Yea its actually pretty easy. The only thing i couldn’t include in the video is positapping the fuel wires to the adapters but thats also pretty easy and theres a bunch of videos on how to do that online. Thanks for watching!
This video about checking logs is a life saver - finally figured out why my '19 GT1 has been acting up - got an issue w/ cyl 1 timing - going to check it tomorrow! thank you.
Stuff I forgot to mention: -Connect the OBD cable under the steering wheel. make sure its snug, i had it a bit loose before and it caused some sputtering while driving. -Once you have the OBD cable through the firewall it connects to a short cable coming out of the jb4. Its the shortest cable so it shouldn’t be easy to miss. -Before installing you should lock the doors and let the car sit for about 10 minutes with the key far from the car. Thats just so the car can completely turn of and you dont short any wires. Also recommend unplugging the battery if youre not lazy. -Get a good map 0 run to see what your base log looks like and have something to compare when you go up maps. for example i like to see timing variations in map 0 and compare them to higher maps. -If you want to see if your fuel wires are working, get a food run in, open a log with the graph view, click the settings icon on the top left and make sure "fuel en" is on. You should be able to see the fuel wires in effect in the graph now. Its the white line, its not always chaning, only when the jb4 decides.
When making the ECU go to sleep as you mentioned.. is this why you do the OBD plug in last since you’ll have to unlock the doors? Or am I missing something here?
I might as well ask while I'm here, I have the very common 1.6 turbo engine that the Forte's, elantras, Veloster turbosb have... What do you think I should set my boost limit?
You should poke a hole in the rubber grommet going through the firewall instead of running the OBD wire against the metal so that it doesn't chafe or cut through it
I bent a strut and had to have it replaced. And no they didnt say anything abt intakes, it was out of pocket bc it was my fault the strut bent so i dount theyd say anything anyway
Bro fucking incredible video, I have been scouring the internet for how to use the wiper selector for maps and finally you have showed me how. Also I'm super new to this so all your information was extremely valuable, thanks.
hey, just a quick question So you can run downpipes with the jb4 at the same time without giving it a CEL right? do you have to do anything specific for them to work together or is it something that I don't have to worry about at all. Looking to get both done soon, thanks
Thank you for your video! Do you use the stock spark plugs, or aftermarket/modified ones? Did you have any problems with the warranty regarding the +3psi boost?
Aftermarket Ones, havent needed any warranty work yet so im not sure, jb4 is “supposed” to not trigger or store any signs of extra boost in the car anyway so ideally the dealership cant see. But ive yet to have ti any issues that would require warranty work so cant be too certain
hi it's not just the jb4 i will also need JB4 Bluetooth Wireless Phone connection and JB4 PNP Fuel Wire Adapter on all videos on youtube, i have not seen anyone installing JB4 PNP Fuel Wire Adapter to the stinger v6
How much WHP you get with 93 Octane only, im up in Canada we don’t got no e85 here. Do you think its still worth tuning? How much WHP with 91 oct and 93 oct, if yk?
@@ShotBySukh just do intakes with big mouth snorkels, secondary cat delete (wont throw any codes) and run map 1 or map 2 and you will be over 400 whp and 480'ish torque. this will vary a little depending on dyno, temperature and whether your car is rwd or awd.
I did at first but now i do them myself to make sure they’re done correctly. I just uploaded a video on how to change them if you want to see how i do it.
When connecting to the JB4 via bluetooth are you still able to use apple car play via a wired connection at the same time so both are connected simultaneously?
Yes. Its a little time consuming but not too hard. If i ever get around to changing mine again ill make a video or if someone wants to do it and lends me their car.
Great informative video Thank you. Question(s): did you install this tune because you race your KS, or, just for the heck of it. also, are you not concerned with regards to warranty? you still have years left that could be voided if that thing fried something. I updated my plugs to HKS M45iL plugs. that's about it! I considered a hot air intake, however, some research shows it won't do much as far as adding more air regardless of the intake size to the turbos, the turbos won't allow anymore air in than what a stock intake would. anyway, lots to consider. if I can get past the idea that it won't void my warranty, I would jump on this. who knows, maybe ill still have this car when the W expires and I won't care as much. Anyway, great stuff. thanks for the info and time you put into this.
I installed because i cant not tinker with my stuff. Truthfully i dont really race except the rare exception. For the most part i keep it stock but its nice to put on a higher map and get that fast car feeling you lose after driving the same car everyday. In terms of warranty lots of guys have been running these things a lot harder then i do and have had no issues. Plus jb4 map1-map 2 are pretty minor unless you start doing more like water-meth. Im confident the car will last me longer then ill last the car(probably buy something new in 3-4 years)
I thought it would be 10x harder to install the jb4. You made it easy to follow and understand. Thanks!

Came back to like the video after my jb4 install. The wiper map switch is clutch!
You have the best stinger videos I’ve seen. Easy to watch, no rambling, clear info. Great video!
Thanks for watching, appreciate it!
Love your video. How did you get the plug n play for the fuel wires. I don't really like tapping into oem harness

What's repairs did your car go in for, and did they say anything about the intakes? Thanx

i have jun bl secondary downpipes with no CEL running with jb4

375 to the wheels on map 2 with the jb4.
@@JulianWithAnX is that with intercooler swap or stock intercooler
@@JulianWithAnX and if you were to swap intercooler with BMS or mishimoto, how much whp would it be then?

Hey Julian, did you change the sparks yourself or brought it to a mechanic? I heard there is one spark which is really hard to get to.
I did at first but now i do them myself to make sure they’re done correctly. I just uploaded a video on how to change them if you want to see how i do it.
Nice, thank you!
Whats stock psi? Vs map1 psi?
Question
How do you program your jb4 maps with your windshield wipers???
Is there any big differences for the 2.0T besides the fuel wire difference?
Best one yet no doubt.
Does it matter which fuel wire gets posi tapped to which adapter?
When connecting to the JB4 via bluetooth are you still able to use apple car play via a wired connection at the same time so both are connected simultaneously?
Finally a decent install video. Thank you.
Thanks!
Right lol. Every other video is so incredibly dog shit. I appreciate this guy more than anything
