    In Logic, Command-U sets the Cycle to the selected clip range.

      Wow ! You have know idea how long I tried figuring that out. Thanks ! Typical logic where the short cuts don’t really make sense. Lol I would of never guess cmd U lol learned something new. I think they way they wrote it in the manual really tripped me up.

      You're welcome. It was easy to find. I searched the word 'loop' in the Key Commands and it was the first one in the list :). @@Jamusictv

      You can also just press U if you want to set the rounded locators which pretty much does the same thing as setting locators but will round to a bar. So if the locator is not exactly on a bar it won't change the loop points. Since most people round to the bars anyway pressing U will set loop points to regions like Bitwig.

    Great video! So many fantastic features in Bitwig! I've been using it for a few years now and just became a. certified trainer. Heres a cool trick! If your messing around in clip view you can buil up your scenes, then you can drag the top of the scenes into the arranger and it will lay out the clips looped with the longest clip of the group being the length of the scene. Quick arrangements!!
    Great channel!! 🙏🙏

      I agree. Such a cool DAW. That’s a cool trick. I need to try that. Thanks for watching !

    Very good points! I started with a hybrid setup on Cubase 12 and Bitwig 4 at the time, after about a year I fully switched and haven't looked back since. Bitwig released more features in that 1 year than Cubase had in the past 6 years, and I suspect a lot of other DAWs are getting left in the dark too. You mentioned a lot of UX stuff which is great, not many people talk about that but it's valid for sure!

      Thanks ! It seems like the devs of Bitwig really understood how to program a DAW that is very essential to music production and mixing. Really focusing on what is most important. If they will bring a chord track like Cubase that will be nice. Yeah to me UX is important because it. Really helps with workflow and visibility. Thanks again for watching.

      @@Jamusictv totally! funny you mention the chord track dude, I just did a video on my channel about that and how to recreate something similar in bitwig but with a bit more expandability. I put it out just over a week ago (its the one about 5 things I wish I knew when starting bitwig)

      @@DashGlitch nice ! Will definitely check that out tonight ! Btw the way it’s a small world. I just realized I marked your video on CTZ to watch later about a day or two ago. I’m half way through the CTZ series that Baphometrix posted a year ago and I saw you had a condensed version. Awesome !

    FYI the clip launcher is the left side and the arranger on the right. BTW enjoyed the content. Switched almost 2 years ago and yes Bitwig is dope.

      In just two years it has evolved quite a bit and they continue to evolve it with every update, which I love. I still use Ableton for mixing because well I get a sound from Ableton that I just can't seem to recreate in any other Daw. The workflow in Bitwig to me is what sets it apart. The clip launcher being next to the arranger leads to next level production and arrangement options that makes Ableton seem ancient in its approach. You can rename the scenes to fit your arrangement like intro, verse chorus etc and drag over entire section of arrangement which is absolutely OD. I can experiment with song parts and sections in a way that you simply can't in other Daws this easily. If you can't tell I think Bitwig is awesome, but the mixing and pian roll needs major improvement.@@Jamusictv

      @trespearman4563 that’s awesome ! I think you are right about the paino roll. Seems a bit behind. The mixing I’m still getting a hand of in this DAW. But like you said Ableton does help with mixing and how is sounds. I think because how nice it soft clips in sum.

    Been using Cubase for 20 years. One year of Bitwig now and I have not touched Cubase for over 6 months.

      I have heard that. I purchased Bitwig like three or so months ago. And I love it !!! I’m still learning it. So I use Logic as a hybrid. But can you tell me what made you switch after that long ? I really love the chord track and it’s features in Cubase. But not sure if bitwig can do details chord progressions like that. Thanks !

    Curves is fantastic ! If only Logic had all the mod capabilities !!

    • @Jamusictv
      @Jamusictv  Рік тому +1

      I agree ! Curves is insane. If Logic could implement something like that. Fix the way you insert plugins/search for them. That’ll be awesome. As much as Logic is dope. They make major upgrade like every 5 years and then disappear. Although I think in the next major upgrade we are in for a treat.

    It's hard to fathom why Apple doesn't make Logic the most functional daw out of all the daws. Apple have more money than all the daw companies added together times a billion. For me I wouldn't change from Logic but other daws have special features that Logic doesn't have. Logic is just one other daw for people to choose and use when it could easily be the number one daw for all user levels . Im happy to stick to Logic, its nice to look at and I know my way around enough to not want to try anything else. It often has glitches and bugs that can be annoying and ruin the music we make which also shouldn't happen. I find I have to always update Logic when there are updates or things start going wrong

    • @Jamusictv
      @Jamusictv  Рік тому +1

      I agree. I think honestly. Apple is so dang big as a company . That Logic is just a pet project for them. Apple makes tons of money else where so I can’t imagine they think Logic as a priority giving the scope and size of the company. But I can be totally wrong.
