I used baking soda to get rid of 6 tumors. It only took a couple of months. After that there was one really large 19cm tumor left that I had out with surgery. But when they got to it, they found no other cancers and hence no chemo or radiation. That was 14 years ago.

I know person that had stage 4 colon cancer. Nothing from the doctors worked and they sent her home to die. However after doing the baking soda protocol for only 2 weeks they could only find scare tissue. To this day years later she is still cancer free!
I have been using baking soda mixed with coconut oil, peppermint oil and myrrh oil as a toothpaste for more than a week now and I see a big difference. My teeth became whiter, my gum inflammation has decreased. Before I brush my teeth, I do oil pulling, I mix olive oil and cloves with garlic. It made a big difference. Also consume natural prebiotics, keffir, yoghurt, yakult etc.
Totally agree, apart from the end of your comment. Either make your own probiotics from raw live milk, make your own live cultures for yogurt from fresh organic chilli or lemon and purchase high quality Kefir grain, to make your true Kefir. The main ingredient in supermarket probiotics (especially Yakult & Danone) is ........ sugar. They contain no live healthy bacteria, as they are destroyed through the pasteurisation process. As most of us know; the more processed the food is, the more toxic it is to our bodies.
I am 70 and use baking soda at one teaspoon daily or more and my health is perfect. When you remove acidity and live alkaline like I do even at my age I heal faster than I grow old. Question, is the 1 to 3 acidity because of our eating a lot of acidic foods, or is it natural. I drink my baking soda in water and have no health issues at all. This is my second year of doing this and I will never change back I feel so good.

I have been suffering with “asthma” and joint pain in my lower back, shoulders and wrists. All my conditions have inflammation in common. I don’t care what this guy says, all I know is that since having my gallbladder removed in 2003 I’ve suffered years of acid reflux, endured painful bouts of gerd that would last for weeks, had countless procedures, barium meals, gastroscopies etc then I started using bicarbonate of soda my gerd has gone, completely not had it for 6 months.
My mom had gallbladder stone last 3 yrs ago. She’s afraid of surgery and we don’t have enough money to pay to the hospital for her surgery so I was trying to search some herbal medicines and she tried it maybe she drink the herb for 3 weeks and when she had her laboratory results again the stone vanished, her gallbladder is clear.

I am being driven crazy by all these experts. I see a few video's, all saying something is really good for you, then I buy that product and start using it, only to see someone else telling me that the product is really bad for you.

I have around 2 teaspoons in the morning with about the same amount of lemon juice mixed into a small amount of warm water. I do this about 45 to 60 mins before i have breakfast. I also have the same thing around one hour before bed. I have not had stomach problems since i have been onto this regimen
I take 1/2 teaspoon baking soda, dissolved in 2 tablespoons of Bragg's apple cider vinegar. Once it is dissolved, no more fizzing, I add 8 ounces of water. I drink this every morning. I do not have, nor did I have, acid reflux!! After taking this my blood pressure went down. I'm diabetic, my A1C went from 6.5 to just below 5. It is helping me.
Oh gawd thank you for your post! Honestly acv actually helped me but I never could get over the taste. My husband became ill and I been stree-eating and have gained 45 pounds onto my already overweight frame! But I’d vowed NEVER to go back to acv. But after reading your post, that statement just ain’t true!
I heard too that a gentleman on UA-cam used baking soda to lower his a1c. Crazy though, he added a little lemonade because he had heard adding lemon juice helped lol. Squeezing a lemon is not the same as adding lemonade silly man. Still, his a1c changed he said but as a diabetic I would think lemonade would spike his blood sugar at that moment.
@@nappyscribe1987 The Bragg ACV is not as bad tasting as others. My opinion. After a few days, the taste becomes good! It is important to add the water! I use a regular pint canning jar!! Lol After the ACV dissolves the Baking Soda, I add good clean water, NOT out of the faucet! Up to the shoulders of the jar, an inch and a half or so from the top. If you have a whole house filter or something like that, the water should be fine. Our water here in TN., smells like BLEACH!! I don't use it except to wash clothes and flush the toilet!! I have filters on my showers as well!
Baking soda has been very effective at solving my back pain. I read a few studies that indicated it is a very effective anti-inflammatory and helps arthritis pain.

We all know that there are plenty of doctors who are C grade doctors, just passed the med school and don’t know much about diagnosing patients, thereby experimenting on them by prescribing wrong meds. You Dr. Berg are not only knowledgeable but also very thorough about explaining GERD. Millions of people suffer everyday from this problem and if you ask the doctors they never give you a good explanation; instead they will prescribe Nexium, Prilosec etc. I’m sure after this video people will finally know exactly why, where, and why they have acid reflux. I don’t have acid reflux anymore, but I used to have it but I never took any pharmaceutical drug for that. However many people in my family has this problem and I helped them to get better. When my wife has acid reflux in the middle of the night I mix her a glass of two teaspoons bicarb in warm water with a squeeze of lemon - and it’s gone within seconds!!! Way more effective and cheaper than your prescription meds!
Rob Ervine he advised against taking too much bi carb on a regular basis ( occasionally it’s ok ) and suggested apple cider vinegar which IS a natural home remedy ( I would always suggest organic too ) 🌻
I am over 65. After being on Keto for a while I started getting gout flare ups every couple of months. Regular doses of Baking soda helped but I think it made my stomach too alkaline so I could not digest proteins and fats. I started taking HCL with protein meals and it solved both my problems. I haven't had a gout attack in six months and I can digest proteins as long as I take HCL. Thanks to Dr. Berg.
Is your Keto diet heavy or moderate on red meat? Remember that ketones can compete with uric acid in the kidneys. Did you begin with the flares after starting Keto? What brand HCL are you using?
I am not that fond of red meat I have some maybe once every two weeks. My protein intake was not high at all. When I ate a meal with say 3 ozs of protein I would feel bloated and did not feel like it was digesting for 7 to 8 hrs. I take NOW Betaine HCL. I take one tablet for every 6 grams of protein so If I have a chicken breast I take about 3 or 4 capsules. The flares started when I was on keto so I gave it up for a while but started putting on weight so I found this solution and I am back on keto and can eat beef,shrimp etc. which previously would immeditely start the ache in my big toe.
You raise an interesting point. Whether BS or ACV is the solution to your digestion issues may depend on your diet. Every person's body is different as well, we don't all eat the same.
I’ve been taking baking soda for my past53 years. While I was pregnant 4x for my acid reflex and baking soda to this day has brought me comfort. Sooooo sorry to contradict you. If it’s not for every one🤷🏻♀️for me works wonders.
I don't take it anymore for acid reflux because after I changed my diet and drastically reduced my intake of mass produced bread (poison) and sugar (high fructose corn syrup), I stopped having acid reflux. But before that I took Bob's Red Mill baking soda. It doesn't have aluminum like Arm & Hammer. When I reduced bread and sugar by about 95% weight began to literally fall off me. I've lost close to 40 lbs in less than a year just from reducing those 2 things, plus I had already quit sodas for the most part.
Baking Soda taking the right way can improve and save your health. I'm 70 and not on any prescriptions, so I know what I'm talking about and I research everything.

