    I’ve been singing for two months now and this has helped me increase my vocal range and helped vocal fatigue. I use this every single day and the rest of your exercises after that. Much improvements. ((:

    One great thing about this warmup is that it's uninterrupted - every exercise is just immediately one after the next. I feel like it's really improved my stamina / endurance more than anything else. Thanks for the wonderful video!

      Edward Gonzales can I improve on vocal range and tone just by doing this warm up everyday?

    • @edwardgonzales2731
      @edwardgonzales2731 7 років тому +19

      Personally, my vocal range can go a few more notes higher than what the video does but I use this video because it's the most comfortable while warming up. I am singer and have had experience with choirs and whatnot but I do think this has helped me in general. I would suggest using this video for you BASIC warm up and then search around on the channel page for your desired interested! They have videos for high and low singers, belting, and more technical stuff as well. Everyone is different and I think you just got to go out and search what works best for you. If you are someone who is wanting to get into singing and feels that you need more training then do more searching but most DEF use this for warms because it's the core of singing.

    Hey, are you also reading through comments while doing vocal warm-ups?
    Let me give you something to read:
    Tips for better singing:
    - Stretch your tongue and your chest.
    - Do not drink milk/eat anything with milk in it [ Ice cream etc... ] 24hr before singing.
    'cause it's gonna clog your throat which will make it harder for you to sing.
    - Use vocal fry and vocal riff and runs. Not only it sounds better, but it also makes you sound like a professional
    - BE CONFIDENT flat singing voice and cracks are mostly 'cause of insecure singers who are afraid of anyone hearing them.
    Tips for soundproofing.
    If you're afraid of anyone hearing you, make your room more soundproof.
    - [ FOR THE WARM-UP / EXERCISES ONLY ] Put your hand above your mouth so your voice can get warmed up while doing the vocal warm-up, it won't make much of a sound.
    - Put carpets on the floor
    - Use thick blankets and put them on the door. They should cover the door.
    - Put a lot of furniture in your room, so the vibrations don't go any further.
    - Put thick blankets over your head. It sounds silly but hey! if you're alone why not?
    These tips help you make your room more soundproof. The vibrations of your singing voice won't go any further if you use one of these techniques listed above. It won't go any further 'cause the vibration will lose energy over these elements.

    My voice has gotten so much better with your exercise videos. I typically do this one, then the video for vocal tone and the one for resonance to finish it off. Your videos are straight to the point and really work!
    Have been practising with these videos for about 4 months mainly to improve my speaking voice and I have already noticed a permament change. I have way more resonance then before and it gets better with each day, my voice has become more authoritative, louder and Im already developing a natural vibrato. Thanks a lot!

      Keep practicing. Experiment with using different parts of your voice. Your voice isn't one thing, there's infinite different ways to tackle each note. One technique isn't good enough to sing every note optimally in every song. Just explore and keep practicing.

A lot of today’s musicians, like Ed Sheeran or Charlie Puth, couldn’t hold a note to save their lives lol but they worked hard and now look where they are. Keep trying.

  • @Egie2007
    @Egie2007 6 років тому +21

    Hello, can someone help me? I started singing and composing music early this year, and discovered I have a pretty good vocal range ( From D3 to C6 ). When I sing the notes alone, it sound fine, but when I sing songs, when I move from note to note sometimes, one of them sounds flat. At the end of my singing, my high notes sound airy, and my lows hurt. I can barely get my breath out, and it feels like i'm holding something in. Does anyone know how to fix this?

    • @mayers7163
      @mayers7163 6 років тому +2

      Sounds like you need to work on your diaphragm strength and learn about vowel resonance?

    • @Natalie-ee8hn
      @Natalie-ee8hn 6 років тому +3

      +I love anime For the pitch one, I think you just need to work on pitch precision (if that's what it's called). Something my teacher does is singing a song (usually Yesterday by the Beatles) with very staccato notes. I think it just has to do with practice. Sometimes repeating the intervals works as well (for example if you have a C to an A, repeating that jump over and over can help, and it will improve your muscle memory for that interval). About your high notes sounding airy at the end of your singing, it might be your voice tiring. If it hurts, don't sing it. Your voice is a muscle. I strained my voice pretty badly a while back and was told to treat it like an athlete would treat a sprained ankle. If something sounds wrong, don't go for the extreme notes. Work on engaging your diaphragm when you sing and breath support. Before you sing, try taking extended breaths and practicing some breathing exercises. Relax your body as well. Remember to drink lots of water! If you drink decaf tea, try lacing it with honey. I hope you'll be able to find a solution and good luck with your composing! :)

      To help put your index fingers on both your cheeks and push your cheek skins slightly towards your lips while pushing up as well.

    • @youtuber7186
      @youtuber7186 7 років тому +17

      No, it's definitely not. Falsetto is a special type of co-ordination and isn't included in the full register from chest to head voice. Mix is mixing chest and head voice into a blended sound using each respective voicing's characteristic muscle co-ordination simultaneously in a sort of balance to prodouce a deeply resonating, yet higher pitched sound.

As I can see in your channel, there are a lot of videos covering different topics like vocal warm up, falsetto, resonance, etc. However, for the most benefit, can u suggest a sequence of practicing these, or should I practice whatever i feel up to? it kind of depends on where your voice are at..for example if you feel like you need to control the dynamics of your voice better, then do the dynamics exercise. So you should try to see what you are lacking and then use the exercises to get better, or maybe just to make sure that you are still in training.
