I knew this was pinellas😊That little bridge is so kind in the winter. That muddy body warms the water and the snook stack up. I moved up to SC a year ago but I fished these spots for years. Keep hammering dude.
Nice fish. Reminds me of when I was a kid back in the 1960's fishing for tarpon, snook and bass in the canals around the Miami area. Tamiami Canal, some canals off Milam Dairy Road and the big lakes on the south side of MIA airport. Also used to fish a lot in Black Creek Canal and other drain canals around the Perrine/Cutler Ridge area - lots of nice tarpon in there back then.
Love that snook! You should try those canals on the incoming high tide, thats when they feed. Outgoing tide not much will strike unless it's a "reaction bite." DEF get a kayak! I know they are expensive so maybe get a used peddle drive. SO MUCH FUN! I prefer true peddles, not the goofy penguin flippers that Hobie uses. Great kayaks but silly drive system and you don't peddle, you kick your feet back and forth, so dumb. Happy fishing my friend!
Man I wish I could canal fish. If only I knew what city this was In. I’ll just sit here. Not fishing. All alone. Cause I don’t know What town this is in.
Yo kayak fishing vids would be dope
