The money he could possibly make off of this buy doesn't make sense. He probably makes ten times more than that just waking up and taking a dump in the morning.
@@rg20322 You kidding, crack heads will bust into a ran down shed in someone's backyard in the hopes of finding ten bucks worth of tools to pawn. Did a security gig while a restaurant was being remodeled and the contractor's biggest thing was to watch over the tool locker because another job he did someone came by and cleaned it out.
Used to work at a hardware store as a kid and this brings me back. Lots of key cutting, pipe cutting, pipe fitting and digging through serv-a-lite boxes with countless specialty nuts and bolts helping local folks find that perfect part for their projects. Great find!
Same here! I was with a little Ace Hardware in Westampton NJ, long gone now Home Depot and Lowes moved in back in 2000 and shut it down 2 years later.. I worked there through the late 90s until they closed. I can't tell you how man wheel barrows I've put together or how many cans of paint I mixed by hand or how many keys I've cut. I was 18 at the time and I learned SO much from the 2 old guys who lived there (they worked 7 days a week there) Such good memories, I became a handyman on the side as a grownup from what I learned at Ace. So cool! Man I learned how to operate a forklift, he had a little one there, the memories are flooding back!
My brother started at a small hardware shop, shortly after he graduated college. Owner decided to retire, his kids didn't want it, so the store closed, and he went to Home Depot. Still very close to a bunch of the local colleges and a *lot* of apartment complexes. We* have never had those "do not duplicate" keys, but that didn't stop apartment landlords/college dorm maintenance from needing literally 75-100 keys at a go, every 3-4 months, like clockwork, when they changed locks with semester changes. When we got those automated machines in, my brother supposedly held the rep's briefcase hostage to keep the manual cutter, because he knew the automated ones would *not* be fast enough for the amount of keys he sometimes needed to cut in a day. Surprisingly, it worked--we had that manual machine until the store just couldn't get parts for it. (*Same store, different departments, lol. Good place to work!)
I bought the hardware store in Turlock, CA when it closed in 1992. I had nuts and bolts in my shop that everyone in my area would use ( honor system) lasted for 29 years. Lost my home and shop in a fire, burnt to the ground. What a nightmare.
Ah, the memories of working in a small mom and pop hardware store. I mixed the paint and ran the cash register. There were no big box stores anywhere near, so this was the go-to place for seeds and garden supplies, tools of all kinds, chains, and locks. Small town and everyone knew you or was related somehow. And you could order parts for your vehicle or farm equipment. We always had cold ice water available and hot coffee. It sat right on Main Street. I swear that building had been there since the 1900's.
The camera panning through the store brought back memories of going into the old mom-and-pop hardware stores getting pretty much whatever was needed at reasonable prices from friendly and helpful people.
His family will have a hard time dispersing all his accumulations Took us months to disperse our dad's accumilations. Dave must be renting several warehouses.

I just wanna say as someone who’s family owns a hardware store that’s been open since 1871, it amazing the amount of stuff I spotted on the shelves that’s been there for decades is the same stuff we have that sits around on our shelves forever too. Also we have that same exact paint mixing equipment, and red devil paint shaker. I don’t know what someone did to that poor paint shaker, but I can tell you the original base is missing, and the paint can flew out because it’s put together wrong. The clamps are supposed to cradle the paint cans sideways not vertically.

Walked up to me yesterday and gave it to me for free to open my dream Woods small engine repairs and lawncare and thank you for not being selfish and giving back I really wanted that building and I'm glad my business over there was successful enough to have the REMS owner put me on payroll and say it's all yours since the community support you. Power tools, hand tools, hardware, solvents, garden supplies- Oh, My! My grandfather was a carpenter and collector of everything, so I got the bug from him, I think. My boyfriend has a music room- I have a workshop. Still some things I need to round it out, though. I need a new drill press, as well as a good band saw, routing table, and a lathe. My favorite thing about old hardware stores where we grew up is the squeaky wooden floors. My brother or friends and I would try and find the noisiest spots in the building.
It's going to be a lot of work to sell the stuff, and also deal with the junk. They will have plenty of spare stuff to use, but a hassle to deal with what they don't.
In all my extensive travels around Europe, the people who stood out to me most were the Poles. They are a very beautiful people with a spirit and energy that it unique unto themselves. I have a great respect for Poland.
That's a beautiful truck. I am jealous. Used to be a trucker over here in UK - but that would catch eyes!! Trouble is we don't have enough room on English roads.
In regards to the turbo Camaro....Mike almost chickened out, and asked the dealership to buy it back. I'm glad you he now appreciates the build! It's a kick ass car.
Alan was right about that pipe threader! i used one while working HVAC for cutting gas pipe. we did 3/4 to 2.5 inch pipes out the back of the work truck.
Congratulations on the $462 worth of hardware for $10,000 investment! I'd do the same homie. Keep up the extreme variety of content. Theres a little bit of everything on this channel. Also, Allen's excitement on these missions is contagious.

