Great video! It seems as though as soon as I went vegan everyone around me suddenly became a dietitian. Before going vegan I ate hot pockets and chips and no one blinked an eye. Now that I'm eating fruits and veggies and lots of legumes and whole grains my family thinks I'm going to die. Insane. It's only been 24 days but I already know I'm doing this for life. Anyways, you and other UA-camrs helped make the transition super easy. Thank you!
Crazyloveforanimals 16 Lol my friend's mom is just like that. Whenever I see her she likes to go on and on about how I'm crazy, iron deficient, and starving to death. Fun times!
Yeah, some of them will probably never stop saying this. I have several family members who are significantly overweight and ill in a whole load of ways that have been telling me I'm going to get sick for years. They don't even really know what I'm eating day to day, just that there's no animal products. I'm doing fine though, haven't eaten meat since 1992 and no animal products at all for over a year. Well, I have a stable weight within my ideal BMI, and I rarely get ill, and people tend to think I'm about 10 years younger than I am. You think they'd ask some objective questions about what they're doing and what I'm doing, but no, they keep eating the hamburgers and telling me I'm going to get sick :/
I cut out on oils. Feel better. Went to silk and cereal for breakfast instead of bacon, eggs, and cow milk. I feel a lot better. I am/was a hunter and big meat eater. Starting to question things even while eating some meat. Off subject: Your fence is in paint deficiency.
I am 26, Ive been eating large amounts of meat all my life. For about 7 years I have been doing a paleo style diet (avoiding carbs and eating tons of meat, fat and fried foods) and I thought I was just getting older or was depressed. I started to develop early symptoms of MS. I couldnt even stand long enough to cook a meal from knee pain. I am less than one week (about 5 days) into a whole foods diet, almost all of my symptoms have reversed completely. I still have some brain fog though. I am a card carrying vegan now. Your videos are how my eyes were opened. You probably saved my life. Thanks Mic.
I could kiss you for this video. This has been on the forefront of my mind for a couple of weeks, and it is so nice to have real evidence presented instead of bias.
Actually, I have been trying to research another element of the vegan diet, and I am not sure where to start. I want to know if eating vegan helps those with mental illness and disorders. I felt "called" to become vegan without really knowing why. I know that hormones will balance out after abstaining from meat and dairy, but I want to know if there is other scientific evidence that supports a positive change in mental illness after going vegan. Any ideas? Thank you.
Thank you for all that you do! My husband and I have made a lifestyle change and are now on a PBWF/Vegan diet and are feeling better then ever. We cut out all the CRAP!! We are 40 days in and anytime I need to find out anything you have the information and more. The links and everything you give us good or bad are there....Great Job Mic....Keep up your great work! BTW...The Tiny House is looking great! The Nugents :)
I'm a vegan battling autoimmune hypothyroidism, and eating a plant based diet free of gluten helps my symptoms more than anything. What a stupid article! I learned a lot from this video...thanks!
Please Please Please stop the vegan diet! Please I really don't want you to feel depressed and have to deal with all of symptoms. I've been through and from the bottom of my heart please fucking stop. The WORST thing for a person with auto-immune diseases to be eating a bunch of sugary fruits, and carby grains. Those cause a lot of inflammation. Also, you are lacking fat soluable vitamins. Plant vitamins are not bioavailable to the human body. PLEASE LISTEN. I DONT WANT YOU TO DIE.
