You right. Getting really annoying.

@@JustJuan731 Do they really need to give a score for you to see this is an Xbox promotion? But if you need to hear the score they basically gave you one, just because Austin roasts IGN straight after doesn't absolve them of it.

@@Roach22 I don't see the problem here. If they have zero issues with the product why not give it a rating. Why are you watching product review videos for? The point of these videos is to give viewers their opinion, go on every product review channel & it will be the same thing.
The thing Microsoft does right, is keeping controller compatibility between different gen of consoles. Much cheaper than having to buy new controllers with every next gen console.
Quail Man people who depend on there parents are so annoying

@Quail Man You look really entitled. Not everyone was raised on silver spoons and thinking 500$ in two shifts is a regular job just shows how out of touch you are. $500 is the minimum wage where I'm from. You are the one who needs to grow up and see the world as it actually is

I like having options when it comes to batteries and all. Once that Internal battery decide that it wants to die completely out, than you have to buy a new controller or replace the battery which is pretty expensive itself
Personally I like the Xbox one model 2 controller with full Bluetooth best. Lots of great deals on them too atm and for me I prefer the road over the disc. The lack of a share button isn't really an issue either as I will be using it for my PC primarily;
“One of the things I really appreciate about the series x controller is that its texture”

The biggest change is no performance hit when connecting to PC via Bluetooth ! Unbelievably tests have been run proving you are losing substantial FPS and numerous increases in Frame time spikes and stutters when using any other XBOX controller via Bluetooth on PC

It’s literally the same fucking controller with a share button that the PS4 controller already had. Wtf Microsoft
Giving users full access to the battery compartment is always the best option.
Get a decent NiMH charger and a 16 pack of high capacity batteries on Amazon and you're pretty much set for life.
Absolutely. Rechargeable AAs are the way to go. They have much better capacity than alkaline batteries and you never have to worry about wearing out any internal batteries either.
Or: I love the xbox one controller; I love the xbox 360 controller
Imo they've had more change then the PS controllers but both feel samey
Anonymous Idea more changes than ps controllers? The new one just added haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, microphone, light bar, speaker. I mean all those are more changes than the Xbox controller IMO.
@@alantran5908 the new generation is polar opposite but before that yes
Anonymous Idea I mean not really if you look at past ps controllers. Xbox seems pretty consistent except the first Xbox controller. 360 - series x/s all have similar designs. Ps4 was pretty drastic too from ps3, added a new shape, lightbar, speaker, touchpad, motion. Ps2-ps3 not that drastic just add sixaxis. Ps2-ps1 was drastic with the joystick.
@@alantran5908 really dualshock ps1-ps4 might as well be the same controller. Most different is the early ps1 without sticks. I think the ps3 to ps4 is slightly more different then 360 to one but all 3 of the first xbox controllers definitely feel distinct to me.
I'd still like it to ship with the Microsoft Wireless Adapter, the 2.4 Ghz wireless is faster than the bluetooth connection
I think the new Shock Blue controller is definitely worth it. It looks awesome and it gives me Sonic vibes.

Hey guys, this is… Austin.
Getting a ps5 ad over a Xbox video is something magical

i love how glasses guy is hilarious and passes it off as just random comments he is saying.
His name is Austin Evans.
Since were talking about controllers I just wanted to say that I really just appreciate the xbox controller vs the ps4 dualshock. The reason I say this is because with the dualshock one problem I always ran into was that Start and Options buttons which are perfectly flush to the controller surface so it makes it pretty difficult to press. And not only that but its a smaller, sort of pill shaped, skinny button so every time I want to press either of the two buttons I really have to look for it on the controllers surface and a lot of the times I would end up pressing on the controller surface itself instead of the actual button since you really cant pinpoint those buttons very well.
Its something very simple but this is a reason why I do appreciate Xbox conttollers.
Those are personal problems, man. Not a knock on the controller because you can't locate a damn button that's clearly visible. Lol
I’ve never had an issue pressing the buttons on the PS4 controller.
Hahahahahaaaha i cant believe the bullshit i jus read. Are u sure your not working for microsoft trying to downplay the ps?? U have to search for the buttons?? Seriously???
Excellent overview of the controller guys. By far the best.
"You can't just toss out 10 out of 10s at the beginning of the video. What are we, IGN over here?"
DAAAAAAAAMMMMNNN. I can feel the burn
I like MS's approach with this controller, very consumer friendly. Innovation in controllers is a little stilted since the 2 stick, 4 face buttons triggers and bumpers format just works so well with everything so they just decided not to fix something that wasn't broken. I think linus said that it'd be good and minimising e waste as the One controllers will work on the Series, which is also a good point.
I don't do any streaming or screen recording so the share button isn't something I see myself using, but compared the the ps4 touch screen it doesn't seem as intrusive an inclusion.
The haptic triggers on the dualsense seems like an interesting idea, but again something that seems very iterative and small as compared to something like the introduction of rumble technobody.
I also am a fan of removable batteries, things with built in batteries inevitability have a limited shelf life, so replacing or using disposables by just sliding the back off is much better than sonys offering for me.
We're truly spoiled for choice this gen though.
games are getting incredibly strong my xbox one x is literally just 6 years old and it can barely run any games without 30 fps
I use rechargable AA's that have a usb under the positive removable cap to re-charge them on an outlet or power bank.

The main reason why people love replaceable batteries is the fact that when your lithium battery gets old you can replace it. My PS4 controller after 5 years can only hold a charge for 3 hours. I use my ps4 as a netflix machine and the fact that it can't hold 3 hours of charge is annoying. My xbox controllers I just replace the lithium battery and it feels like every time.
Great video man!

