Man, I'm so thrilled that Fantomex finally gets a hero set! Buzzed about the new art and updated masterminds in the 2nd edition Do we know why they're not using Deadpool anymore?
So, Spider-Man got a massive upgrade all around, eh? Excellent art, and now he cranks out the aggression a little faster between an increase in Fight Power generation *and* the introduction of some minor Cost 0 destruction - all without losing too much of his Cost-2 spammability or completely giving up his Bystander rescuing. I'm not crazy for thinking this is a huge W, am I?
I haven’t played Legendary in MONTHS. Mostly because I just can’t seem to get people who want to play it, plus with all the expansions it’s rough to carry it around. But I might update to this second edition of the base game for sure.
I'll buy it, but I'm not happy about it... What do I do with the old cards? ;_; Also, what's with the playmats just having a singular picture, rather than pictures for the city, hq, etc...?
You can do what I plan to do. Keep both sets and use whatever combo works OR you could just swap out completely. There's no rules that say you can't use multiple of the same hero, treat it as the multiverse
Rumor mill says (1) Deadpool is now his own separate IP from the rest of Marvel and he isn’t cheap, and (2) he isn’t quite in line with the all-ages mentality UD wants to go for.
Wow. That Spidey and spider foes art is atrocious. I really hope they change it, Spidey and his rogues have yet to have some really good art in this game that I can appreciate. Jeez
The update on masterminds is great, but the new art on cards is probably what excites me the most
The game had me at new play mat.
We were Doomed from the start!

Thanks for covering this great game as always.

Not at all! Out of all the core set Heroes, he needed the biggest upgrade, and it looks like he got it.
Playmat and different art on each ability sold it for me
Great video, thanks Bagel!
Sweet another Wolverine faction. Glad some more x factor heroes. Probably best was finally Omega red Mastermind
Phenomenal news!
Super Hyped!
I can get this New set core in upper deck store or Just in gencon?
Love the box art
Thanks for the vid!
Gonna be super rad!!
so glad omega red is finally a mastermind!

I would also love it if they somehow got the ability to do a new marvel themed digital version.
I have caved and made a separate portable vault to carry around 5 setups for games for 2 players

looks amazing, was there a reason given for kicking out Deadpool?

deadpool has an entire expansion dedicated to him, they probably want people to buy that separately considering how popular he is now
Love me some 🥯

Why is Miles wearing that terrible costume? He wore it for like 5 minutes in the comics, and everyone hated it so they changed it back long ago.
The good news for you is that this is just a promo, so his regular Hero set will probably be the more well-known costume.
