I really appreciate your positive attitude and outstanding advise. Do these canals have names? Or anything that would identify them in Goggle Maps? Thanks
@@Flyinfishing69 Ok. I haven't had the pleasure of meeting one yet. Lots of bass and cichlids, but nothing else. I've only fishing small local ponds. Thought about Lakes Park now that it's open again. However, I don't like it too busy. I'm disabled. Thanks for the videos.
So… a caught my first tarpon a couple years ago in Port of the Islands (slice’o heaven there!). Posted my pic on fb and it was taken down with 20 min. People were all over me for pulling the tarpon out of the water. I have since learned you’re supposed to release them while still in the water unless they’re over either 42” or 48”. 🤦🏻♂️ Glad to see you’re having fun bro! Do you go out in the Gulf much?
Haha yea you really gotta be careful with them when they're bigger. And yes I do! Haven't done much fishing latley since it's been slow, but it should pick up soon!

Urban fishing in Florida is the best fishing I have ever experienced
Yeppp. Florida is a cheat code
Nice vid I love small 3 - 5 lb tarpon on light gear more fun than some of the 80+ pounders
Yea they're fun! The big ones can be annoying how long they take to get in

Awesome Bro!! Tarpon rigs?
Usually I just use a 20-30lb mono leader and a size 1-1/0 hook depending on bait size for the small canal tarpon like this!
I've looked all over google map to try and find this spot @Fly in fishing can you drop the cords.
Check off rattlesnake hammock. You'll find it

Pretty much any pond or puddle that has Tilapia, bluegill or Mayan cichlid in it in SWFL. No specific spot
We are down there every few weeks if you want to get together and share some spots.
Yea lets meet up sometime and do some Florida man activities!
