The harmony almost, at times, sounds like the ending of metal when Gary numan played with nine inch nails live, and they just jam on that groove. Gary numan with nine inch nails is so good, I wish they would do a collaboration concept album.
I believe an early interview with Reznor he said, he was always (sonically) really inspired by Gary Numan. Although Atticus Ross did alot of the programming. Atticus' music tastes are kind of everywhere. Genius programming btw! It definitely sounded "NiN-Esque". 👍
That’s awesome! It’s a great synth; last year I actually tried and sold the Roland SH-01A, Waldorf Blofeld, etc but kept this one. It is the best analog synth for its price & imo it even beats higher priced ones :)
It’s a sound from Arturia’s DX7 plugin; tbh I don’t know FM synthesis too well, one of the presets should sound very close to what I recorded in the video
Sorry I don’t have the Volca Bass anymore to show, but from what I remember just the 3 osc on, 2 as saw at least? define them a little bit. That should give you a good starting point
This gives off shades of a Gary Numan take. Love it!