I measured the Ph of my family's drinking water and it was acidic so we decided to put the tip of a tea spoon in a gallon to make it neutral. I've been doing it for 3 years now. Is this ok to do? Also, I used to suffer from acid reflux and bloating etc.. I never took medications but I would put the tip of a teaspoon in a 8oz glass and the symptoms would disappear in 30 minutes or less. I continued once daily after lunch because the symptoms had completely vanished. I eventually stopped because I no longer have symptoms. I am now 2 years free of symptoms without taking baking soda daily after lunch. So basically it healed my acid reflux. A comment would be greatly appreciated thanks
When I had gastritis from time to time, my stomach would get bloated and hurt. Taking a pinch of baking soda stirred in warm water for a few days got rid of the bloating. Worked every time. I tried medications but they would not work as fast. The recommended amount is 1/4 teaspoon per morning on empty stomach but I took way, way less than that because I didn’t want the side effects.
jim bob that sounds like a lot of bicarbonate to consume . I personally only take roughly quarter of a tea spoon in about Half a glass of filtered water 💦 ( recommend using a portable Berky filtering system , distillers are expensive to run and last only a couple of years at £145 a time to purchase , not worth the money and big and bulky and take hrs to distill the water , the Berky takes 10 mins ) 🌻

@@rigobryant8050 you name it I had it, besides stomach problems I had joint pain, I can literally eat something and within 15-20 minutes get severe joint pain or even shooting joint pains through my fingers, ankles, back of my neck shoulders and then I could take activated charcoal and when it's 30 minutes to an hour and it will be completely gone so it's something in my stomach. also had a lot of brain fog short term memory loss any type of starch or carbohydrate would bring those on and for a while I had a lot of skin problems reactions light red patches dandruff stuff like that. I still have it, it just got allot better, I've know for years it's all about Acid Alkaline balance. Depending on if I'm acid or alkaline I'll go from (Acid) sleeping 4 hours in the middle of the day to (Alkaline) having so much energy I work out 2 or three to four times and still want to do more, no nap and only sleeping 5 hours a night but feeling great.

If I were you I would find a doctor be it medical or homeopathic and talk him/her into giving me B12 shots intramuscularly. The B12 complex it is better for the body and absorbs better also. Most doctors don't know there is a huge difference between the different forms of B12 and always give the cianocobalomin which does not absorbs well. The one you want is methylcobalamin. Sorry but I can't spell those words. I am not a doctor and I am not prescribing anything just sharing what I have learned. B12 deficiency mimics several neurological disorders.

a month ago i consistently have pains on my lower stomach specifically on kidney area. i was worried i might have kidney stones i hurts when i touches it.. then i tried to use baking soda on my water. after drinking 3-4 hours later the pain disappears and it never came back until now. i read that baking soda can dissolve kidney stone build ups so i tried it and i think that helps me a lot and saves me in trouble until now baking soda is on my water. no side effects seen so far,. afterall drinking baking soda will not make ur stomach alkaline completely because it will only stay there for a moment until it was thrown to intestines and absorb by the body.
... unless you've had your gall bladder removed, it's job is to store bile which is stomach acid, then when you eat, it releases that bile into the stomach to process the food. Without the GB your Liver drips continually bile directly into the stomach wether there's food in it or not, without the full flush of bile the GB would have provided, your stomach no longer is able to fully process the vitamin and nutrients and fats as before, therefore you have a tendency to be low in Vit A, B12, D, K and processing some fats to name a few, it also affects the stomach acid balance too.
Drinking a glass of baking soda water every morning helps me recover after dialysis. My kidneys thank me for it so they dont have to process those acids. Also i have stopped having nausea. Just 1 tsp each morning and i feel terrific.
My mother took baking soda every day and just lived to be 94. She said it made her stomach sweet what ever that meant. But a teaspoon every day didn`t hurt her.

And my husband takes ACV and i works perfect for him. I don’t know what is with my body, im 39, 65kg but only my stomach is bloated last 10 years. When i 1 tea spoon soda 4-5 days with water a little before and 20-30 min after eating is is amazing! I’m just afraid to take it more that 3-4 days a month. I drink this one tea spoom for whole day for 3 meals before and after. With ACV i get more bloated, more reflux, heartburn and metal taste in my mouth.

Thank you SO much for posting this. I had thrush, and people were telling me to take baking soda, and I did. Thankfully, a friend sent her nutritionist friend over, and she said "Stop the b.soda. It is buffering your already too buffered stomach. " I stopped it, and although it took a couple of years, I made a full recovery. To all those who come here searching for answers, unless your saliva ph is around a 4, you could take b. soda for years and not notice you are making the stomach more alkaline until you get thrush, or GERD, or whatever - leaky gut, yup, I had that, too. I'm not looking to argue with anyone, just hope to help, and support Dr Berg's advice.

