to each other etc. My teachers get angry and they stop for a bit and then continue like nothing happened. Then they get reported, they complain a little and then continue. Then the teacher calls the head of year, they get a bit scared and stop a bit longer only to continue again. This whole headache happens in all of my classes, some less, others more (math is probably the worst), so I have to rely on what I write in class from the board and the internet. Even when I ask the teacher questions after a lesson she either complains about me "not paying attention in class" and tells me that I should understand it, or she answers without even understanding what I'm asking. I've got really bad anxiety and have been stressing about not knowing how to do this for way too long only to find out now that it's this easy. Now I have exams coming up and you to thank for my mark being better. It's not like I was going to fail otherwise, but this is a BIG help.

  • @gdawgrapper
    @gdawgrapper  11 років тому +10

    We had 12 = 6y - 4x in the video at 3:05. At 3:07, the 6y is covered up with the thumb. Covering up the 6y means that you are setting y equal to zero. So what you have left is 12 = -4x. When you solve for x in the equation 12 = -4x, you will have the value of x at the place the line crosses the x-axis, or the x-intercept, which you then can mark as one of the two points you need to construct a line. I hope I answered your question. Thanks for viewing and commenting.

    The music is hilariously inappropriate. Love it. Also, this video made the difference in my college placement testing, allowing me to avoid needing an extra class, this saving my an added tuition cost. Thank you. This information has been invaluable.

      That'll be 5x+3y=0 so x and y intercept will be 0 basically both the axes
