As somebody who works with a company that often ships pallets of very similar freight in terms of those conveyor belt pieces, you could easily be looking at $200,000+ in equipment there.. I've seen a box of rollers get claimed out because a warehouse worker sent a fork through them, one box of those rollers could be well over $25,000.
Hey Dave. Just turned on my computer and then went to my youtube page and the first thing that popped up was a story by KSL News about you and your crew helping stranded snow bound people in the Big Bear area of So-Cal. I used to think that you and your crew getting that concrete mixing truck up the hill to that old mine was the best thing you ever did. But this my friend far surpasses that. Huge props my man. Like, if there were any young women who had disappeared in that region, there's a chance greater than zero that i would know where they could be, type of vibe. That feeling hasn't left me one bit...
No owner op will sit for 4 months like that. We would speak with shipper and they pay to bring it back unless out of business then we will sell the stuff to make up for lost revenue. No trucker will go broke waiting like this we will unload it quickly then get rolling again.
If you have extra games that don't sell, I recommend checking out if you have a local foster closet to donate them to. As a foster parent, having a few games to take home that are new when a kid arrives is often treasured by kids in foster care, and helpful for the families too! :) I think you guys are awesome! :)
HUGE SCORE DAVE!!!!! Whether it's a complete conveyor system or not I'm guessing you've easily got $15-$20,000 worth of brand-new conveyance parts there - single lot sale to a conveyor manufacturer or systems integrator for conveying systems. SWEET! Add in all the games and I think you've had a major score! Huge congratulations!
You scored on the conveyor system. The SICK barcode readers are worth many times over what you paid for the whole load. The motorized rollers, depending on how many you have are worth more than the whole load cost. The zone controller boxes are worth many times more than what you paid for the whole load. Good score, dude!
Honeywell/intelligrated are industrial conveyor system's are super expensive. PE sensors, proximity sensors and as well as the PLC systems cost more than the metal 😂.
Sometimes the descriptions are extremely vague. I’ve had truckers call to deliver stuff that was described very differently than what was in the trailer. Especially LTL stuff
@@paulthiessen6444 Even at being extremely vague if this load was on his trailer for 3 or 4 months And he wasn't working because of it which I highly doubt because no trucker is going to leave a load on their trailer and not work for 3 or 4 months because of it. they would have gotten into it and known what was in their trailer by now

The absolute jaw drop when I saw the conveyor belts. I used to work for Honeywell Intelligrated, who manufactures and installs conveyor these for a lot of distribution centers, especially Amazon. I installed these exact systems at Amazon warehouses and could point out most of what that stuff is. Wild to see here!
This is most likely Dematic systems, as thats what we use on most of the western side of the US. Intellegrated on the east. (Which I can confirm, living in the same state as these folk, the only warehouse not using Dematic is the middle mile building, which uses a 20k mechlite from a company that I can't even remember the name of) However those labels are middlemile labels from within the network, meaning these weren't being used by the company, just fulfilled through its network.
This is what I’m saying I work for Npsg world wide and we are right now building a new Amazon building here out of Boston and those are he exact products that are being used by Honeywell intrigued teams . I was also astonished as to how I found this after just leavening work today and seeing these equipment that should be at Amazon lol in this building lol 😂
@@marksprinklehe orange rollers called MDR’s (Motor Driven Roller) are special coated. I use those in my department and those alone go for 2k each. They have easily over 30k in conveyor systems.
I genuinely appreciate what you are able to do to help people. Whatever it is, considering the cost of fuel to get that load to you from California, 6K is a bargain!
Dave. That conveyor equipment you bought was manufactured at Dematic. I worked there 25 years on the shipping dock and in power assembly. A conservative estimate for the mini system you have is over 100 G
I agree Tim. I'm a Millwright out in Chicago and I work on this type of equipment on a daily basis. If they signed the frequency drives that drive the electric motors they probably are looking at well over a hundred grand
He said Honeywell, not Dematic. Honeywell bought Intelligrated. I worked at Dematic for over 9 years and now another automated material handling company for over a year. I was hoping for a better look at the equipment to figure out what it all was. Not sure how many Sick scanners they were and what model they were so they could be cheap $50 units or several hundred dollar camera scanners.

I've never heard of some of those games but def hope you make your money back, but on the upside what you did by purchasing it from the driver was awesome. My brother is a long haul driver and when his box is full he don't make near as much pulling someone elses trailer so that was a real good thing you did. Props you rock.
When I drove a 5 ton Army truck in Germany some of the houses in the back country towns were so close together on the road through the town that I had my mirrors mounted with removable pins and cotter pins instead of bolts so I could fold the mirrors in so I wouldn’t knock the flower boxes off the bottom of the windows back in 1979-1980
@@jaymcginty6786 Saw similar problem while we out on maneuvers in 73 - 74, the lead vehicle lead the whole convoy into a very old village in Germany where you could barely get a small car though it - after making a wrong turn and attempting to get the convoy turned around. Maneuver damages probably got paid for that fiasco.