I keep trying to explain to my 82 year old mother she should try ACV, but she refuses saying it would upset her stomach. She's used baking soda for years, for her upset stomach. The Drs don't help, they just throw pills and treatments her way. Ugh.
mickyunit - maybe she would agree to try ACV capsules? My neighbor tried them and it's been working well for her. She takes one before a meal. Crazy how a little thing helps. She also takes one of Dr. Berg's Bile salts *after* that meal. I'm the "crazy nutrition neighbor," but we figured it wouldn't hurt to try! She's a trooper, and now on her 2nd bottles of both supplements.

I had gurd for a while and was prescribed Prilosec. I also started eating yogurt and fiber. I stopped taking the Prilosec after a couple weeks but keep eating yogurt and fiber. I haven't had gurd since.
I used to get bad indigestion and acid reflex almost daily. At night baking soda would nock it out. Once I started a little AVC and water in the mornings it all went away in a few days. No more indigestion at all, even if I eat chili. May not work for everyone, but it does for me and several people that I’ve told it to.

In India baking soda has been used for ages. It is used in idlo, dosa and other food items. People have lived long without any other ailments. ENO salt a combination of citric acid and sodium bicarbonate is best cure for acidity & constipation.
Baking soda cured my gout the first time 20 years ago in three days. I found home remedy on some obscure forum on the internet. The doctor wrote me a prescription but I did not like the side effects. Fast forward 15 years and my fibromyalgia got really really bad the pain was just like gout in every joint and I suffered for a month barely able to move. The doctor told me all this is your new normal and I was like oh hell no so when I went home I started thinking what is different what is wrong and I thought it every joint feels like my toe did back years ago. I'm healing from stage 4 congestive heart failure. I'm attempting to lose the need for pharmaceutical diuretics. I responded to a high salt diet very well (plus the keto and carnivore diets). In the hospital I was forced into a 3 month food fast because I was subjected to a low salt diet caused digestion problems ("The Salt Fix" book helped). I learned from my naturopathic connections that thiamine is the solution to congestive heart failure. The vitamin B1 corrected the heart difficulty. My cardiologist was stumped. Now, I'm attempting to take some weight off. Converting fat to CO2 and H2O is easy but the water likes to stay. I've started drinking water with salt and apple cider vinegar in it. It seems to be working as well as the strong diuretic the doctor gave me did. My weight is dropping. In generalities, what am I not seeing?
I searched this because I just washed a vid about a 100 year old lady that survived the last pandemic of asian flue, she said her mother would give them all soda and water in the morning and they were the only family to survive in the little village, she thinks the soda was the reason , food for thought eh ?
My doctor prescribed ibuprofen for my inflamed joints until i had an ulcer...she told me to eat with them and it'd be fine!! I eventually cured my inflammation with ginger and chili. I also take baking soda. I have about zero confidence in doctors.
@@1salahudin hi, i looked up natural anti inflammatories, the 2 things on the list i had in the cupboard was ginger (tea bag form) and some dried chili (just the usual dried supermarket chili you find in the spice section. I made the ginger tea and sprinkled a few chili flakes into it. (not too hot to drink) The relief was instant. It worked for my sister too Ive cut out dairy and use oat or nut milk (Though im still partial to cheese :) The key to managing inflammation is diet, certain things are triggering and others prevent. If you type natural anti inflammatories into YT, there are quite a few good videos showing what to eat and what to avoid. But the ginger and chili are what worked for me and my sis. Good video but from my experience some cases of advanced ulcers or stomach cancer, apple cider vinegar "alone" can further irritate the condition. That is because the mucosal layer and epithelial layers have been compromised and any acid on the raw tissue can cause further aggravation and pain. This is where 5 percent solution of baking soda several times a day on an empty stomach for a short time can be very helpful. The problem usually arises from a combination of stress, poor diet and/or a low salt diet. You need iodine, zinc, sodium chloride, etc., to make stomach acid. A common scenario is stress with a diet of sweets and grain/flour products. The phytates in the grains generally prevent mineral absorption especially zinc. Zinc is tied directly to the metabolic syndrome including low stomach acid and digestive enzyme production, diarrhea, insomnia, depression, vision, cardiovascular disorders, diabetes, and cancer. Supplementing with zinc and niacin can help restart the endocrine system and alleviate numerous metabolic conditions. We have a DRUG problem in the US .. any town which has several pharmacies .. as in Walmart etc. has a vested interest in selling their Drugs. There is no one in the Pharmacy business making $Money (another drug) off of simple things like Baking Soda or Apple Cider Vinegar. Let me give you a couple simple ways to show you the high value of using Baking Soda in two very different situations. Think about a battery in your car .. it contains Battery Acid. Corrosion builds up on the terminals and then one day you discover you can't start your car .. until you remove the corrosion. You can make a solution of Baking Soda in water and drip it on the battery terminals and soon the corrosion will be gone. Avoiding grains, are you serious! Grains are part of a healthy diet. You just have to be balanced and avoid grains that have been processed. Instead eat grains and grain products that are organic. Raw sugar in a moderate amount or honey I a moderate amount is healthy. Cutting out all grains is totally unnecessary and can be unhealthy. While in may cut out sugar it can be safely consumed by eating fruits and vegetables.
Thank you for this information. I suddenly began to experience severe Acid Reflex, Heart Burn and Bloating So I've starting to use baking soda. I have to agree with him on this video, I was taking one teaspoon of baking soda every morning because I wanted a high alkaline PH, the problem was, it was not short term. I tried to donate blood one day, and was refused, because my BP was 140/110, I was always 120/80. I immediately stopped the baking soda, I am now back to normal 120/80 and lower, two weeks later I was able to donate again. As they always say, too much of anything is not always better.