Bernie Tong 1) you realise that lower carb, lower sugar, ketogenic, grain free, fruit free, legume free vegan diets all exist right? 2) did you miss the above statement of how much a plant based diet has helped this person? 3) all major health authorities declare vegan diets healthy
IMO, new vegans may fail because of social pressure and lack of options, or because they don't know how to do it. For me it's normal as drinking water, but some people may decide to go vegan overnight and eat only lettuce (seriously?! Yes, I heard it with my own ears), than ask "why do I feel so weak?"... or maybe they want so bad a specific food and they feel deprived, and I know that in cities it might be easier to find more vegan options, while in other areas one can diy and eat simple whole foods, but now people is so used to packaged food that they don't even think about going in a different place to find new foods or make foods at home. Or maybe they want to eat like the others in the group. In my opinion we should work more on these issues. Personally, I decided to change my lifestyle 10 years ago and not only my blood tests are perfect, but it helped me to be stronger and do what I want and not what others want me to do. And I know that I can do anything if I want to. And I care even more not only about animals, but about people too. And during these years a lot of my friends and family members became at least reducetarians without even realizing it, and some went vegetarians or vegans. I was never preachy, they simply saw that it was possible to live in this way and being healthy!
I'm so happy I've found you. I just started my transition from vegetarian to vegan and couldn't be more happy! Your videos have helped me tons! Thanks a lot man, cheers from Chile!
Being vegan is saving my life. It took away my high blood pressure and high cholesterol. Completely. My father and my siblings also suffer from these diseases. We were always told it runs in our family. (And to cut down on eggs) I am the only one who no longer has to take medication.
Thanks for this! I have to admit I tend to see articles citing sources as more reliable but I basically never check their references. Thanks for putting the time in and for setting a good example.
Why does the NIH link now say 51% DV for 1/2 cup of carrots whereas in this videos screenshot it says 184% even though the actual RAE hasn't changed from 459mcg did the DV triple since 2017?
Great video Mic. One thing to add, is that some of the vitamins/minerals that are found in animal products are very harmful. For example vit A from liver etc. Has been found to cause cancer, read what happened to the explorers whom ate polar bear liver. The same goes for heme iron. I think this would be another great point to raise. Keep up the great work
James Keegan The polar bear liver is toxic, bc it contains an insane amount of vitamin A in the retinol form... so those eating it die of hypervitaminosis. The poison is in the dose.
Thanks for the well put together video Mike. And those crickets in the background were keeping me on my toes, I was like what's up with my phone audio? 😂
I, 30 years vegetarian and 10 year vegan, had a meeting last week with a couple who are cancer research scientist and made there millions years ago with the American pharma industry... they told me about all deficiencies me and my family, all vegan, have... B12 was the first one... aso.... I told them: I am 53 fit, healthy and a very happy vegan female .... and obviously I am living miracle!!! 😂😂😂 They invited us for lunch... we eat all the veggies and they eat pizza tonnes of cheese on it... the crust was gluten free 😁😁😁😁 very healthy!!!😂😂😂
Authority Nutrition is part of the low-carb camp. If you watch the documentary Merchants of Doubt and Plant Positive's playlists (a few videos of a playlist should suffice if you can't be bothered watching many) on youtube, you'll quickly conclude that the entire low-carb movement has been hijacked by the pharmaceutical and animal agriculture industries in order to discourage the growing plant-based & veganism movements.
Hey Mic- just want to say your videos are THE MOST informative and we're realllllly helpful in allaying my fears and hesitations with becoming vegan again. I was vegan 8 years ago but have been watching your videos (and that vegan couple and Ellen fisher) and always came to your videos when I was doubting the science. Just wanted to thank you for all the work you do and the logic and reason and hard science you infuse your videos with. Thank you for helping me come back.
Hi Mic, I have successfully been vegan for a month thanks to you (and what the health..:- ) Could you please do a video on gluten and another one on water fasting/detox... Thanks!! Keep up the good work.
You are so awesome Mic! I love how informative you are. I wish I could spit facts like You! You seriously drop the "Mic" every video you put out.. lol.
This was a great video man! I've seen alot bullshit about this Vitamin A issue. Didn't do my own research but was obviously certain that it was an exaggeration. Thumbs up.
You can find the Switzerland study online, and none of the vegans were deficient in vitamin A. The results were 1562 ±408 nmol/l where a healthy range is between 500 and 2000. You can cross this of the list of thing to worry about.
