1975 my cousin & me, 10 & 12, riding together on a 6hp mini, no governor, just shorts and flip flops when we ate it at about 50mph... on a Wasonite Road. Wasonite is a ground up crystaline mineral that hard packs like ground glass & sand paper. We picked Wasonite out of our arms, legs & backs for years. I think it was that lil Rupp size.
The little Engine That Could
Love to see a build using. Lawn mower engine. Idk if there are any other. UA-cam, I know I haven't seen one. I know we did one years ago with a 14.5 Briggs using a boat drive. I can't weld so it didn't turn out the best but it was cool...

I built one with that frame and I didn't need to use any spacers just pounded that back fender bracket back about 2 inches and flipped the rear fender around. You can use the stock gas tank and stock exhaust that way too.

I like how Lonnie turned the footpeg into a kick stand lol! An that had to of made him feel the pucker up on that stretch! Maybe a lil bar to keep it from going all the way
I have three doodle bugs and love them! I got 2 of them for $65 each and the other for $100.
And that's how the bars got bent..

This is why something like a new Coleman is hard to justify buying. I regularly find projects that I have less than $200 into. Including a Coleman.
I agree, but it also depends on where you are located. I only paid $429 shipped for my CT200U-EX from Tractor Supply the first day they started selling them. Even though it arrived in a smashed box with quite a few imperfections (no grease in any of the bearings, paint scratched, bent tabs) I still felt like it was a good deal because worn out junk was (and still is) going for $300 around here. If I could've found a bike for half that I would've had a hard time justifying the Coleman. As it stands though I would've been out $300 for a used bike plus probably $2-300 in parts to fix it up.
I bought a Baja warrior for 300$ Thats pretty much brand new condition. Although it’s stock and slow. Top speed is 22mph
As me as a mechanic/rider I crashed my monster moto going 25 I was bleeding on my knees and elbows it hurts so be safe

here is a secret for putting hand grips on. put a little liquid dish soap on the inside. the soap dries out and it leaves the grip solid

My brother,I stumbled upon you doing the mobility scooter build&I've been hooked ever since,I really enjoyed the vids about the Coleman mini bikes,personally I thought they were junk,nothing more than some cheap Chinese made crap with the Coleman named slapped on it,but now due to your vids covering the Coleman mini bikes I now know there a decent worthwhile product to have&after seeing how easy they are to modify,well my brother I'm sold!!!...I appreciate what your doing,as always,I will come back to red beards garage

Way cool I just traded a 1911 co2 B.B. gun for a basically new motovox mb10 . Feel kind of bad it didn’t run but when I got it home I found out the put 2 stroke mix in it and the plug was fouled . Runs like a champ but I think I’ll be doing the 6.5 predator upgrade . Good job brother...Also , Lonnie one word .......ouch

I have a doodle bug mini bike with a 12 tooth clutch #35 chain no tensioner or adjuster with a 60 tooth rear sprocket did about 40 miles an hour no brakes

I got the same thing but it's a stock hemi with governor bypassed zipe tie tops a 35-41 depending on fuel type 87-35 93-41 and that mfa gets to 25 in 3secs if that u gotta hold on or it'll slide off from under you good times

I have an old homemade mini bike like this one. It has a death wobble in the front wheel. I think there's a problem with the trail. Is there any way to fix it without cutting the neck off and rewelding it?