Bout this trucker wasn't out of work for 4 months. His trailer was out of commission because the trucker wasn't getting paid but he can still pickup loads by using other trailers. Also, we don't even know if he was holding that trailer for hostage because he wasn't getting paid.
Big respect to you David , I heard you say , in so many words, doesn't matter how much i'm going to make, is helping this driver out as he has family. Big Big respect Regards from UK
Man, I'd freak out driving that narrow slot between your warehouses in a normal car much less a huge semi. Props to that driver and you guys when you do.
I love how excited Allen was getting. I say make your money on the games and let Allen play with the conveyor parts like it's a giant Erector Set! Lord only knows what he might come up with. What ever he builds is guaranteed to be TOTALLY WIZARD!
If he makes that much profit, it would be nice to see him turn a little more over to the truck driver. As an over the road driver myself I don’t know how he set for four months like they were talking about. I mean I’m sure the guy had some money saved back, but why would you want to dig into all that?
It’s not Dave’s fault he sat for 4 months unable to work. He reached out to Dave and asked him to ‘Make an offer’ sight unseen. if he wasn’t happy with the $6,000 offer, then he would of said ‘thanks but no thanks’ and tried to sell it elsewhere. Turns out he was Happy with $6,000, he got his truck emptied and straight away went to pick up a load, he was back in business. His contract with Dave was complete. Luckily the goods that were unloaded, were in good condition and can be sold on. Let’s play devils advocate….. Dave offers $6,000, the offer is accepted. Driver turns up with a truck full of perishables, all now decomposed and need to go to landfill. It’s now going to cost Dave more money to dispose of it all. Are you saying that Dave should go back to the driver and say, “I’m now out of pocket in the region of $7,000, you need to give me some money back”?”
That conveyer system is a produce grading machine. It washes a product as it goes over the rollers. Amazing to see one disassembled and laying in boxes and on pallets!
I guarantee you that conveyor belt stuff is $100,000 easy! I’m not disagreeing with the valuation but when Dave said it was an industrial conveyor system, it is really more of a commercial conveyor system. Those belts and rollers and drive motor rollers are not heavy duty. Just semantics imho.
Somethings just not right about this entire deal. I drove a semi for over 30 years and no owner/operator alive is going to let "Abandon freight" tie his trailer up for 3 or 4 weeks let alone 3 or 4 months. That and the driver not allowing his likeness to be videoed throws up serious red flags. He knew damn good and well exactly what he had in that trailer and what it was worth. This whole thing was shady as hell.
Does it really take 4 months to sell abandoned freight? Reading some of the comments from other truckers it sounds like it should not have held his trailer up for so long
@@colobr Yes, to get rid of the load legally he probably had to wait for a court to declare it abandoned. Sometimes shit gets tied up for years in business bankruptcies but it's usually building owners that end up getting screwed.
@@colobr Yes, if he had a secure place to store it and a way to unload it. But if anything happened to that load, and it wasn't declared abandoned, he'd be on the hook for it.

@heavydsparks those orange rollers are for “clutch” conveyors and help assist the counts of what is transported on them. The orange is also a gripping material to help move drums, boxes, etc. I can help with the conveyor line if you ever want to give it a shot! 😅
What a wicked score. Since you will make such a killer profit from it have you thought about slinging that truck driver another $2.5 or $5 thousand? The only problem is to find a buyer for a custom belt. Ideally they would find the original buyer and they would still need it. But yeah the belt is worth much more than all the games combine.
@@jakestarr4718 Those thing are built to last. They are not going to buy a duplicate of the all system for the few part they would need in the next 20 years. Maybe the belt itself and the roller. But the rack is not going to break anytime soon. In any case with the investment they just made they are not going to bother. Its probably the same reason the fabricator did not want it back. That is very valuable, especially to the people that are supposed to get that freight. They would be interested in providing a reward, should you be able your ownership is legal. If I was a trucker with a stolen load, I may say it was abandoned. There may be reward money by the shippers too. Keeping freight without telling the consignee is asking for legal trouble, if you ask me. Are you sure you didn't become a fence?