I met some friends at Outback. While they had steak and lobster, I tried to preach the gospel while eating a sweet potato, asparagus...I couldn't be a sage like you...I led them to your website :)
Mic, I am eating plant based diet...however where you just dismissed the fact that newly-turned vegans do get colds more often is too quick to make an opinion! When I first turned vegan, I got sick for 2 weeks straight! Down with a cold and coughing incessantly. But after I got zinc and b12 vegan pills and take them daily, I don't fall sick as easily anymore. It may be a different experience for other vegans, but I personally have encountered getting sick more easily at the start.
Great that you are stronger now. Zinc is really something that vegans should think about! Oats, lentils, almonds, mushrooms, cocoa powder, peas, blackbeans, wholewheat etc (not too hard to get if eating wholefoods -obv cocoa powder is not WF but it's great!). I know plenty of vegans that get colds fairly often but I think they always did before the diet change. I've had four colds a year sometimes only to go years without any illness at all. I blame the London underground for disease swapping :D
Yeah this. When I went vegan I was (after 2 weeks) able to breathe much better, less mucus that blocks the nose and less (absolutely no) stomach pain. I have never really gotten sick before I was vegan and it didn't change. Still never sick even though I do stuff like rowing outside on the water during a cold, rainy day. Never sick. The biggest problem is possibly adapting the right foods, like Oak Aitken mentioned above.
Eat a decent amount of antioxidant rich foods like berries, leafy greens as well as fruits high in vitamin C & at least 3 liters of water per day. I make sure of this and in my 9 months of being vegan I've never been close to sick. All of our bodies are different though. Good luck!
Never heard that, found the complete opposite to be true. I used to get a cold or chest infection twice a year at least. Now 7 years vegan and only one dose of Flu last winter.
Hey Mic, im listening to a podcast right now where they interview Dr Steven Gundry, im checking his work and im not so sure what is says is legit, do you know him ? What are your thoughts on his words?
He's got this thing about how lectins are bad (and sells expensive lectin blockers) lol. He's been debunked by Mic and Nutritionfacts.org Here's the links: ua-cam.com/video/e0leFsZc7zY/v-deo.html nutritionfacts.org/video/dr-gundrys-the-plant-paradox-is-wrong/
I know this was from several years ago, but thanks for making this video! I've always been paranoid about going vegan for good because I'm one of those people who is homozygous for BC01 in 3 SNPs. Genetic reports I've used always say, "Consider vitamin A supplementation, especially in Vegan individuals." At one point in time, I was losing my hair and became almost completely bald -- I discovered it was likely a Vitamin A deficiency as Beef Liver capsules fixed the problem and then some. While Beef Liver fixed my hair, I didn't internally feel my best. I also discovered the types of supplements that can push out Vitamin A, such as Vitamin D. I was mega-dosing Vitamin D3 at the time which is likely how I became so Vitamin A deficient in the first place. I now just take a much lower dose vegan D3 supplement. So for people who do become Vitamin A deficient, perhaps they should also consider what supplements they may be taking that could be influencing the balance of other vitamins and minerals.
i think this is interesting but id like to point out that different cereals and plant milks are fortified with retinyl palmitate. Or you can just eat a ton of rae since a few carrots or sweet potatoes a day would prob be enough for even the low converters. Also i've heard that you can get too much retinol and get hypervitaminosis A whereas with beta carotene you can eat an infinite amount of it and just store it in your fat.
Can you please make a video for people who say "high cholesterol isn't necessarily bad for you". Just disproving that, and showing that it does cause heart disease. THANKS!
Goji has more beta carotene or .. vitA than sweet potatoes , it's also high in folic acid ,iron (10mg per 100g) and also high in copper ;) - got anemia ? Eat gojis as well !