My mom's from Cali and moved to the Netherlands in her twenties where I grew up. She took me to the states a couple times and bought me my first machined catapult there, in a hardware store like this. I can smell the oils and paint just looking at this. What a vibe. I'm 32 now, hope these aren't all gone by the time I make it back to the states. Awesome video, the truck, the Camaro, the store, the owner with Trump's accent haha, takes me right back to the 90s!
To The Guys & The Crew: Please don't let overly sensitive viewers dictate what happens on your channel. I see most if not all of the subtle bits and edits y'all put in these videos; They're like little video Easter eggs. Each and every one of those silly things is what makes your content so fun. I mean, the comedy value in just the editing alone is pretty high, as shows like this go. It's better than anything on TV. Don't let the Karens win, folks. This episode had a really funny "passing" part in it that made my day cuz it made me bust out laughing , and I'm even lol while I replay the bit in my mind. It was subtle and is was hilarious, if you caught it. Don't change!
You need to have a warehouse there in Salt Lake with a retail store attached. So you can sell these things very cheap, or in bulk. It's one way of recouping some of your money. Although it may take a little time
hiya! i swear, your gang has the most fun! there was a hardware shop like that in my old detroit neighborhood. shame neighborhood stores are gone. while you were there did ya get a vernors or two? miss that drink.
One of my favorite memories as a child was going to Western Auto or any local hardware store. I love the feel and the SMELLS of an old fashioned hardware or feed/farm store.
There was an INCREDIBLE hardware store in Bend Oregon, "MASTERSON ST CLAIR," that looked a LOT like what you just bought.... Anything you needed, from 1940's roaster oven plugs (NEW IN BOX) to hand tied trout flies (tied by an 82 yr old grandma in Washington), to nuts/bolts of every size and application. It was a VERY SAD DAY when that store closed...😢 DoubleD Hardware ought to be a money maker!!! Safe travels, friends ❤️❤️ Stay FROSTY... Having run a small family business with my dad for 14 years, that hardware store, probably paid for someones home, cars, kids college, doctor bills, vacations and more for some family. It is sad to see the end of an era.
Dave certainly has a great eye for speculating and then accumulating on what he's paying out for ( BREAD - HEAD ) Can't beat it as i have said for many a year now is money breed's money! And it's spot on correct just looking at Dave's smart investigative blind buy's over the last 12 months or so!!! Proud too be a subscriber to his channel as well as diesel Dave's too when you showed your first shot of the inside of the hardware store I had a smell that came into my nostrils and it took me back to the time when my mother sent me down to our villages hardware store with a list of stuff my mum wanted " NOT " LIKE TARTAN PAINT, SKYHOOKS, BARBEDWIRE SEEDS, A LEFT HANDED SCREWDRIVER, AND A LIGHTWEIGHT LUMP - HAMMER, AND TO TOP IT OFF? A LONG WAIT ,AND BOY IT WAS A LONG WAIT TOO ! AND I WAITED IN THE CORNER OF THE SHOP FOR WHAT I CAN REMEMBER WAS JUST SHORT OF AN HOUR AND IT MADE ME LOOK A RITE TOOL XX

