Yup. Currently playing Steam games using dualshock 4. Always worry when battery will finish. With this, I have several eneloop rechargeable for backup.
The fact that it uses AA batteries and can accept the rechargeable unit is a plus for me. Rechargeable, built-in batteries have a finite lifespan. When that's up, you buy a new $70 controller. (Read PS4). In this case, you replace it with a new charge and play unit for $25. Plus, if it happens to die on you while playing, just toss in a couple of AA's and keep playing instead of having to plug it in and wait. The included cables never reach from my console to where I sit to charge while I am playing.
All you got to do is have 2 ps5 controller's on a chargeing stand then when 1 dies just put it on the stand and grab the other controller and your good.

You don't get, do you? By having AA batteries, the lifespan of the product is much longer than the ones with a integrated battery. And another thing, you can always buy a set of 4x AA rechargeable batteries, like Eneloop Pro, and change between them, as opposed to having them built-in, and not changeable at all when they eventually will die.
