Happy Birthday Chris White born on March 7, 1943. He is an English musician. White's music career spans more than 50 years. He came to prominence in the mid-1960's as the bass guitarist and occasional lead vocalist of the English rock band The Zombies. White is one of the main composers of the Zombies' music, and made major lyrical contributions to the band's songs. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2019 as a member of the Zombies. - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chris_White_(musician)
As a bassist I'm grateful that Chris White was part of the songwriting team and could write a prominent bass line as part of the main structure of this song.
Another Great Band of The 60's along with The Beatles, Rolling Stones, The Kinks, and Gerry and The PaceMakers!!, Thanks for Posting this Great Song!!😃👏👏👏✌👍👋

THE ZOMBIES, THEY ARE AWESOME, THEY ARE MAGNIFICENT, SPLENDID, THEY ARE ELEGANT, THEY ARE INTELLIGENT, ACTIVE, AND INTELLECTUAL MEN WITH THEIR MELODY, WITH THE TWO COMPOSITIONS, ONE IS MORE BEAUTIFUL THAN THE OTHER, IT IS ONE STEALING THE MUSIC, SOUND SCENE FROM OTHER!!! IT’S EVEN DIFFICULT TO MAKE CHOOICES!!!

I love this song, but this particular version is clearly from a parallel earth where they have invisible microphones that work perfectly for vocals...... :)
thing about the British Invasion was they made their own music and didn't go thru the music factory to make it so when you heard em live it was (mostly) the real deal. then again if you ever went to a Led Zepplin deal in the `70s you were lucky if it sounded near to the studio version, ol' Zep was into free form in those days
..great scott!! hey Marty..pack up your things!! we're going back to 1950's, ..never mind the plutonium, onced we're there we're not going back to the future. ..much better time and p[lace out there!!

The Zombies, along with the Beatles and other British invasion music artists, brought a refreshing new sound on the radio/charts at that time.
This song and house of the rising sun were super sophisticated for summer 64. Ahead of most of their peers.
It took the rock world two decades to catch up to these guys. Their sound was so far ahead of its time.
That’s for sure. They sang with no microphones and no instruments plugged in. They were magical
This.

First song ever to hit charts with an electronic keyboard. These men were doing history with this song!
Look up the Black Angels Telephone, or the Black Hollies
Whenever someone likes this comment it'll remind me to listen to this awesome song.
Legends. Simply a brilliant 60s record. Colin Bluntstone has amazing lead vocals & love his deep intake of breath in this song.
Besides the organ that drummer knew what and how to play on this and other hits!!
Hugh Birch Grundy The him name!!.
Another blast from the past. You never forget the good songs, and THIS is one of 'em! Has a haughting melody that sticks in your memory. 😌🎵🎶🎵
I've always loved the huge intake of breath Colin takes during that second chorus. Such a classic song.
Yes, I agree. He gives it so much emotion in that breath intake!
@@rudyramirez8178 i also love how he opens his mouth while singing the lyrics, it really shows his emphasis on trying to communicate the songs meaning
True😑🤗
He sang at church in the choir-learned some breathing technique im sure
Just had front row seats to see them 2 weeks ago and they were still awesome, they even have a new album out.
Nobody from the British invasion had keyboards like The Zombies. World class.
The Animals..??