Cystic acne can be a result of too much estrogen. I do not know your age but you may need HRT. A good probiotic can help with skin health. Sauerkraut, grass-fed yogurt, Garden of Life brand Primal defense. Also, drinking bentonite clay water and using the same clay in masque form will do wonders. Fast sugar. Stay away from the "white" foods...Also, put a filter on your shower and bath.
I had acid reflux for years. I started to take NaHCo3 and it went away. I realized that the free hydrogen radical in baking soda makes it act as an acid or alkaline. Also fats are digested in the jejunum not the stomach or duodenum, and fats causes a lot of indigestion. The gall bladder also produces an alkaline secretion that can cause acid reflux. The acid effects of the baking soda also dissolved the calcium in my joints and cured my bursitist . I don't suffer with gout or arthritist.

I recently suffered from LPR and I also believe I have elevated histamine levels as I get terrible sneezing in the morning when I first awaken. I take 1/2 teaspoon of potassium bicarbonate during my fasting window. It seems to be alkaline. I breakfast with a cocktail of ACV, juice of lime and lemon .
Here's a thought. I would imagine that taking baking soda would neutralize the acid in stomach and esophagus giving relief however since human body functions are designed in a way to reach for balance (stasis?) this (taking soda) should trigger the stomach to produce more acid and perhaps achieve the desirable pH for digestion.

I've never had acid reflex in my life. I'm a 30-year-old man, and I've been using baking soda once or twice a week mixed with apple cider vinegar and clean filtered water for a decades. My family actually continued this practice learned in our home country. Obviously there is instructions following with the using of this. I was watching another video about the benefits of drinking baking soda and water every day on an empty stomach, and your video provided the right insight and warnings of what would happen if you misuse baking soda and water by ingesting too much. It is always good to know both sides of the story so that a person can make an informed decision before taking "home remedies". I don't happen to have any of the listed health issues that the video suggested that baking soda and water would cure, so I realized after watching your video (it just so happened to automatically play after the other video I mentioned) that by drinking baking soda and water as a preventative measure would probably do more harm than good by causing health problems that I didn't to begin with.

Andrew Hunter i think it helps the kidneys. i took 1/2tsp every 2-3 days. the first week i started i had a slight itch in my lower back over the kidneys. after about a week i had acne appear on my left kidney area. when the acne burst there was a very small ‘chip’ of a hard substance. the acne occurred twice. since then i have never had another itch or acne. i continue to take 1/2tsp in about 6oz water on an empty stomach in the morning about every 3 days.

Baking soda can be a big help in keeping the body alkalized if you have cancer. A necessary part of a successful treatment program. To keep a urine pH of 7.5 to 8.0 pH 1/2 to 1 tsp once or twice a day in 1/2 to 1 glass of water will probably be needed.
I divide 3 servings over the day. At breakfast I just sprinkle some on my fried egg, and drink a glass of roosvicee strawberry syrup with mineral water, one teaspoon organic apple vinegar with the mother. Then i had all in all about half a teaspoon divided through the day. What does it matter how you ingest something, it all ends up in the same stomach. That stuff is salty, and nasty in water, why torture yourself, just use it as salt, use it on savory foods.

I don't have acid reflux but coffee was starting to bother me and I was NOT giving up coffee at one cup a day, so I started on HCL about a year ago. . This licked the problem completely as we don't have enough acid in our gut. Once in a while I will take baking soda and it works!! Never all the time. But, baking soda is so much better than popping Tums. I'm not into aluminum.

Dr. Berg is right on. You can't digest your food if your stomach is not acidic enough. Baking soda may have instant relief from heartburn, but it's only a bandage fix. Apple cider vinegar is extremely acidic and helps to digest our food. As Dr. Berg mentions, heartburn is caused by low acidic levels. As soon as you drink a few tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water, heartburn is instantly relieved and our stomachs can continue to digest and process food.
I just researched that bit, hundreds of medical sites disagree - saying heartburn is caused by EXCESSIVE ACID. And that makes sense since ACID BURNS AND DISSOLVES everything that goes in. This is like saying "if you're standing on embers, then you're on fire, get more fire to put out the fire"
@@Gyrannon I don't know what medical sites you looked at and whether or not they were authentic, but my experience is whenever I have heartburn, apple cider vinegar instantly relieves it. I believe that's because our stomach is not acidic enough and it triggers the stomach sphincter to open allowing the acid in the stomach to move up the esophagus. The high acid content in the stomach keeps the sphincter closed when we are not eating.
I tried the betain hyrdrochlorid for bad gerd and it about killed me. Later on I took 1/2 teaspoon soda in one half glass of warm water every evening for two years and don't need to take it regularly any more. Good heart rate, good BP and all so one size does not fit all.

Glad you cleared that up. You should NOT consume it for a LONG time period. I just started drinking baking soda with lemon in the morning. Another expert suggested it. But he only recommended it for 5 days period. I also have apple cider vinegar with lemon and cinnamon which I will take at night.

