Learn to graph a line in slope intercept form

- 👉 Learn how to graph linear equations written in slope intercept form. When given a linear equation in slope intercept form, (i.e. in the form y = mx + c, where m is the slope and c is the y-intercept). We first plot the y-intercept and using the slope, we can determine the rise and the run of the required line and then be able to plot the next point from the y-intercept. We then draw a straight line passing through the two plotted points.

How do we know that for the "1" we move right and not left..???
because you will always go right and not left
or if you only need the intersections then
y[0,-5]
x[ ,0] for now
y=3x-5 you take the 0 from the x cordinate and exchange it for y
0=3x-5 now you calculate the equation
0+5=3x
5=3x
x=1.666666666... for simplicity 1.67
now the coardinates of the intersections are
y[0,-5] on the y-axis
x[1.67,0] on the x-axis

THANK YOU SO MUCH! I got put into Algebra 2 honors this year because the Algebra 1 teacher said his class was too easy. I just recently moved across the country so the curriculum has been completely different. Because of this, I've only learned half of what we're already supposed to know for Algebra 2, so there are so many holes in my education. I've been struggling to keep up with the rest of my class, but watching your videos and taking my own notes has really helped a lot!