Hello Mic, I recently found your channel! I am a teen (14) and my parents have a very closed mind when it comes to veganism. Anything I say about animals being killed inhumanely (I suppose any killing is generally inhumane with a few exceptions) in factory farms is responded to with yelling that I learned all of this from a school setting. But I am able to research and think on my own, I am put down constantly by my parents who grew up on farms, I end up leaving conversations in tears. Even worse I will be moving to rural NY where I will help my grandparents (Who I think care for their animals exceptionally well, no factory-type farming, there are plenty of fields and veterinary care alwaye available) care for black angus used for the intent of selling to market, they don't do actual killing. I would like to become vegetarian, which I believe is something along the lines of not ignesting animal products whilst veganism is not using animal products at all. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong, this is at a glance, I need to do more research on this in general. Becoming vegetarian would be a big step, I need to consider much more before I step into veganism, a whole different world (That is if my defintions are correct... lol.). But the problem is that my parents won't support me at all. Is there anything I can do to stop eating animal products without disrupting them and what they eat or making them go out of their way to buy suppliments (I heard you need B12) and food for me? Do you think (With MUCH more research) that I could pull off being a vegetarian alone? My entire family is against me on this and I want to change, but there is no arguing, frankly I don't even want to talk about becoming a vegetarian with them, please don't suggest I try. For me, I have to eat what is on the table, no buts about it. But I am looking for open minded advice! I would appreciate anything!
Hi, I just wanted to congratulate you on starting and attempting to be vegan while still so young, many of us who became vegans as adults really regret not having done so earlier. Think of the animal lives you will save over the years! While you still live it home, it may indeed be very difficult or even impossible to eat completely vegan, but keep in mind that the definition reminds us to avoid using animals as far as practicable or possible. Maybe you could offer to make a vegan meal (one with legumes, greens, whole grains) and show your parents its value on chronometer, that is has iron, protein, fibre, vitamins? But it is true that there are some parents who won't be swayed. Best of luck to you!!
KindnessAboveAll 2 I appreciate your reply! I would definately enjoy making some vegan meals but I am not completely sure we would have all the ingredients at home and so they would have to go out of their way for me. I have been watching vegan mealpreps however and might be able to make it work if I can show them. But it just isn't a thing that is going to last longterm for them and if I can't get my protiens and things I need for a vegan diet I have no choice but to eat meat or suffer bad deficiancies. Is there a place you reccomend I start to research this and look into my nutritional needs as a vegetarian? I am trying to become more mindful of the products I buy, including food but mostly all items. I also own 3 cats, their diet including meat of course, I have watched videos on this and am not really sure if I would ever be considered Vegan if they themselves are carnivorious.. I also own geckos who I feed insects, but I couldn't find anything on this. No insect suffers (intentional) abuse at my hands, I feed and care for them, and all my reptiles are rescues. That was a bit more unecessary background information but I am still trying to work things out, there are so many things to consider when living a vegan lifestyle, or trying to. Thank you so much!
You're so very welcome! I think a good place to start is the book Becoming Vegan by Brenda Davis and Vesanto Melina. The book How Not To Die by Dr Michael Greger provides more details on the health benefits of veganism, and has some guidelines on what to eat. He also has many nutrition videos on nutritionfacts.org. There are also very informative movies like Forks Over Knives and Cowspiracy. And many, many UA-cam channels and websites. I really like Sweet Potato Soul, Sarah's Vegan Kitchen, Pick Up Limes, James Aspey, Bite Size Vegan, Mic the Vegan (obviously). You'll find ones that speak to you. And you absolutely can be very well nourished on a vegan diet - try eating a healthy, varied, plant based diet (oatmeal, berries, salad, whole grains, nuts, legumes), then enter what you ate in chronometer. I bet you'll see it is far superior to what most people eat as omnivores. As for your pets, this is a bit more complicated. You did get them before you became vegan, so you can't really be expected to get rid of them or not feed them properly (as they are obligate carnivores, unlike humans). Maybe you would rethink getting another cat in the future. Just try to do the best you can with your new information and understanding. I really I hope I've helped a bit! Best wishes!
