Thanks for checking out our video comparing Marvel Legendary and Marvel Champions! Let us know your thoughts down below? Do you agree with our thoughts? Which game do you prefer? Let us know!
I have owned marvel champions since 2020. I have gradually built up my collection from expansions. I love the accessibility of deckbuikding for amateurs like myself as this was my first LCG. I also like the personalization of playing through a deck of cards that make you feel like that hero.
I almost got Champions and I'm so glad I didn't. I ended up finding a used copy of Legendary, and know I enjoy a deck building game far more than a deck construction game. Not knowing what strategy you will need to adapt to is part of the fun for me, so deck building is the obvious choice.
I had zero experience with deck construction and I got champions and loved it. It did take me a few months to start building my own deck but now I only build my own decks and rarely play the precon. Great video as well!!
One of the things I really enjoy about Legendary is the set ups you can do. My experience with Champions is limited, but I feel like it is easier to set up a comic book or movie story you enjoy with Legendary. Between the plethora of masterminds and schemes, and more heroes than champions, the likelihood that you can set up a storyline is greatly increased. Bagletop Games, who you mentioned, has been playing through the entire MCU including TV series' using Legendary. I don't think you could do that as well with champions. Maybe when champions has 10 years worth of cards you will be able to do so as well. Anyways, I can't believe I came onto this video a month late, stupid UA-cam algorithm. Thanks for the great video, always enj I y when you two touch on Legendary!
The way I always explain the difference between the two is as follows: 1.)Legendary, you build your deck while you're playing. Champions, you construct a deck before you play. 2.)Legendary, you play with several heroes, coordinating and synergising their abilities. Champions, you play as a single hero who calls on their powers and allies to defeat a villain(s).
Well, they're both games with the Marvel IP, they're both card games, and you build decks in both games. So I'd say at least from that standpoint they're comparable. That'd be where the "comparabilites" end however, which we stated in one way or another in the video I believe.

I actually had zero board game experience as well.
That's awesome to hear! Glad you were able to pick up Champions and are now constructing your own decks! It's a lot of fun isn't it??

I was wondering which one I want yesterday. Impeccable timing!
We got you @Kenny 😃
I would love to see you guys do a cooperative Marvel legendary video
Well it must be your lucky day. We've done a few co-op playthroughs so far, here's our most recent one! ua-cam.com/video/mv-0OqKOqB4/v-deo.html
Which comic core set is best to start with Marvel or DC? I have played magic the gathering trying to play it no more.
Bought the X-files legendary last week
Hmm i don’t personally think they are comparable at all