Y’all finally came to my home state!! I feel like exploring the Upper Peninsula & the islands surrounding would make an awesome video. Abandoned buildings and endless sights
I have literally driven past this place a hundred times. Always wondered about the history of this building and many others in the area. Absolutely hilarious that Dave ended up buying it.
I have driven past it too
Where’s this place at I know I’ve seen it and think I may have even went to get some parts when we used to work down there often.
WHERE WAS IT AT
Is that building in Van Born Rd. ?
I don’t how many times I’ve laughed at how goofy Allen is 🤣
It always cracks me up when they edit in all the advanced mathematical formulae and stuff when Allen is thinking about something. lolol
Cant stand his ass he just riding there coat tell
You GUYS are ROCKING....You GUYS are the REAL DEAL!
Nice KW! The paint job is great. My dad drove Peterbilts as a hay dealer in the 50s-70s. The smell of diesel exhaust makes me smile! 😀
I'd love to go pilfer thorough an old store like that. Looks like fun
I like to thank you for buying that store we couldn't find who owned it and the guy you sold it to. Now to get signs
OMG- that's my idea of HEAVEN! I am a hardware store junkie. I go to buy one thing, but then I just hang out and check out EVERYTHING, and wish I had the $$ to buy a few of everything, because I may not need it now, but I just KNOW I will, someday. Maybe someday. *Sigh*
Nice buy with your new truck looks really good Heavy D. Cool very cool looking truck please be safe and god bless you and your crew.
Brooo. That old threading machine lol. I work for the Oster that made that thing. We still make threading machines. That things sick. Always awesome to see your stuff pop up. You rock, love your videos!
Looks like all of you are having a great time looking at all those things. A bunch of kids having fun.😄👍❤️
goto st francis mn you could buy another its full of parts for everything its like the place to go if you need something and the city is pushing them out
If diesel dave gets hold of that empty bus he's gonna setup a newtons cradle of hammocks in it and terrorize utah. 😂😂😂
Well done Mr. Sparks. Detroit needs help!
Polish folks are always cool :), you are doing a great job we are watching you from Poland. Greetings to the whole team!
In all my extensive travels around Europe, the people who stood out to me most were the Poles. They are a very beautiful people with a spirit and energy that it unique unto themselves. I have a great respect for Poland.
🤣🤣🤣 You guys are like turning a bunch of children loose in a candy store!🤣🤣🤣
That's a beautiful truck. I am jealous. Used to be a trucker over here in UK - but that would catch eyes!! Trouble is we don't have enough room on English roads.
You remind me of my dad, he used to buy massive hardware lots and we had plenty of nuts, bolts, screws, door and drawer handles. I sure do miss him.
Buying for Alan and the mountain fortress again 🤣🤣 most of the stuff he would find a use for
I can’t wait to watch the bus build series !!!!
Hans was off his bonce sniffin what ever it was lol...
"High Maintenance Pooper"... Just like my Son In Law!!🤣🤣🤣 I don't know about Y'all, but If I gotta go, I'm gonna go, Regardless of where I'm at!!
Your paint mixer needs to be sent to Ceero Gordo for a seperation table
Congratulations on the $462 worth of hardware for $10,000 investment! I'd do the same homie. Keep up the extreme variety of content. Theres a little bit of everything on this channel. Also, Allen's excitement on these missions is contagious.
What a buy! If you didn’t get it in this purchase you probably don’t need it! It was fun watching the video! Don’t stop!
It's so good to see after the last couple of years of madness.
That there is guys in America who aren't mad crazy.
I'm from the UK. 75 years retired mechanic and love you're show
That is funny.... CFMOTO Z6EX 2013. Fuel pump goes out in August. OE replacement by end of month. Mind you this is interior Alaska.... couple weeks ago went to fire it up after the long winter and wouldn't you know.... Fuel pump crapped out again 😂 Chinese pump in a Chinese atv. Buy anything online for it and it's an OE part 😂
The lowboy trailer is a marvel of engineering in itself. It amazes me how much weight they can pick up.
GOOD FOR YOU GUYS. People out there would be crazy not to buy it from you to resell. I am a little too far from you in Canada.
When we first moved to Springfield, VA. We had a hardware store just like that one. It closed and now it’s an Aldi’s! Was sad to see it go.
That paint shaker needed some WD40...wonder where you could find some?
This shop is the dreamland of Dave
Been watching you since you were the diesel brothers and now you 40 minutes from my hometown. So so cool to see you come out to Michigan!!
And the boys at the beginning are Polish!! Polish pride!!!!
Hell yeah, dad's nut & bolt buckets / trays in my case were life savers sooo many times. Love that, big love you guys
To The Guys & The Crew:
Please don't let overly sensitive viewers dictate what happens on your channel.
I will never understand why you take Hans anywhere. Isn't there some locked facility you can keep him in?
He’s the personal assistant I think so he needs to be with him 🤔
He looks like hes checked out. Hair always looks greasy and unkempt and so unenthused.
Like a kennel 😅
Entertainment. They’d get board of hans wasnt there.
He sniffed to much of that container 😂😂
The store was sad someone's whole life cleared to history in a day
You need to have a warehouse there in Salt Lake with a retail store attached.
Matt needs a hardware store. Ed can run it .
Allen is in heaven lol
Is that Optimus Prime?
One of my favorite memories as a child was going to Western Auto or any local hardware store. I love the feel and the SMELLS of an old fashioned hardware or feed/farm store.
There was an INCREDIBLE hardware store in Bend Oregon, "MASTERSON ST CLAIR," that looked a LOT like what you just bought....
Anything you needed, from 1940's roaster oven plugs (NEW IN BOX) to hand tied trout flies (tied by an 82 yr old grandma in Washington), to nuts/bolts of every size and application.
It was a VERY SAD DAY when that store closed...😢
DoubleD Hardware ought to be a money maker!!!
Safe travels, friends ❤️❤️
Stay FROSTY...
Keep your powder dry and your head on a swivel...

Modern day Clive Cussler Dirk Pitt adventure series.
jeez, hanz getting zooted off the paint thinner wtf lol
Must be nice to have so much money you dont know what to do with it so you just buy stuff sight unseen 😂
FOR FUCKING REAL
Update on Muscles place???
I would be all over those hardware bins!
Great video Sir. I bought a New 2003, W900L 86" bunk that was a purpose built Heavy Haul truck C-16 Cat. 18spd, 30-K front axle, 30-K Lift axle, 50-K 2spd Eaton Rear Ends 3:55/5:73 split. This Beautiful truck these guys are loaning you reminds me a lot of the one I had. This truck will be a great addition to your future videos and add a lot of great content to the channel. Keep doing what you do best brother, its working.