KindnessAboveAll 2 Oh yes I certaintly know that you can find balance in a Vegan diet however if my parents don't go out of their way to buy the protien filled plant-based foods I need then I must eat meat until I can transition to Vegan on my own. I really appreciate the sources you have given me! I have already found some UA-camrs and am learning some protien rich foods! I really do love and appreciate my animals, I am striving to be a Veterinarian and have already taking classes in this field. I really don't want to eliminate animals from my household, I know that is selfish of me. I would of course always rescue, as I have done with all my animals, but I don't know if I would be considered vegan then? Again, I really appreciate all the advice you are giving, I am going to go check out those channels and books! :) PS. I have heard of many people throwing away products (Other than food) they had prior to being Vegan. Is this necessary? I believe veganism is all about animals and the environment (Plus so much more) so I question why certain things should be thrown away and wasted? Maybe some donate! I appologize for all the questions, you've been such a help and I am working on a transition, if I can with my parents.
Mara Hoyt I would say, don't be vegan. If you are incapable of separating food from animals and thus have a Moral compunction to not hurt eat animals, I would say try to just eat fish and still use diary and eggs. B12 and vitamin A deficiencies are real dangers with a full vegan diet and you can limit the effectiveness and even damage your brain, you can also induce psychosis and dementia, you can also reduce the count of hormones important to your feedback systems that enables growth and many other process, you can also suffer from Early Blindness, Night Blindness, Eczema, dermatitis, whitening and thining of hair (usually among whites this is promiment), and complications in your liver and lungs. If you really are adamant, be certain that you have a support system behind your decision and make sure you form a habit of going to the doctor and getting a check-in.
I find this confusing as I have Intracranial Hypertension and must avoid Vitamin A at all costs. If I go eating all kinds of Vitamin A my Intracranial pressure increases and I risk blindness and stroke.
Zinc, I recognise that. Zinc and the B1, B3, B5 are the ones I got to pay attention to personally. I have to add, that I have problems eating enough sometimes, so that contributes greatly to this.
Had a few less than positive chats about nutrition recently, including "all-the-nutrients-missing-from-plant-based-diets". You were my go-to for reliable evidence to remind myself I'm not going to waste away 😂 thanks Mic!
I was concerned about getting too much vitamin A actualy, because in cron-o-meter they always tell me I'm like 200% daily recomended quantity............
I see so many comments below this video about the sun wearing sunglasses, it makes me wonder if these disracted people understood the message of this video. Like always, great job MIC!
Not sure if you have any control over which ads play before your video, but an ad for some type of Hillshire Farm smoked sausage came up when I click play on this video.
So the question that comes to my mind is if a omnivorous diet is so great for you and you get all the vitamins and minerals from your food why is the vitamins market such a booming industry since apparently it is only vegans and vegetarians that need to take supplements?
...and here I'm actually worried about consuming too much vitamin A. I don't even try but every time I track my nutrition I go over the recommended intake halfway through the day.
My skin is orange skin as a vegan -I eat a huge amount of greens -and cruciferous veggies and have Spirulina -I do eat carrots and maybe a bite of sweet potatoes
People over age 65 have a lowered capacity to convert beta-carotene. Should they “elderly vegans supplement with rentnol? Also, I don’t have the study but in front me now. But there a populations from Europe that have difficulty to no ability to convert beta-carotene. Is there a Vegan- source if retinol?
I don't know why people keep making these 'entire diet arguments', saying 'this diet provides you enough of this vitamin', or 'this diet can make you deficient in this mineral', and so on. Individual's diets vary hugely within each group, so adopting - or avoiding - diets that are defined in such broad terms like 'omnivore' or 'vegan' and hoping for the best is pretty flimsy logic. What we really need to do is look at our own, personal diet. Computer software like cronometer makes this easy to do, just enter the foods you eat each day and it calculates the results for you. I've used this information to balance my diet by eating more of the foods that improve it, and less of the ones I don't need as much. With the exception of B12 - I take the supplement for that - I'm getting the required amount, or more, of everything I need from plants. Why make diet choices based on internet and magazine articles when real information is so readily available :)

Mic - For a non-physician, you're really on top of this information! Very impressive. Thanks for all the work on these!
