Thank you for the great tips!! Mart your comment was also very good as I wondered why some settings were grayed out going through the tutorial. I thought it may have been because my battery was low.

Very helpful tutorial and thanks for sharing. My only addition would be that the "Non CPU lens Data" is a very helpful feature if one has older Nikon lenses like I do. I managed to assign my three excellent AIS lenses and now I have matrix metering and Auto ISO using them with the D7100.

Hi! I just bought a Nikon D7100, and have been wondering as to whether I can keep the information display always on my screen. While I know it drains my battery, I have rather bad eyesight and was wondering if there was anyway I could do this? At the moment, I have to press the "info" button to get the screen and it gets tiresome after a while.

I thought that your video 1 & 2 were good. The only thing I had a problem with was that you sipped through. I had to go back over things a number of times. I probably had to go over them so much because this is the first Nikon DSLR that I bought. I used a cannon before.
I would recommend these videos for anyone that buys the Nikon D7100.
    Thank you for your help.

If both the D7100 and lens have AF/M switch, will one over ride the other? In other words, if you want to shoot in manual, do you have to move the both switches on lens and camera to "M"? Or can you leave the lens on "AF" and only change the camera to "M"?

hi thanks for the two-part video so helpful... hoping u can reply to this: followed all the setting just as yours and suddenly many parts of my settings are now greyed out, even though i have set it to manual. Why is this happening, do you know? Even under a - Autofocus setting, i was able to change the ISO, etc etc but when i finished on g - Movie settings, and tried going back to Autofocus setting, all the amendments i was able to make suddenly greyed out... frustrating as i dont know why this is happening. kindly help

    Jibran,
I have a question please: I have a Battery Frip and the order on the battery I have set is the Grip first and then the camera. Yet, for some strange reason, if uses both the batteries and the camera battery is usually depleted more than that in the grip.
    Any suggestions please?
    Thanks,
