Would preffer the latchless version... With a trainer blade... But since i just got fired and this knife cost twice the price of my rent. . . :D I would prefer a job now.. : D Or winning at lottery to buy one cool knife and spend my time..

No because Brs wants your honesty and feedback. They are a honest company and all they want to do is one up themselves and there competition when they can
I own a premium rep and I can honestly say....it’s not worth it.
@@DJEyelessPyro they typically say about a few days in advance if you can't save your money and wait till they say the next drop is that seems more like a you problem not a them problem.
Also I haven't really had much of a blade tap problem on really any of my brs's except the barebones 2.0 but I dont think they have bushings so what can you do
@@grantsypants4743 i feel like the rep is pretty fair and even the premium rep and even cf rep. Because people try to get them as soon as possible when they come out. If your talking about not worth then id say benchmade is awful. $500+ for and 87 $370+ for a 6x series and $290+ for a 51 seems more not worth compared to a rep
@@DJEyelessPyro $200 dollars for a 154cm blade with an all steel with phosphor bronze washers, skeletonized handles that has been engineered to be proportioned and balanced properly. You say thats not a good deal. Then compare that to benchmade where you get half that quality if even and pay double. Its still not bad. Also the resale for barebones is typically between $140is AT WORST and about $180ish AT BEST Also what makes you say thats not what good companies do? Its there products and they are a small company so and the demand for there products is more than what they can produce.
The plot twists in this video kept me on edge. So intense!

...With me playing with my new Lucha and basically managing to open and close it without needing gauze or a trip to the ER, I feel like the most amateur newbie that just realized how outclassed he really is.
Which, to be fair, I never thought I was good at balisong tricks, but I never knew or appreciated just how high the bar got. Some of those aerials, either Will has the ability to move like Neo or perceive time in slow motion or he's done it so many times he just *_knows_* where the handle and blade is. Either of which is incomprehensible to me.
...Then again, I also consider the ability to play a guitar witchcraft and something I would not believe humans would be capable of had I not seen tons of people do so. So take my bewilderment with a grain of salt.
Yeah it’s pretty much you try it until you can do it kinda thing you just have to practice a ton and eventually you’ll be able to visualize it in the air

Yeah it's mostly just repetition! I've done it over and over with so many different knives over time that I've developed a innate knowledge of where the handle is usually going to end up! It's really just a loooooot of practice, but it's very rewarding!
Buy a $10 trainer on eBay and in a few weeks buy a lucha and you'll be there too.

Wow, I was literally thinking the same thing. I know this may be a bad example but compare the quality of Will’s videos to someone like Hickok45 who just shoots guns in his backyard, and he’s like a celebrity at shot shows!!! 🤷♂️
I love these videos, and you're actually the one who's getting me into Balisongs, I currently don't have one myself (Besides a popsicle stick one I made myself (It sucks btw, but it's still better than nothing)) I'm hoping to get the black G-10 toptens you reviewed sometime soon so that'll be cool

I've had a standard 3.0 AB, and I currently have a latched chab. I definitely agree with your points. I just got a chab because of the awesome sound and cool factor. The standard AB flips better stock, and even better with some kuski barrels. Just my preference. Great video, as always! You guys are hilarious

I am huge fan of the chab. I think its such a great all round flipper and is extremely durable and well balanced. But I do agree that for the latchless version, they should have made the grooves at the handle exteriors for ladders...or even a small speed channel to compensate for the added extra weight that the latchless version has

Hi, I love your videos. I’m looking to get a nice balisong with a live blade around $100. I was wondering if you would recommend the kershaw lucha or Bradley Kimura? Or maybe something different, but that’s been the general consensus of the videos and articles I’ve seen.

I have the latched version and it’s my favorite knife I own....by quite a bit. Everyone’s hands and tastes are different and this one fits the bill for me.

PLEEEEASE...do a review of the Kershaw Lucha. Kershaw is a well respected American brand of nearly 50 years and the Lucha is the company's first foray into the balisong world. I think this definitely deserves the analysis and assessment that only Will Hirsch/Brandon can deliver!!
I got a pilot chab and an alt 3.0 with kuski bbls and area51 inlays and i love the chab but i can definitely see why many people prefer the standard for flipping. Also admittedly i just wanted the F14 pilot helmet on the blade....
I have the latched version, and I think an integral spacer ab would be cool. Maybe a little bit of texture on the end kinda like the kraken

Love your vids, but you should try leaving the sound of the clinking and chiming under the music similar to the wheels, pop, and grind noises on skate vids. I think it would work well.

subbed, good vids, lots of effort put into these videos for sure. Good info and i 100% agree without having flipped a CHAB the sandwhich AB is just too fucking good....ive owned over $15 grand in balis at one time and the premium AB standard blade just shits on them all.
Can you recommend a balisong that won't pinch my fingers as I flip it? I'm new to this and been using a cheap one that is pinching my fingers like crazy! Also, awesome page you got. You guys should post some tutorials!
Good video... I hope they make an original channel balisong. A real flagship that will span the decades like the BM42 has. Or 46 in my case.
So I own an AB 3.0 and a latch chab and I do love them both, I see what you mean when you say it’s like an AB but worst, but I think that the chab is not meant to be your first brs balisong, of course you can get it, and it will be awesome, but I think is meant for those flippers that love the original AB but they also love channel Balisongs, so I think this time brs didn’t need to create a whole new design because the chab was meant to fill that need of the community for a channel design bus still having all the strong points of the orinal AB, i still loved your video, keep it up, here you have the support of a Latin flipper

the vortex trainer is a new trainer that's about to get released. it's only like 15 dollars more, but it has a hardened 440c blade and fitted bushings, which makes a huge difference in how well it will flip and how long it will last compared to the triton

Should I get a latch ALT CHAB, a latch ALT channel AB, or should I wait for another drop (been trying to get one for 3 YEARS, and I don't like the ALT blade but I feel like I need to pull the trigger) Will the ALT blade make the (latch) CHAB too ass heavy? I'm not a good flipper by any means but it's not stopping me from trying. Any help would be very appreciated!!! HELP!
For an even better sound I would go for a clone chab. It has zen pins so the kinda bell sound is louder. And it's the best clone of all. I know it's not good that it's a clone but I've heard that it's better than the og, and for less than $150, I would go for it.

I have a few bail's. The one I use the most is a shitty 30 dollar one I got at a flee market years ago. The thing is so broken in it practically flips itself.

As a flipper who was around before BRS, when the alpha beast came out, we annoyed BRS for years for channel AB. To say that BRS just made a channel knife coz that’s what’s everyone is doing lately is inaccurate, it’s the knife we flippers have been waiting for for years, and it doesn’t disappoint one bit. I’ve owned practically all versions of the Alpha Beast and chab is practically all I flip now.
I bought a BRS Barebones about 3 years ago and haven't been able to find another BRS in stock since. Are they still making balisong? Seems like they would produce them since they're in demand.
They do like 3 drops a year lol
I will stay with my 40t.
I had a few problems with BRS in the past and their fit and finish was a bit off on nearly all BRS Balisongs i've handled.
Yeah people might had different experiences, but i speak for myself.
And will rather spend my money on 3-4 great knives for under a hundred bucks than buying one BRS knife.

I like a little extra weight in the rear
Looks the knife is designed for playing rather than fighting which is the original purpose.. Here in the Philippines the emphasis is on the technique of concealment, quick draw and the ability for a quick stab in different positions aiming for the heart or both livers.
But you made an entertaining video though.

The thiccness of the handles on the chab are actually thinner than normal 3.0 abs. Except for the first run 3.0 abs, which have thinner handles than normal later run 3.0s