If u want to avoid damaging stomach simply place baking soda in an enteric coated capsule. It will skip the stomach and break down in the small intestine which is not alkaline. U can also get apple cider vinegar powder to take it together.

carl de wet: the easiest way to lose weight whilst not starving yourself is to eliminate all sugar, and most carbohydrates like bread, pasta etc. I get my carbs from green leafy vegetables. I cook in butter or lard, any natural fat, eat a normal amount of protein, cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, cream, and I try and eat in a 4 hour window each day. I do not bother with calories. This is a no fuss way of eating that gives plenty of energy, you feel wonderful and you will definitely not put on weight. Cutting sugar out of your diet totally will stop cravings, your desire to eat the bad stuff.
It senses acid. If it senses too low it opens up. I have GERD and mine doesn't work very well, it's quite complicated. There might be other signaling involved I'm not sure but having low PH acid (as opposed to the western medical explanation of having too much stomach acid) causes the valve to open too much. I think there must be an inverse relationship between what you put in to your body, and your body's ability to produce a particular ph of acid. Ideally lots of alkaline foods will let your body produce a strong acid, while lots of acidic foods make it very hard for your body to produce a good acid, because the rest of the body being too acidic already somehow makes it impossible. Another factor is your gut bacteria, which have a large effect on the stomach acid as well.
A lack of food can cause reflux. In my observation eating a meal that large and has fried food prepared in vegetable oil/shortening and chili pepper spices causes it. A fried chicken with too much oil served with gravy made of shortening.
I used baking soda to get rid of 6 tumors. It only took a couple of months. After that there was one really large 19cm tumor left that I had out with surgery. But when they got to it, they found no other cancers and hence no chemo or radiation. That was 14 years ago.

I have been using baking soda mixed with coconut oil, peppermint oil and myrrh oil as a toothpaste for more than a week now and I see a big difference. My teeth became whiter, my gum inflammation has decreased. Before I brush my teeth, I do oil pulling, I mix olive oil and cloves with garlic. It made a big difference. Also consume natural prebiotics, keffir, yoghurt, yakult etc.

I have been suffering with “asthma” and joint pain in my lower back, shoulders and wrists. All my conditions have inflammation in common. I recently had another mountain bike accident and had intense pain in my shoulder. I somehow happened upon some random video that suggested that baking soda helps with pain. I was like whatever and I took a small spoonful of baking soda and put it in my sparkling water and apple juice. The new drink fizzed and then I downed it……my asthma and joint pain disappeared…..I’m still in shock a week later that my asthma is gone as well as the inflammation in my joints.GONE.

I don’t care what this guy says, all I know is that since having my gallbladder removed in 2003 I’ve suffered years of acid reflux, endured painful bouts of gerd that would last for weeks, had countless procedures, barium meals, gastroscopies etc then I started using bicarbonate of soda my gerd has gone, completely not had it for 6 months.
My mom had gallbladder stone last 3 yrs ago. I have around 2 teaspoons in the morning with about the same amount of lemon juice mixed into a small amount of warm water. I do this about 45 to 60 mins before i have breakfast. I take 1/2 teaspoon baking soda, dissolved in 2 tablespoons of Bragg's apple cider vinegar. Once it is dissolved, no more fizzing, I add 8 ounces of water. I drink this every morning. I do not have, nor did I have, acid reflux!! After taking this my blood pressure went down. I'm diabetic, my A1C went from 6.5 to just below 5. It is helping me.

I heard too that a gentleman on UA-cam used baking soda to lower his a1c. Crazy though, he added a little lemonade because he had heard adding lemon juice helped lol. Squeezing a lemon is not the same as adding lemonade silly man. Still, his a1c changed he said but as a diabetic I would think lemonade would spike his blood sugar at that moment.

Lol After the ACV dissolves the Baking Soda, I add good clean water, NOT out of the faucet! Up to the shoulders of the jar, an inch and a half or so from the top. If you have a whole house filter or something like that, the water should be fine. Our water here in TN., smells like BLEACH!! I don't use it except to wash clothes and flush the toilet!! We all know that there are plenty of doctors who are C grade doctors, just passed the med school and don’t know much about diagnosing patients, thereby experimenting on them by prescribing wrong meds.
You Dr. Berg are not only knowledgeable but also very thorough about explaining GERD. Millions of people suffer everyday from this problem and if you ask the doctors they never give you a good explanation; instead they will prescribe Nexium, Prilosec etc.
I’m sure after this video people will finally know exactly why, where, and why they have acid reflux. I don’t have acid reflux anymore, but I used to have it but I never took any pharmaceutical drug for that. However many people in my family has this problem and I helped them to get better.

When my wife has acid reflux in the middle of the night I mix her a glass of two teaspoons bicarb in warm water with a squeeze of lemon - and it’s gone within seconds!!! Way more effective and cheaper than your prescription meds!

I am over 65. After being on Keto for a while I started getting gout flare ups every couple of months. Regular doses of Baking soda helped but I think it made my stomach too alkaline so I could not digest proteins and fats. I started taking HCL with protein meals and it solved both my problems. I haven't had a gout attack in six months and I can digest proteins as long as I take HCL. Thanks to Dr. Berg.

Is your Keto diet heavy or moderate on red meat? Remember that ketones can compete with uric acid in the kidneys. Did you begin with the flares after starting Keto? What brand HCL are you using?
I am not that fond of red meat I have some maybe once every two weeks. My protein intake was not high at all. When I ate a meal with say 3 ozs of protein I would feel bloated and did not feel like it was digesting for 7 to 8 hrs. I take NOW Betaine HCL. I take one tablet for every 6 grams of protein so If I have a chicken breast I take about 3 or 4 capsules. The flares started when I was on keto so I gave it up for a while but started putting on weight so I found this solution and I am back on keto and can eat beef,shrimp etc. which previously would immeditely start the ache in my big toe.
You raise an interesting point. Whether BS or ACV is the solution to your digestion issues may depend on your diet. Every person's body is different as well, we don't all eat the same.
I’ve been taking baking soda for my past53 years. While I was pregnant 4x for my acid reflex and baking soda to this day has brought me comfort. Sooooo sorry to contradict you. If it’s not for every one🤷🏻♀️for me works wonders.

I don't take it anymore for acid reflux because after I changed my diet and drastically reduced my intake of mass produced bread (poison) and sugar (high fructose corn syrup), I stopped having acid reflux. But before that I took Bob's Red Mill baking soda. It doesn't have aluminum like Arm & Hammer. When I reduced bread and sugar by about 95% weight began to literally fall off me. I've lost close to 40 lbs in less than a year just from reducing those 2 things, plus I had already quit sodas for the most part.
Arm & Hammer Baking Soda doesn't have aluminum either, only baking POWDER does. Don't be fooled by the so called "aluminum free" marketing ploy.