For the conveyor belts & parts, I'd recommend reaching out the JLL. They do all the maintenance & repairs for Amazon an that stuff looks like everything my last warehouse needed for parts.
Let me help u deduce before even knowing what's in the container. With storage auction stuff ur looking at stuff people don't typically want around in a unit that costs 100 dollars a month to just get it out of the way.. here, someone spent thousands of dollars to transport said product that would have to be recouped upon arrival. I.e. shipment worth far more then the transport costs. He paid 6k, and could possibly 100x his initial investment.
@@MatthewBrown-bf5lz go ask Amazon how much they're paying for industrial conveyors. Those belts alone are in the tens of thousands depending on length...
That looks like a nice conveyor system you picked up. It looks like the system that was at a former workplace of mine. The feet held up 2 rails about 3 feet off the ground, with the silver rollers between them. We used boards about 2 1/2 feet square to roll down the line with our items. The black belts from the first box probably stretch between the orange cylinders, and provide some powered movement for the line, and I see curved rails that seem to be for going around corners, with the remaining line moving freely. I am sure that you are correct in your rough estimate of it's value. It could be easily half the value of the load. And the games could go fast at 50% off current retail price.
Its actually not as hard as you might think. Have had 53 footers in even tighter spots before delivering for Dollar Tree. You get used to backing and or pulling through tight alley ways. Like any job the more you do it the easier it gets. lol
😂 the first stuff is for industrial automation, I work in the field and you've got a conveyor system with control boxes. If you've got PLC's(programmable logic controllers) those alone are in the thousands of dollars, you could just take those devices off the din rail and sell them individually for mega bucks. Especially right now when anything Allen Bradley is incredibly hard to get with shipping times +6 months out some PLC's are 18+ months out. Edit: just those contactors are worth a minimum of $100 each depending on the type you've got. Normally the more amps it can hold and softer close it has the more money. Even refurbished ones go for hundreds

(Which I can confirm, living in the same state as these folk, the only warehouse not using Dematic is the middle mile building, which uses a 20k mechlite from a company that I can't even remember the name of)
However those labels are middlemile labels from within the network, meaning these weren't being used by the company, just fulfilled through its network.
How much do you figure that system is worth?
I thought Dematic was Green? That is part of a Honeywell Accumulation Conveyor. I agree the conveyor parts are worth well over 100K.

That space between both of the buildings is literally just enough space for those big trucks is so insane
Yeah it’s hard to tell if it was designed that way or luck
Do think the side mirrors on the truck folded in flat, or that they had to remove them before going between the buildings?
@@immortaltyger1569 I would guess so, since it looks pretty tight.

Man you got me. Generic novelty board games are such a hot market right now.
That poor truck driver got ripped off. He coulda made so much money off that stuff.
I love your crew Dave! You guys always help the community out!
What I'm amazed by is the truck squeezing through that corridor lol
Great driving 😅
❤
Dave and his crew are the best people inside and out. The things yall are doing for other people is unmatched. To buy this trailer and say "I don't care what's in it I'm just glad this guy can get on the road", you are a legend!!
Easily the best part of this video was Allen freaking out about all the roller equipment 😂😂 someone send him some “encoders with io ports” PLEASE whatever those are…
Alan actually has a little bit of electrical/automation knowledge, I'm impressed.
He's got more than a little bit, he knows exactly how one of these systems works and they aren't simple or easy *at all*.
Allen is a true keeper of knowledge don't be fooled. Like a steel fucking trap.
Wow looks like about $6000 worth of product
Need to get Matt’s towing to upgrade to that tracked machine!
Great show Dave, love the way you take the risk and shooting for the best! BTW is there an update with the helicopter purchase deal that fell through? Would love to see if that guy went under and if get a chance to purchase from the landlord...
I think Alan needs to set up that conveyor system to make sure all the parts are there. It would be more valuable knowing it is a complete system. The module that runs it all would probably have a separate price anyway; could purchase separately. 😁
Needs a computer and a program..🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@casualdrifterendgames7307 Not necessarily.
@@motosk8er2 true you could just plug it in the wall and run it continuously, but to make use of the encoders (track position and speed of the belt) you would need some kind of computer
WAIT! I got it! A mobile elevator to help unload all these trucks Heavy D gonna be buying up in the future
I live in Fairbanks Alaska, I wish we had opertunity with stuff like this. It's cool to see all the different things you guys do & plus your nice to look at.
Alan is the best guy ive ever seen lol. He constantly cracks me up. Especially with the edits that are put in
I'm a truck driver in NZ ,I'm damn sure of exactly what I'm hauling, and everything comes with documentation
Yeah, I would think so. You guys would need to know, especially in case dangerous goods are involved. One of you guys crash, emergency services are gonna need to know, too.
I work for an LTL carrier in the USA and most of the time we only have a vague description of what it is that I'm hauling, unless it's hazmat then I know what it is and how much of it I have.
