The steel used for the Kraken blade is a steel often used to make fucking RAZOR BLADES in case u were wondering how sharp it

AEB-L is a very common steel from Europe. It was originally developed by Bohler-Uddeholm as a razor blade steel and it takes a very keen edge. The steel is chemically similar to the Sandvik series of steels-12C27 and 14C28N. It is almost identical to Sandvik's 13C27 with only minor differences in chemical composition.

Your videos are surprisingly well made for something as specific as a balisong channel; complete compliment as, you're one of the reasons I got my first balisong trainer :)
This and my Vulp just came in today and they both flip like a dream! I am relatively unskilled and do "safe" rollovers but when I picked this up rollovers felt so natural that I was accidentally not doing the "safe" version and nailing them. I really like the Vulp too! Perfect for someone just getting into the hobby but is passionate about the hobby. The machining and grip on it are amazing! I love it!

I just got my blue and satin kraken and it flips amazing, I had to tighten and re-locktight my bight handle pivot becouse it was a little loose but now it's perfect, you should really do a bladerunners product, I have an AB 3.0 and it flips a little better than my kraken and is a tank of a knife 👍

I bought a "blemished" kraken. It was *still* better out of the box than what I've gotten used to over the years. There was like one little false line lol. It has been my concrete knife for over a year. Ive never had to lay driver to it a single time. It's still on the factory loctite.

Another great review! I have a few Squid trainers, and am considering a Krake Raken. Do you have any thoughts/opinions on the flipping differences between the Krake with Tanto Blade, and the coming drop with the Bowie Blade? I’m a bit of a newbie, so not sure of potential differences re: flipping. (Aesthetics and cutting utility are pretty obvious).

You should do a video on the hardest tricks you have ever learned
AEB-L is a fine grained stainless steel developed in the 60's(?) for razor blades. Its also known as 13C26. A tough steel which is probably why they chose it for a balisong.
Bro, let me tell ya, I had a knife in my cart twice! But each time it sold out as I was finishing the checkout process. I am amazed at the balisong community for selling out within 15 minutes. Mindblown. Just thought you'd like to know lmao.

I work security and I use balisongs for defense over guns I love blades more than guns. I was wondering how much better or close it was to the benchmade balisongs for defense. I do flip but Moreno for quick release than tricks.

How do you know when squid live blades are gonna drop? I've been on their newsletter for months and have never seen anything but trainers dropping. also never seen them announce live drops on insta or twitter, so is bladehq/knifecenter email/text notifications the best you can do to expect a drop?

@Jasmin Jarin they’re sooooooo good. Like seriously blew my mind when I tried it. They do lose tune easily but I’m not bothered by tap, so long as play isn’t too bad, so that doesn’t bother me. Overall it’s great at everything. It does take a little bit to get used to though as it’s heavier than most channel al balisongs

WHERE DO YOU GET THE SQUID LIVE BLADES??? All I see are trainers!
If u tightened it all way and it locked up bushings don't poke out juuust enough. Bushings are made so u can tighten all the way down.if the bushings are perfect you can tighten them fully and have zero play or tap.

i got one of them rainbow cheapie trash trainer. Very sad because there are good ones around that don't have the latch on the wrong side and screws that don't ware down immediately after trying to tweak/take off the latch. A butterfly knife was the only thing i wanted for my birthday, and i am tired of pinching the hell outta my index. ;-;