I measured the Ph of my family's drinking water and it was acidic so we decided to put the tip of a tea spoon in a gallon to make it neutral. I've been doing it for 3 years now. Is this ok to do?
Also, I used to suffer from acid reflux and bloating etc.. I never took medications but I would put the tip of a teaspoon in a 8oz glass and the symptoms would disappear in 30 minutes or less. I continued once daily after lunch because the symptoms had completely vanished. I eventually stopped because I no longer have symptoms. When I had gastritis from time to time, my stomach would get bloated and hurt. Taking a pinch of baking soda stirred in warm water for a few days got rid of the bloating. Worked every time. I tried medications but they would not work as fast. The recommended amount is 1/4 teaspoon per morning on empty stomach but I took way, way less than that because I didn’t want the side effects.

I personally only take roughly quarter of a tea spoon in about Half a glass of filtered water 💦 ( recommend using a portable Berky filtering system , distillers are expensive to run and last only a couple of years at £145 a time to purchase , not worth the money and big and bulky and take hrs to distill the water , the Berky takes 10 mins ) 🌻

@@rigobryant8050 you name it I had it, besides stomach problems I had joint pain, I can literally eat something and within 15-20 minutes get severe joint pain or even shooting joint pains through my fingers, ankles, back of my neck shoulders and then I could take activated charcoal and when it's 30 minutes to an hour and it will be completely gone so it's something in my stomach. also had a lot of brain fog short term memory loss any type of starch or carbohydrate would bring those on and for a while I had a lot of skin problems reactions light red patches dandruff stuff like that. I still have it, it just got allot better, I've know for years it's all about Acid Alkaline balance. Depending on if I'm acid or alkaline I'll go from (Acid) sleeping 4 hours in the middle of the day to (Alkaline) having so much energy I work out 2 or three to four times and still want to do more, no nap and only sleeping 5 hours a night but feeling great.

If I were you I would find a doctor be it medical or homeopathic and talk him/her into giving me B12 shots intramuscularly. The B12 complex it is better for the body and absorbs better also. Most doctors don't know there is a huge difference between the different forms of B12 and always give the cianocobalomin which does not absorbs well. The one you want is methylcobalamin. Sorry but I can't spell those words. I am not a doctor and I am not prescribing anything just sharing what I have learned. B12 deficiency mimics several neurological disorders.

a month ago i consistently have pains on my lower stomach specifically on kidney area. i was worried i might have kidney stones i hurts when i touches it.. then i tried to use baking soda on my water. after drinking 3-4 hours later the pain disappears and it never came back until now. i read that baking soda can dissolve kidney stone build ups so i tried it and i think that helps me a lot and saves me in trouble until now baking soda is on my water. no side effects seen so far,. afterall drinking baking soda will not make ur stomach alkaline completely because it will only stay there for a moment until it was thrown to intestines and absorb by the body.
... unless you've had your gall bladder removed, it's job is to store bile which is stomach acid, then when you eat, it releases that bile into the stomach to process the food. Without the GB your Liver drips continually bile directly into the stomach wether there's food in it or not, without the full flush of bile the GB would have provided, your stomach no longer is able to fully process the vitamin and nutrients and fats as before, therefore you have a tendency to be low in Vit A, B12, D, K and processing some fats to name a few, it also affects the stomach acid balance too.

@@magicnier211 i can tell you one thing, anything i have tried and that is everything hurts my stomach and gets even more bloated only baking soda works. And my husband takes ACV and i works perfect for him. I don’t know what is with my body, im 39, 65kg but only my stomach is bloated last 10 years. When i 1 tea spoon soda 4-5 days with water a little before and 20-30 min after eating is is amazing! I’m just afraid to take it more that 3-4 days a month. I drink this one tea spoom for whole day for 3 meals before and after. With ACV i get more bloated, more reflux, heartburn and metal taste in my mouth.
I think it all depends on how your body copes with it, it's good to listen to Drs advice but most importantly listen to your body

Thank you SO much for posting this. I had thrush, and people were telling me to take baking soda, and I did. Thankfully, a friend sent her nutritionist friend over, and she said "Stop the b.soda. It is buffering your already too buffered stomach. " I stopped it, and although it took a couple of years, I made a full recovery.
To all those who come here searching for answers, unless your saliva ph is around a 4, you could take b. soda for years and not notice you are making the stomach more alkaline until you get thrush, or GERD, or whatever - leaky gut, yup, I had that, too. I'm not looking to argue with anyone, just hope to help, and support Dr Berg's advice.

I keep trying to explain to my 82 year old mother she should try ACV, but she refuses saying it would upset her stomach. She's used baking soda for years, for her upset stomach. The Drs don't help, they just throw pills and treatments her way. Ugh.
mickyunit - maybe she would agree to try ACV capsules? My neighbor tried them and it's been working well for her. She takes one before a meal. Crazy how a little thing helps. She also takes one of Dr. Berg's Bile salts *after* that meal. I'm the "crazy nutrition neighbor," but we figured it wouldn't hurt to try! She's a trooper, and now on her 2nd bottles of both supplements.
I am 65 and I take HCL with any meals that are high in fat and protein. It helps a lot.

I had gurd for a while and was prescribed Prilosec. I also started eating yogurt and fiber. I stopped taking the Prilosec after a couple weeks but keep eating yogurt and fiber. I haven't had gurd since.
I used to get bad indigestion and acid reflex almost daily. At night baking soda would nock it out. Once I started a little AVC and water in the mornings it all went away in a few days. No more indigestion at all, even if I eat chili. May not work for everyone, but it does for me and several people that I’ve told it to.

