There is another reverb in Bitwig, kind of. Add Delay+, set the delay time to 0.00ms, set the Blur character to Space and 100%, and tweak the feedback, EQ, ducking, and width to taste. The delay time acts as a pre-delay, and feedback becomes reverb time.
@@AlexReidStudios I mean, the other Blur characters can work with longer Feedback times, but I think Space sounds the best as a reverb. It’s kind of like having a stock, customizable, mini Valhalla Supermassive.
Lots of good tips in this one, and easy to apply to other daws. would love a convolution video. probably one of my favorite effects. If you want a very interesting convolution plugin, try fog convolver 2 by audio thing. lets you run more than one IR in a few different configurations for some really cool results.
I was frustrated about the lack of being able to mute/solo and change volume of multiple selected tracks, BUT IT EXISTS!!!! Thanks! Is there a way to do the same thing from clips? As in that you select clips on the arranger, hit a command and it would solo those tracks? I feel like this would be faster when working on larger projects...
Im having such an issue with these stupid clippers man I'd like to buy 3rd party plugins but the good ones are all crazy expensive thinking about switching over to fl studio as the stock plugins in fl seem way more appealing
@@abstractmonstrosity6757 Surely buying another DAW is more expensive than a plugin? besides in this video you can see how to do it all within Bitwig native devices
@@AlexReidStudios I've tested a couple of free soft clippers but none have yielded the results I long for, moreover, in regards to FL Studio I'm not considering switching daws over just clippers alone, that would be ridiculous. After 2 years of using bitwig and doing some digging online, my frustrations have only increased overtime, mainly in the mixing department. Mixing into master (every track on soft clipper) is tedious to set up, and while I don't have a large issue with the automation, the in-built automation certainly isn't as flexible or versatile as it is in FL. All that aside, my biggest issue lies with the EQ+, yes, I use a third party EQ, but damn was it frustrating when I found out that the EQ+ apparently 'wasn't designed for parallel processing', which was what the developers had stated after receiving massive community backlash. A bit ridiculous for a daw with fx layering as one of it's main strengths to have it's only versatile EQ be incompatible with parallel processing in mind. They use EQ+ to advertise the full package deal as well, which I find hilarious. The FL Studio development team seem to take community feedback seriously, improving the daw by a substantial amount for the most part with every update, stock plugins are amazing, the drum-rack is also leagues ahead of bitwig. Probably won't be switching in a while, but I digress.
Great content! At 8:47, what are all the colored arrows in the upper left corners of all the parameters? Are they indicating that those parameters have active modulation on them?
No, this indicates parameters that are automatically mapped to a connected midi controller. It‘s called "Soft controller assignments", and it follows the device that is currently selected, pretty helpful.
Please can you help me? I got bitwig and I try to mix there but I don't know why if I used my reverb waves Abbey road chambers even if I deactivate all the other plugins it still cracks. And I have a Ryzen 7 and 32gb of ram.
EQ + does not cause the issue you have on my setup. Have you tried it elsewhere? also, it's worth reporting to Bitwig so they can patch it if there is an issue there...
Actually I just use it now for testing because I just got bitwig and I want to produce a track just with stock plugins to learn it better. But I will keep on using fabfilter, no daw EQ comes close to it.
EQ+ is fixed now, so you can use it in parallel :)
I love convolution but a video from you on it would be a godsend
I actually have one :). But I can go deeper

Thanks for the recommendation, gotta try it! It's also one of my fav effects
I somehow can’t change the size of the mixer window. Any tips?
WOOOO BITWIG LETS GOOOO WOOOO
Great stuff Alex!
Thank You!

Great work Sir Rabbit

Amazing content! What are some motorized control surfaces that work well with bitwig?
I'm not sure at the moment, as I don't have one. But there's a lot of info in forums and social media
Yes, convolution video please! 😊
You can download more convolution reverb impulses if you search
Couldn't you compensate EQ+ with time shift? That was extremely useful in any case, thanks!
OK saw the remark below, I guess I'll try a null test then :-)
Right, and the video had this later should have watched til end.
@@jarkkojs Don't worry, we all have commented before ending before haha. I don't know if now on 5.1 it's fixed
that EQ+ was something i tryed to use in mixing and thought there was something strange going in lol - my whole track lost all the sparkle :)
It seems it has been fixed on the latest update :)

The worst part about Bitwig is that EQ+ is so good… but has such a major flaw
Agree, they should fix it
They just fixed it in 5. 1 ! ☀
