    Thank you for this guide, Dave. I've been fortunate enough to be gifted a lightly used D7100 so I've been diving deep into these videos.
    You've put in a lot of work for the benefit of anyone who wants to use it. Your efforts are greatly appreciated by all.

    Thank you for this video. I was able to understand the functions of each button much easier than the camera user book. Good job and again, thank you.

    I am not new to shooting with my camera. I have d 5100 with a Tamron 16-300 mm lens. It is set in manual. You control of the shutter speed and aperture . Auto ISO is a blessing. I can hardly wait till my d 7100 arrives.

    I've been shooting in auto mode for years with this camera but am about to take a class that requires me to manually adjust. The manual was like trying to read a foreign language. I'm tremendously appreciative of your excellent and very informative videos which finally make sense of everything to me.

    I came across your website and video's by accident. SO glad I did! I recently bought a new D7100 and like you said, the manual was less than appealing. I only wish I'd have seen the video comparing the 7100 vs 7200 sooner! I would have worried less about my choice. I ended up making the right one though after all. I can't wait to go back and watch the rest of your videos! (One suggestion, maybe clean up the fingernails/cuticles before filming another video with your hands/fingers. :) It was kind of distracting. Sorry. )

    I am learning the 7100. Great video . In the shooting menu, I have it set to vivid. Some of my pictures of flowers, white and red are bleeding . My pet and people pictures are spot on. Would you suggest I try standard in the shooting menu. Or on photographer suggests I under expose.

    • @ThePhotoShow
      @ThePhotoShow  6 років тому +1

      Hi Don, I would definitely recommend setting to standard. With vivid the camera is adjusting the image for you and it may not work well for some subjects. By using standard you will have a good colour saturation that you can always adjust afterwards. I wouldn't worry too much about underexposing images. Thank you for watching, have fun, Dave.

    Very Comprehensive. Thanks. Between D7100 and D750 which One Do You Recommend?

    • @ThePhotoShow
      @ThePhotoShow  9 років тому

      +Adolph Malatji They are both great cameras, the D7100 has a crop sized, DX sensor whereas the D750 has a full frame sensor so it would depend on which size you are looking for.

    To my knowledge there's no limit to the amount of images that can be stored in a folder. The storage folder just allows you to create a new folder, to separate shoots / sessions etc. Playback folder then allows you to choose what you want to play back images from. So that your wedding photos doesn't get mixed with you boudoir shoots, would be pretty embarrassing if you were showing the images to a client and hadn't had the chance to transfer the images yet ;)!

    • @ThePhotoShow
      @ThePhotoShow  9 років тому

      +ALR Photography The folders do allow you to separate different shoots and sessions but each folder will only hold 999 images, the camera will then create a new folder if your shoot goes over 999 shots.: nikoneurope-en.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1381/~/how-nikon-d-slr-cameras-create-file-names-and-folders-names

    Buying a D7100 with 200k shutter count is risky?

    • @ThePhotoShow
      @ThePhotoShow  5 років тому +1

      Possibly, you could end up paying more to have it serviced than a lower shutter count one would have cost. Good luck, thank you for watching, Dave.