In India baking soda has been used for ages. It is used in idlo, dosa and other food items. People have lived long without any other ailments. ENO salt a combination of citric acid and sodium bicarbonate is best cure for acidity & constipation.
Baking soda cured my gout the first time 20 years ago in three days. I found home remedy on some obscure forum on the internet. The doctor wrote me a prescription but I did not like the side effects. Fast forward 15 years and my fibromyalgia got really really bad the pain was just like gout in every joint and I suffered for a month barely able to move. The doctor told me all this is your new normal and I was like oh hell no so when I went home I started thinking what is different what is wrong and I thought it every joint feels like my toe did back years ago.

I'm healing from stage 4 congestive heart failure. I'm attempting to lose the need for pharmaceutical diuretics. I responded to a high salt diet very well (plus the keto and carnivore diets). In the hospital I was forced into a 3 month food fast because I was subjected to a low salt diet caused digestion problems ("The Salt Fix" book helped). I learned from my naturopathic connections that thiamine is the solution to congestive heart failure. The vitamin B1 corrected the heart difficulty. My cardiologist was stumped. Now, I'm attempting to take some weight off. Converting fat to CO2 and H2O is easy but the water likes to stay. I've started drinking water with salt and apple cider vinegar in it. It seems to be working as well as the strong diuretic the doctor gave me did. My weight is dropping. In generalities, what am I not seeing?

I made the ginger tea and sprinkled a few chili flakes into it. (not too hot to drink) The relief was instant. It worked for my sister too

The key to managing inflammation is diet, certain things are triggering and others prevent. If you type natural anti inflammatories into YT, there are quite a few good videos showing what to eat and what to avoid. But the ginger and chili are what worked for me and my sis. Good video but from my experience some cases of advanced ulcers or stomach cancer, apple cider vinegar "alone" can further irritate the condition. That is because the mucosal layer and epithelial layers have been compromised and any acid on the raw tissue can cause further aggravation and pain. This is where 5 percent solution of baking soda several times a day on an empty stomach for a short time can be very helpful. The problem usually arises from a combination of stress, poor diet and/or a low salt diet. You need iodine, zinc, sodium chloride, etc., to make stomach acid. A common scenario is stress with a diet of sweets and grain/flour products. The phytates in the grains generally prevent mineral absorption especially zinc. Zinc is tied directly to the metabolic syndrome including low stomach acid and digestive enzyme production, diarrhea, insomnia, depression, vision, cardiovascular disorders, diabetes, and cancer. Supplementing with zinc and niacin can help restart the endocrine system and alleviate numerous metabolic conditions. We have a DRUG problem in the US .. any town which has several pharmacies .. as in Walmart etc. has a vested interest in selling their Drugs. There is no one in the Pharmacy business making $Money (another drug) off of simple things like Baking Soda or Apple Cider Vinegar. Let me give you a couple simple ways to show you the high value of using Baking Soda in two very different situations. Think about a battery in your car .. it contains Battery Acid. You can make a solution of Baking Soda in water and drip it on the battery terminals and soon the corrosion will be gone. Avoiding grains, are you serious! Grains are part of a healthy diet. You just have to be balanced and avoid grains that have been processed. Instead eat grains and grain products that are organic. Raw sugar in a moderate amount or honey I a moderate amount is healthy. Cutting out all grains is totally unnecessary and can be unhealthy. While in may cut out sugar it can be safely consumed by eating fruits and vegetables.
Thank you for this information. I suddenly began to experience severe Acid Reflex, Heart Burn and Bloating So I've starting to use baking soda. I have to agree with him on this video, I was taking one teaspoon of baking soda every morning because I wanted a high alkaline PH, the problem was, it was not short term. I tried to donate blood one day, and was refused, because my BP was 140/110, I was always 120/80. I immediately stopped the baking soda, I am now back to normal 120/80 and lower, two weeks later I was able to donate again. As they always say, too much of anything is not always better.

I say stress this because to those doubters out there I am quite confident that what you're saying is absolutely correct. I not only learned all of this basic chemistry and biology back in school, as could anyone today with access to a library or the internet, but also was diagnosed with GERD in the mid 90's when I was just in high school. A nurse also taught me the dangers of using baking soda for this too often and using too much. So I am just telling those who automatically do not trust doctors that this one is being absolutely trustworthy. I would love a doctor like you to make a video going over skin care routines for the different types of skin and tell us what products and ingredients in products we should and shouldn't be using for each and in general because one of my most aggravating health complaints is my skin issues. I struggle with cystic acne on my chin, hyperpigmentation on my forehead and cheeks, dry skin all over my body and this is on top of dealing with Juvenile onset Rheumatoid Arthritis. Cystic acne can be a result of too much estrogen. I do not know your age but you may need HRT. A good probiotic can help with skin health. Sauerkraut, grass-fed yogurt, Garden of Life brand Primal defense. Also, drinking bentonite clay water and using the same clay in masque form will do wonders. Fast sugar. I had acid reflux for years. I started to take NaHCo3 and it went away. I realized that the free hydrogen radical in baking soda makes it act as an acid or alkaline. Also fats are digested in the jejunum not the stomach or duodenum, and fats causes a lot of indigestion. The gall bladder also produces an alkaline secretion that can cause acid reflux.
The acid effects of the baking soda also dissolved the calcium in my joints and cured my bursitist . I don't suffer with gout or arthritist.

I recently suffered from LPR and I also believe I have elevated histamine levels as I get terrible sneezing in the morning when I first awaken. I take 1/2 teaspoon of potassium bicarbonate during my fasting window. It seems to be alkaline. I breakfast with a cocktail of ACV, juice of lime and lemon .
Here's a thought. I would imagine that taking baking soda would neutralize the acid in stomach and esophagus giving relief however since human body functions are designed in a way to reach for balance (stasis?) this (taking soda) should trigger the stomach to produce more acid and perhaps achieve the desirable pH for digestion.
Thought the Same way, because I read that Taking Soda will trigger the Stomach to increase acid production so that it is not recommanded for neutralising reflux. But now after this video I think it is even more useful than before, because it will help to increase the acid level after the stomach got triggered with soda.