He is not like the first one was wrong because if you got 69% less that is not accounted for beta cartenoids conversion normaly that is like 1:8
He's NOT. He claimed that "most people" are in a wheelchair 10 years after an MS diagnosis! :-(

............... Did anyone else see those sunglasses? And I'm willing to risk these "deficiencies" on a vegan diet. It's better than eating meat.
omg yes it was creepy
Lauren It was!
Please respond to Dr. Eric Burg's debunking of What The Health. He also believes that grass fed red meats are healthy.
The Horny Vegan Not even sure he's a real doctor tbh...
xHaniffax he's not, he's a chiropractor
The Horny Vegan yes I've been waiting for someone to destroy Eric berg
The Horny Vegan yes!Ive been spaming VG to respond to him and everyone ignores me and now even Horny Vegan realized that he is a problem
Yeah, I got banned from his channel for politely correcting him.
Thank you for the research and info!!! Very useful for any rebuttals 😊

HAHAHAHAHAAHHA the sunglasses that you put on the sun at 1:13 absolutely perfect!! 👌
It's great that you're putting this stuff out there, man. Nice job
They invited us for lunch... we eat all the veggies and they eat pizza tonnes of cheese on it... the crust was gluten free 😁😁😁😁 very healthy!!!😂😂😂
We are in hell.
#Loyal keep it up mic, super useful videos always :)
I regularly come back to your older videos❤
I just love looking at your face. But I still manage to pay attention to what you say
Is "Healthline" connected to the meat/dairy industry? What is the reason for this article if not?
Authority Nutrition is part of the low-carb camp. If you watch the documentary Merchants of Doubt and Plant Positive's playlists (a few videos of a playlist should suffice if you can't be bothered watching many) on youtube, you'll quickly conclude that the entire low-carb movement has been hijacked by the pharmaceutical and animal agriculture industries in order to discourage the growing plant-based & veganism movements.
Thnx for this :)
Beautiful background. I love it when you film outside. It's so much more relaxing.
I need to say this: I love you :D
I just love your style of video-making :) Makes me smile all the time.
Thank you for helping me come back.
were* not we're
I like your outdoor setting, and the nature noises in the background :)
Love your clear, engaging and well-researched videos!!
Thanks! Glad you appreciate them.
once again Mic, amazing video!
Hi Mic,
I have successfully been vegan for a month thanks to you (and what the health..:- )
Could you please do a video on gluten and another one on water fasting/detox...
Thanks!! Keep up the good work.
I'm eating zucchini noodles while watching this.
Floyd Freud do you mean...like...ZOODLES?!? :O **dramatic sound effect**
Floyd Freud dude you need calories man
YOU'RE GOING TO VEGAN HELL
Floyd Freud fail
Wrong way, Jose.
Mic, you are so inspiring. I admire your passion and presentation style. Thank you for your hard work.
Sunshine be chillin' in the back 😎
I'm not aware of any major dietetics or health organization which deems Vitamin A a nutrient of concern for vegans. It's bunk.
Tooth enamel and vitamin A? I work in dentistry and haven't heard any correlation before.
You are so awesome Mic! I love how informative you are. I wish I could spit facts like You! You seriously drop the "Mic" every video you put out.. lol.
You're super good at what you do! 😁👍🏾👍🏾
This was a great video man!
I've seen alot bullshit about this Vitamin A issue. Didn't do my own research but was obviously certain that it was an exaggeration.
Thumbs up.
Are you in the midwest? I can hear the cicadas in the background! LOL
lol yeah I am. Iowa right now.
I've been 80-100% plant based for 3-5 years by now if I had to guess but my lab results say my vitamin A is slightly above normal. hmmmmmm.....
