    From my experience catering parties. Those are pretty darn reasonable prices. I think at my old job our average was 100-200 a person depending on what was being served and how much support crew was needed to serve(my usual contribution personally). I do live in an extremely expensive area though. So prices do kind of skew to the higher end of things.

    • @tammiehinkle2040
      @tammiehinkle2040 Рік тому

      He stated that support crew was not included-nor food.
      Honestly, I think 50-125/person before food or support staff is high, but what do I know?
      I often do much of the cooking myself and just hire a serving crew that plates & serves, so maybe those prices are normal 🤷🏻‍♀️

    • @draconuuse9731
      @draconuuse9731 Рік тому +1

      @@tammiehinkle2040 for parties the food is included in that 50-125. If I understand the video right. It’s the private home chef half of his business that charges food costs seperately. Not the party catering half.
      So say for 10 people at a 100 bucks each. That’s 1200 with the service fee. Not terrible for that sort of business. Although in Texas where he’s at there’s probably plenty of competition. My old job only had a few competitors in literally one of the most expensive counties in the country. So my thoughts on the prices might be a bit skewed.

    • @tammiehinkle2040
      @tammiehinkle2040 Рік тому

      @draconuuse9731 then that isn't so bad. I have spent $1k on just food for 10-12ppl before, so that's not too bad!
      Thanks for clearing that up!!
      Just out of curiosity, where are you located?(I am in LA now, but this is our 11th location(TX, NY, PA, IL, &more)...thank you DoD/military industrial complex for moving my family like chess pieces ;-))

    • @draconuuse9731

      @@tammiehinkle2040 Jackson, Wyoming. Where the billionaires are pricing out the millionaires. Basically land is at a huge premium thanks to all the national parks and forests. Rich people love having vaca homes here for tax reasons. And they love having all the comforts of the big city. But don’t want anyone to build large appartment complexes to house the workers for those businesses. Think someone once said there’s more space in the 50 hotels than in all the low to mid end housing divisions. Don’t know if that’s true or not. But it sure feels like it.
      So cost of living here is up to about 2k a room for new contracts. With most businesses being equally expensive to possibly pay their employees a somewhat workable wage. As long as that person has a second job or side gig.

      Prices have nothing to do with what you think you deserve. Price is determined as the lowest price a business is willing to sell at and the highest price a customer is willing to buy at. For example, barbers thought they could jack up their prices and many went out of business because they lost their clients. Dude cant just double his price

      I often precook & freeze items I use regularly. Then I just grab some from column a(meat), a bit fom column b(veg), add a bit of column c(sauce-premade or store bought), and either grab, make, or ignore column d(starch).
