awesome video, was wondering if a video could be made for a defensive jab, the jab where you crouch on your back foot slightly, put your shoulder in front of your chin? hope I don't sound dumb. David Tua and Andre Ward used this punch frequently
There definitely is a body shot open for the boxer who is slipping if they step to the side. There is nothing available for the other boxer though. The t angle prevents that unless he turns into even more punches. I am assuming that is what you meant. That for the boxer who is taking the angle, there is a body shot opportunity?
i do this in muay thai sparring sessions, its devastating to the opponent if they dont know its coming. i usually slip jab, pivot to the side with a cross, hook to body then a high right kick. thats a fight ending combo right there. (the kick is only used if theres enough room to pull it off)
Still got em. Did it sound a bit worse? Maybe it wasn't a great placement for me to pin it. I'm still relatively new to the taking video thing. We've got better lighting and video on the way too. I'll get the hang of this... Promise!
I used to kickbox too. Using an elbow wouldn't be effective for a few reasons. First your body position wouldn't be conducive to being able to transfer power AND get your head off the line. Second, closing the extra range would be very challenging. Third, why do that when you have a perfect technique in the slipjab? It can easily be used for kickboxing and Muay Thai as well.
super healthy drill on the mits 🔥

I'll see what I can do. :-)
Looks like a nice body shot is available as well after slipping and stepping to the side. Although, the angle might bea little tough.

Good channel Bro👍
Thank you!
the shoulder touches the chin
hello slippery jab is the shoulder close to the chin or not
the punch goes up the middle while your shoulder dips to the side thereby slipping the punch. You should still be at relatively long range.
the shoulder touches the chin
@@Nox_Filme not really. No closer than a regular jab really.
Instead of a jab using an elbow can it be effective or will it expose my body.soemthing like a slip elbow to the face😅

No good
You don't like slip jabs? It is a common punch for defensive boxers.