Ooooo outdoors. Nice "backdrop" change. Thanks for all your videos!
I see you already addressed this! Thanks
I like the outdoor setting Mic!
LOVE IT.
You keep it real
I actually got so much energy- like I've never experienced anything like it. I ate fairly healthy before. I guess its very personal.
I feel smart just listening to this. Not sure I understand any of it but anyhow
Your videos really are excellent bigman :)
He's been debunked by Mic and Nutritionfacts.org
Here's the links:
ua-cam.com/video/e0leFsZc7zY/v-deo.html
nutritionfacts.org/video/dr-gundrys-the-plant-paradox-is-wrong/
Those sunglasses around 110 bugged me out, rewound 5 times to double check😂
Can you please make a video for people who say "high cholesterol isn't necessarily bad for you". Just disproving that, and showing that it does cause heart disease. THANKS!
I was told (by a chiropractor so IDK how real this is) that I have a low level of Zinc. How would I fix that?
By testing it to see if it is actually low. Pumpkin seeds are a good source.
I eat 75g of pumpkin seeds every day, you can get 60g daily and work up the courage to 100g.
Thank you for being the voice of reason and fact 🙏
Goji has more beta carotene or .. vitA than sweet potatoes , it's also high in folic acid ,iron (10mg per 100g) and also high in copper ;) - got anemia ? Eat gojis as well !
"Vitamin A deficiency" LMFAO 😂😂😂

I appreciate your reply!

Oh yes I certaintly know that you can find balance in a Vegan diet however if my parents don't go out of their way to buy the protien filled plant-based foods I need then I must eat meat until I can transition to Vegan on my own.
PS.
I have to add, that I have problems eating enough sometimes, so that contributes greatly to this.
can we please *please* have peer reviewed journalism?
The sunglasses freaked me out for a second haha. I had to rewind and make sure I actually saw them.
Had a few less than positive chats about nutrition recently, including "all-the-nutrients-missing-from-plant-based-diets". You were my go-to for reliable evidence to remind myself I'm not going to waste away 😂 thanks Mic!
I feel like everything I read one of those articles they are thinking "this time we've got them for sure" and they never do.
I think that bug in the background was trying to get a word in lol.
...and here I'm actually worried about consuming too much vitamin A. I don't even try but every time I track my nutrition I go over the recommended intake halfway through the day.
I'm deficient in cholesterol and saturated fat.
lol at "if you were one of those super duper crappy converters..." @3:10
I just read this. Thanks for this video!
My skin is orange skin as a vegan -I eat a huge amount of greens -and cruciferous veggies and have Spirulina -I do eat carrots and maybe a bite of sweet potatoes
THANK YOU MIC
Lol @ those "sun"glasses 1:13
People over age 65 have a lowered capacity to convert beta-carotene. Should they “elderly vegans supplement with rentnol?
Also, I don’t have the study but in front me now. But there a populations from Europe that have difficulty to no ability to convert beta-carotene. Is there a Vegan- source if retinol?
Your research is so tight!!! But the titles scare me every time
before i was vegan i got sick for at least a day now i get sick for at the most half an hour once a month or less and its just feeling a bit dizzy
The first one was wrong because the conversiom was 69% less and you think that the conversion was 1:1 while its alot lower some studies suggesting 1:8
no, he didn't assume a conversion of 1:1. Please watch the video again.
Weird background noises around 7:20 and then louder at 8:13. Creeped me out at first.
I find this confusing as I have Intracranial Hypertension and must avoid Vitamin A at all costs.
These health blogs keep making up theoretical issues for new vegans, which don't even occur among actual vegans to begin with.
Good vid once again
You slayed this one man
Loved the sun-shades at 1:13 :-)
Like the background change Mike!
the sunglasses on the sun in the background ! lol i loved that
What's up with these "health" websites attacking veganism as of late?
Was there just randomly sunglasses superimposed in the background?
Dammit, Mic
Huh? I don't know what you are talking about.