Planeta Blog I've been researching baking soda. From what I understand, it's great for the body but alkalizes the stomach which is bad. What you want to do is keep your body alkaline, but your stomach acidic.

I've never had acid reflex in my life. I'm a 30-year-old man, and I've been using baking soda once or twice a week mixed with apple cider vinegar and clean filtered water for a decades. My family actually continued this practice learned in our home country. Obviously there is instructions following with the using of this. I take it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach and I don't eat anything for a few hours even after. It has improved my digestion, maneuvers the bowels, it has cleaned my digestive track and kidneys, and pushed things out of my body that have been stuck for years. The stomach acid levels correct it self through out the day… Considering, I also drink apple cider vinegar between and sometimes with meals. I usually follow a fasting period with this regimen. What are your thoughts on this?...
And if, I can add. It has kept my skin and body feeling and looking really young and rejuvenating. I use baking soda for everything.
I also want to add that this... -It has helped push out toxins, heavy metals, and overall help with detox.

I was watching another video about the benefits of drinking baking soda and water every day on an empty stomach, and your video provided the right insight and warnings of what would happen if you misuse baking soda and water by ingesting too much. It is always good to know both sides of the story so that a person can make an informed decision before taking "home remedies". I don't happen to have any of the listed health issues that the video suggested that baking soda and water would cure, so I realized after watching your video (it just so happened to automatically play after the other video I mentioned) that by drinking baking soda and water as a preventative measure would probably do more harm than good by causing health problems that I didn't to begin with.

It never gets past the stomach.
It does when you use the coated version that dissolves after the stomach. If you don't then you make cause gas where there was no problem.
Andrew Hunter i think it helps the kidneys. i took 1/2tsp every 2-3 days. the first week i started i had a slight itch in my lower back over the kidneys. after about a week i had acne appear on my left kidney area. when the acne burst there was a very small ‘chip’ of a hard substance. the acne occurred twice. since then i have never had another itch or acne. i continue to take 1/2tsp in about 6oz water on an empty stomach in the morning about every 3 days.

i used baking soda in warm water and it relieved my symtoms.
Baking soda can be a big help in keeping the body alkalized if you have cancer. A necessary part of a successful treatment program. To keep a urine pH of 7.5 to 8.0 pH 1/2 to 1 tsp once or twice a day in 1/2 to 1 glass of water will probably be needed.
I divide 3 servings over the day.
At breakfast I just sprinkle some on my fried egg, and drink a glass of roosvicee strawberry syrup with mineral water, one teaspoon organic apple vinegar with the mother.

I don't have acid reflux but coffee was starting to bother me and I was NOT giving up coffee at one cup a day, so I started on HCL about a year ago. . This licked the problem completely as we don't have enough acid in our gut. Once in a while I will take baking soda and it works!! Never all the time. But, baking soda is so much better than popping Tums. I'm not into aluminum.

Dr. Berg is right on. You can't digest your food if your stomach is not acidic enough. Baking soda may have instant relief from heartburn, but it's only a bandage fix. Apple cider vinegar is extremely acidic and helps to digest our food. As Dr. Berg mentions, heartburn is caused by low acidic levels. I just researched that bit, hundreds of medical sites disagree - saying heartburn is caused by EXCESSIVE ACID. And that makes sense since ACID BURNS AND DISSOLVES everything that goes in.

@@Gyrannon I don't know what medical sites you looked at and whether or not they were authentic, but my experience is whenever I have heartburn, apple cider vinegar instantly relieves it. I believe that's because our stomach is not acidic enough and it triggers the stomach sphincter to open allowing the acid in the stomach to move up the esophagus. The high acid content in the stomach keeps the sphincter closed when we are not eating.

I tried the betain hyrdrochlorid for bad gerd and it about killed me. Later on I took 1/2 teaspoon soda in one half glass of warm water every evening for two years and don't need to take it regularly any more. Good heart rate, good BP and all so one size does not fit all.

Glad you cleared that up. You should NOT consume it for a LONG time period. I just started drinking baking soda with lemon in the morning. Another expert suggested it. But he only recommended it for 5 days period. I also have apple cider vinegar with lemon and cinnamon which I will take at night.

If u want to avoid damaging stomach simply place baking soda in an enteric coated capsule. It will skip the stomach and break down in the small intestine which is not alkaline. U can also get apple cider vinegar powder to take it together.
There is nothing magical about apple cider vinegar, other than it's use as a fad cure-all.

carl de wet: the easiest way to lose weight whilst not starving yourself is to eliminate all sugar, and most carbohydrates like bread, pasta etc. I get my carbs from green leafy vegetables. I cook in butter or lard, any natural fat, eat a normal amount of protein, cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, cream, and I try and eat in a 4 hour window each day. I do not bother with calories. This is a no fuss way of eating that gives plenty of energy, you feel wonderful and you will definitely not put on weight.

It senses acid. If it senses too low it opens up. I have GERD and mine doesn't work very well, it's quite complicated. There might be other signaling involved I'm not sure but having low PH acid (as opposed to the western medical explanation of having too much stomach acid) causes the valve to open too much. I think there must be an inverse relationship between what you put in to your body, and your body's ability to produce a particular ph of acid. Ideally lots of alkaline foods will let your body produce a strong acid, while lots of acidic foods make it very hard for your body to produce a good acid, because the rest of the body being too acidic already somehow makes it impossible. Another factor is your gut bacteria, which have a large effect on the stomach acid as well.
A lack of food can cause reflux. In my observation eating a meal that large and has fried food prepared in vegetable oil/shortening and chili pepper spices causes it. A fried chicken with too much oil served with gravy made of shortening.
