  • What's up guys, this video is another multiple day video of canal fishing early morning before work and weekends. Been trying to film wade fishing videos but that hasn't been working out... but the backwater canals still hold snook! Gotta love neighborhood creek snook fishing, especially when you can sight cast them on light tackle! Be sure to leave a like if you enjoyed this video, and don't forget to subscribe for more FIRE FISHING CONTENT!!!

    Just found your channel. Great videos and I like the way you show the bait and tackle that you're using. The time of day is also helpful. I fish in Brevard County. Good luck and have fun, Mickey

      @@simplefloridafishing no issues with casting it through the guides? im curious what weight braid and what weight mono you typically use for inshore?

      @simplefloridafishing  2 місяці тому +1

      @@ArizonaMMJ I have different rods for inshore I use different lines and leaders on but as long as you tie a perfect uni-uni knot you should have no problem casting through the guides I do all the time, typically for inshore I’ll use 10lb braid with 20lb leader or 15lb braid with 25/30lb leader

      Literslly just lost a giant snook in a canal with 20 yeah you really need like 30 to be safe esp if you're up on a bank

    who the hell uses 20lbs leader when snook fishing? not a real snook fisherman thats for sure, everybody with experience knows that minimum you should ever use is 30 and that is like never you should really always be running 40-50 yea you will get less bites but when you land a decent fish it wont be out of pure luck

      🙋 umm me, I do. From a kayak, you don't want anything pulling you too far, so I use 20lb. That way anything big will just break away.

    • @SkyNetGeneral-
      @SkyNetGeneral- 28 днів тому

      @@J05hFontenot you don’t know how to fish then, first you don’t know what you’re gonna catch so you have to be ready for what’s in the water you’re fishing in. And second if it breaks away, that means you leave the hook in the fishes mouth, you shouldn’t be fishing, bro maybe try PlayStation 5 or write poetry . 😂

      Snook all day. Some bass, but mostly snook. Not big ones, but around 16". The occasional catfish too. Come visit little alligator creek in swfl. They'll bite anything.

      @@J05hFontenot where? I mean if I’m going for snook or tarpon, i use 40 braid and a 30 leader , like I said you don’t know what’s out there .

    • @J05hFontenot
      @J05hFontenot 28 днів тому

      @@SkyNetGeneral- that'd be beach or bay snook. I've seen some reds in the peace river nearby but I haven't fought a tarpon yet. All the salty spots are crowded. I prefer peace when I fish lol