I hope the fixed the dam sticks because they always get drift easily.
No
Durability is all i care about really, idc if they kept the same design from last gen.
Seriously, I want the quality control improved this gen. I had a great controller (very accurate sticks, every button clicked perfectly) that died after 3 years.
Now every controller I buy has stiff sticks that feel like glue is inside them or Y buttons that don't work a fifth of the time and its infuriating having to buy and return multiple controllers to get that one good one.
PS4 controllers drift easier than XB1 controller
Built-in rechargeable batteries are great until the battery fails or short circuits, which means no alternative power source and having to send away the whole controller and when they cost AU$249 each, they are not cheap. I have the Xbox Elite Series II but I do wish they still keep the option of AA along with a rechargeable / removable battery - this was you have a fall-back option. Options are always good.
Austin: *Says revolution*

Ofc you love series x controller, youre getting paid to say it 😁
I think apple pay people to have their hair gelled over to the right. 99% of male apple fans have hair gelled over to the right.
I was always PlayStation gamer and then decided to buy XBOX one console (which was my very first XBOX console) and the moment I've opened the box (even the box itself i saw in the store) I fell in love with the looks of the whole thing. And then I took the controller into my hands and the very first second I was able to tell that XBOX one controller is way, way better than any of PS controllers. And I had privilege to test both PS4 and XBOX one controller and I can say that my fingers didn't hurt at all after long plays on XBOX one controller, but they did hurt after longer plays on PS4's controller. And one more thing about XBOX one controllers...I like what Microsoft is doing with their controllers. Giving us, the players, options on which power source we want to use for controllers, AA batteries or rechargeable AA batteries or actual rechargeable batteries.
Also, after hours and hours of play on XBOX one controller, no pain felt in my fingers or hands in general. I bet XBOX series X controllers will be even better because as it seems, Microsoft is taking in account ergonomics, and they are taking it seriously. I hope I'll be able to buy XBOX series X or S at some point.
And one last note...AA batteries might seem like trash or old school or might seem cheap from Microsoft...but at least they are always available and easily replaceable. Inbuilt rechargeable batteries are forever built into the controller and once they're dead they're dead and these controllers are not cheap. So it's cheaper to buy the new AA batteries than to buy a new controller. Well done Microsoft.
And a great video. Thumbs up.
I love this channel you are both awesome reviewers and also super reliable thanks great job guys! :) GG 🙏🔥
*Whoever’s reading this I pray you are happy and become extremely successful!*
I'm interested to see if they fixed the Bluetooth issues that the one x controllers had on pc. Brings my fps from 120 all the way down to 4-8 when playing games like Outer Worlds.
No gyro support is pretty disappointing in my opinion.
Why do people ask for gyro?
@@muzlee7479 because most people like it now, developers will not put the option in games until it becomes standard on all consoles, sony has it but you cannot use it because people are stubborn mules, there is nothing wrong with more options, playing doom with gyro is amazing but it looks awful on switch
wεw lαd gyro on switch was game changing for me. The level of accuracy it gave me in overwatch is insane. I think the community is torn between gyro control but I think it’s because a lot of people have never tried it.

Subtle design tweaks make a massive difference. More ergonomics goes a long way. Not even mentioning the latency reduction these controllers bring.
One thing that wasn’t pointed out in the video is that the Xbox One controllers can get a firmware update that will give them the dynamic low latency feature of the series X/S controllers!

Austin: This is the Xbox Series X controller aye
Which one would you prefer to pair with an iPad pro 2020 for gaming? X Box one series S, X or the PS4 Dual shock? Please help!
The Xbox One controller is the best controller out there.
I own one for the Xbox One S and I do also own a Dual Shock 4. The Xbox controller is miles ahead in basically every aspect. Comfort when holding it, its feel in your hand, the semi modularity. Yes, even the AA batteries. If you don't like them, just get the rechargeable battery pack from MS and you won't even know it's there. The triggers are better, the d pad and other buttons are more responsive. The Dual Shock 4's buttons, d pad and triggers are all kind of meh. Too sponge-like and inaccurate. The Xbox controller also has vibration motors in the triggers themselves, which the Dual Shock 4 doesn't have. Also the whole customization options for the Xbox controller are just insane. It's amazing.
So yeah. The list goes on. My point is: If it ain't broken, don't fix it. There is no need to change the Xbox controller, apart from some minor upgrades.
The Xbox controller is genius, whereas the Dual Shock 4 is medium at best. It's a good thing that Sony is designing a new controller. Although it still looks just as uncomfortable to use as the old one.
How do you love it is same like xbox elite controller
I still can't believe they managed to bring back the "D-Disc" design back from XBOX 360 and actually make it good.
Literally the same controller, extra button and a new face for the D-Pad and they are drooling for it. XD
I can't prove it but I might hold the world record for most hours playing video games. I've owned pretty much every console since Atari 2600. I've reached number 9 in the world in solo ghost recon for xbox 360. It took me 3 years playing about 5 to 8 hours a day. I played so much xbox 360 I went through 5 of them(consoles). I got 7500 hours in PUBG alone. I had every nintendo except for the Wii . Sega dreamcast, sega the 32 bit one. I had all the sony playstations except for the first one. I was a bad boy so my parents didn't buy me that one lol. Now I'm looking to get the ps5 but I'm enjoying my pc so who knows if I will get it. I gotta slow down a bit in the gaming but winter is coming now and there's not much to do in the Canadian winter.
